SALAT UL KUSUF What's Salat ul Kusuf? It is the prayer performed when there is a solar eclipse. The Prophet (ﷺ)taught that eclipses are not caused by someone's birth or death; rather, they are among the signs of Allah. |Sahih al-Bukhari 1058| ⤸ Narrated Aisha: In the lifetime of the Prophet (ﷺ) the sun eclipsed and the Prophet (p.b.u.h) stood up to offer the prayer with the people and recited a long recitation, then he performed a prolonged bowing, and then lifted his head and recited a prolonged recitation which was shorter than the first. Then he performed a prolonged bowing which was shorter than the first and then lifted his head and performed two prostrations. He then stood up for the second raka and offered it like the first. Then he stood up and said, "The sun and the moon do not eclipse because of someone's life or death but they are two signs amongst the signs of Allah which He shows to His worshipers. So whenever you see them, make haste for the prayer." ------------------------------------------------------------------ Explanation of how you pray it: As mentioned in this sahih bukhari hadith by Aisha (ra), In 1st rakah 1. Qiyam and then as usual recite surah fatiha and any surah along with it 2.then you bow down for ruku (make it a little longer) 3.stand back recite surah fatiha and any surah along with it. 4.then bow down for 2nd ruku(this is shorter than the first one) 5.go for 2 sujoods 6.rise up for 2nd rakah n follow the same as done for 1st rakah 7.tashahud..and complete your salah with salam Sahih al-Bukhari 1065, 1066 ⤸ Narrated Aisha: The Prophet (p.b.u.h) recited (the Qur'an) aloud during the eclipse prayer and when he had finished the eclipse prayer he said the Takbir and bowed. When he stood straight from bowing he would say "Sami 'allahu liman hamidah Rabbana wa laka l-hamd." And he would again start reciting. In the eclipse prayer there are four bowing and four prostrations in two rakat. Al-Auza'i and others said that they had heard Az-Zuhri from 'Urwa from Aisha saying, "In the lifetime of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) the sun eclipsed, and he made a person to announce: 'Prayer in congregation.' He led the prayer and performed four bowing and four prostrations in two rakat." Narrated Al-Walid that Abdur-Rahman bin Namir had informed him that he had heard the same. Ibn Shihab heard the same. Az-Zuhri said, "I asked ('Urwa), 'What did your brother Abdullah bin Az-Zubair do? He prayed two rak`at (of the eclipse prayer) like the morning prayer, when he offered the (eclipse) prayer in Medina.' 'Urwa replied that he had missed (i.e. did not pray according to) the Prophet's tradition." Sulaiman bin Kathir and Sufyan bin Husain narrated from Az-Zuhri that the prayer for the eclipse used to be offered with loud recitation. The recitation should be loudly? Yes, as prophet ﷺ did Sahih Muslim 901 e, 902 a 'A'isha reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) recited loudly in the eclipse prayer, and he observed four rak'ahs in the form of two rak'ahs and four prostrations. Zuhri said: Kathir b. 'Abbas narrated on the authority of Ibn 'Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) observed four rak'ahs and four prostrations in two rak'ahs. 📍Note: There are also authentic narrations with different descriptions of the number of rukus, including Sahih Muslim 908 Ibn 'Abbas reported: When there was a solar eclipse the Messenger of Allah (way peace be upon him) observed eight ruku's and four prostrations (in two rak'ahs). This has been narrated by 'Ali also. ------------------------------------------------------------------ However, the narration of Aishah(ra) describing two ruku's in each rak'ah is considered the stronger/most established description by the majority of scholars, based on the strength and precision of its chains...hence this is the method generally taught as the Sunnah. KIBR | When ego takes over- الكِبْر Kibr… its one of those things we don't even notice creeping into our hearts. "I ain't apologising first." "Why should I listen to them?" "Im better than them!" And remember… this was exactly the attitude of Iblis. When Allah azzawajal told him to prostrate to Adam (as)...he refused and said: أَنَا خَيْرٌ مِّنْهُ "I am better than him." Surah Al-A'raf 7:12 That arrogance is what led to his rejection and curse. Sahih Muslim 91 a It Is narrated on the authority of Abdullah b. Mas'ud that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), observed: He who has in his heart the weight of a mustard seed of pride shall not enter Paradise. A person (amongst his hearers) said: Verily a person loves that his dress should be fine, and his shoes should be fine. He (the Holy Prophet) remarked: Verily, Allah is Graceful and He loves Grace. Pride is disdaining the truth (out of self-conceit) and contempt for the people. And the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “The one who severs the ties of kinship will not enter Paradise.” Sahih al-Bukhari 5984, Sahih Muslim 2556 See how dangerous it iss...make sure you ask yourself: Can I admit I was wrong? Or does my ego always have to win?...if not try your best to remove kibr hidden inside you.. Because sometimes… winning the argument means losing the humility your heart actually needed. and no matter if the person is younger than you or below your standards...! The Importance of Calling One’s Closest Relatives to the Truth Shaykh Muhammad ibn Salih al-Uthaymeen, may Allah have mercy upon him, said: It is obligatory upon us to give special attention to our closest relatives before anyone else. A person should begin with his own household, then his relatives, then those beyond them—beginning with those who are closest, then those next closest—because they have a right upon us. If we do not undertake the responsibility of guiding them and calling them to the truth, then who will guide them and call them? For this reason, Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, said: ﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قُوا أَنفُسَكُمْ وَأَهْلِيكُمْ نَارًا﴾ “O you who believe! Save yourselves and your families from a Fire.” [Sūrah al-Taḥrīm: 6] This responsibility placed upon us by Allah, the Most High, entails that He will question us about it on the Day of Resurrection. It will be said: I commanded you to protect yourselves and your families from the Fire. So just as we will be questioned about ourselves, we will also be questioned about our families. The Prophet ﷺ said: “A man is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock.” From this, it becomes clear that this trust and responsibility is no light matter. 📚Taʿlīq ʿalā Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim (1/632–633).

RAF AL-YADAYN Raf al-Yadayn- Basically, it means raising your hands during salah at certain points and yes, it is authentically proven from the Prophet (ﷺ). Sahih al-Bukhari 735 ➜ Narrated Salim bin Abdullah: My father said, "Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to raise both his hands up to the level of his shoulders when opening the prayer; and on saying the Takbir for bowing. And on raising his head from bowing he used to do the same and then say "Samia l-lahu liman hamidah, Rabbana wa laka l-hamd." And he did not do that (i.e. raising his hands) in prostrations. Also mentioned Sahih Muslim 390a So this isn't just some random practice...it's established through authentic hadith. There is also an authentic narration that the Prophet (ﷺ) raised his hands when standing for the third rak'ah. Sahih al-Bukhari 739 Narrated Nafi: Whenever Ibn Umar started the prayer with Takbir, he used to raise his hands: whenever he bowed, he used to raise his hands (before bowing) and also used to raise his hands on saying, "Samia l-lahu liman hamidah", and he used to do the same on rising from the second raka (for the 3rd raka). Ibn Umar said: "The Prophet (ﷺ) used to do the same." ------------------------------------------------------------------ But yh, there is a difference of opinion among the scholars about Raf al-Yadayn. Some madhhabs practice it at these points, while others don't. If you do it then alhamdulillah you're following an authentic Sunnah of the prophet If someone doesn't, don't start saying their salah is wrong or that they're not following Islam... i have personally experienced this But please remember that: Not doing Raf al-yadayn does NOT make someone's Salah invalid... because it comes under sunnah act but if a fard act of salah is missed then it invalidates the salah

RIYA when a good deed is no longer only for Allah/ basically smjho dikhawe k liye whatever deeds done Riya means: doing an act of worship while wanting to be seen, praised or admired by people. And honestly, this is something we all need to be careful about..... Because sometimes a deed can look beautiful from the outside, but Allah knows what is actually inside our hearts. The Prophet (ﷺ) warned us about this ➜ Sahih Muslim 1905 a It has been narrated on the authority of Sulaiman b. Yasar who said: People dispersed from around Abu Huraira, and Natil, who was from the Syrians. said to him: O Shaikh, relate (to us) a tradition you have heard from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). He said: Yes. I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: The first of men (whose case) will be decided on the Day of Judgment will be a man who died as a martyr. He shall be brought (before the Judgment Seat). Allah will make him recount His blessings (i. e. the blessings which He had bestowed upon him) and he will recount them (and admit having enjoyed them in his life). (Then) will Allah say: What did you do (to requite these blessings)? He will say: I fought for Thee until I died as a martyr. Allah will say: You have told a lie. You fought that you might be called a" brave warrior". And you were called so. (Then) orders will be passed against him and he will be dragged with his face downward and cast into Hell. Then will be brought forward a man who acquired knowledge and imparted it (to others) and recited the Qur'an. He will be brought And Allah will make him recount His blessings and he will recount them (and admit having enjoyed them in his lifetime). Then will Allah ask: What did you do (to requite these blessings)? He will say: I acquired knowledge and disseminated it and recited the Qur'an seeking Thy pleasure. Allah will say: You have told a lie. You acquired knowledge so that you might be called" a scholar," and you recited the Qur'an so that it might be said:" He is a Qari" and such has been said. Then orders will be passed against him and he shall be dragged with his face downward and cast into the Fire. Then will be brought a man whom Allah had made abundantly rich and had granted every kind of wealth. He will be brought and Allah will make him recount His blessings and he will recount them and (admit having enjoyed them in his lifetime). Allah will (then) ask: What have you done (to requite these blessings)? He will say: I spent money in every cause in which Thou wished that it should be spent. Allah will say: You are lying. You did (so) that it might be said about (You):" He is a generous fellow" and so it was said. Then will Allah pass orders and he will be dragged with his face downward and thrown into Hell. SubhanAllah...just imagine doin' something that looks so good, but the intention behind it wasn't for Allah... and all those good deeds will just blow off as dust .... That's why we need to keep checking ourselves: 'If nobody knew about this deed, would I still do it?' 'Am I doing this because Allah loves it, or because I want people to think well of me?' But remember, not every public good deed is automatically riya. Sometimes we share reminders, give charity publicly, or encourage others purely for Allah's sake. The real battle is in our heart. The Prophet ﷺ said: Sahih Muslim 1907 a (The value of) an action depends on the intention behind it. A man will be rewarded only for what he intended. So let's not become people who are obsessed with looking righteous...instead we try becoming people who are genuinely trying to be righteous even when nobody is watching....and try making our character in a way tht someone falls in love with islam.. May Allah subhanawata'alah purify our intentions, accept our deeds,and protect us from riya. Allahumma ameen..

Other opinions exist as well. See for yourself. •If you're an OCD freak, toothpicks or nail cutters aren't expensive dude... •Furthermore, Usool in Fiqh is that "Certainty is not removed by Doubt" ———————————— ✦ Effect on Prayer Surah Maidah, 5:6 Physical Purity of the Body is required for Prayer. → Nails can accumulate Impurity (Najasah, check your respective fiqh books for things that come under Najasah). → However, Impurity in less amount doesn't invalidate prayer, rather it only makes it Makrooh. => Thus, Long Nails have 0 Effect on Prayer. @salaf2khalaf

Sahih Muslim 2720 Abu Huraira reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to supplicate (in these words): " O Allah, set right for me my religion which is the safeguard of my affairs. And set right for me the affairs of my world wherein is my living. And set right for me my Hereafter on which depends my after-life. And make the life for me (a source) of abundance for every good and make my death a source of comfort for me protecting me against every evil." ‏"‏ اللَّهُمَّ أَصْلِحْ لِي دِينِيَ الَّذِي هُوَ عِصْمَةُ أَمْرِي وَأَصْلِحْ لِي دُنْيَاىَ الَّتِي فِيهَا مَعَاشِي وَأَصْلِحْ لِي آخِرَتِي الَّتِي فِيهَا مَعَادِي وَاجْعَلِ الْحَيَاةَ زِيَادَةً لِي فِي كُلِّ خَيْرٍ وَاجْعَلِ الْمَوْتَ رَاحَةً لِي مِنْ كُلِّ شَرٍّ ‏"
