Sahih al-Bukhari 1059: https://sunnah.com/bukhari:1059⁠ • Ruling : Salāt al-Kusūf/Khusūf is Sunnah Mu’akkadah (strongly emphasized Sunnah), not obligatory according to the majority of scholars. • If the eclipse is NOT visible in your region? If an eclipse occurs elsewhere but is not experienced/visible in your locality, you do not pray the eclipse prayer merely because it is occurring elsewhere. The Prophet ﷺ said: “When you see it, then pray…” The ruling is therefore connected to the eclipse occurring in your locality. People of Allah✨️ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: «“Verily Allah has His own people among mankind.” They said: “O Messenger of Allah, who are they?” He ﷺ said: “They are the people of the Qur’an, Allah’s own people and those who are closest to Him.” (Sunan Ibn Majah & Musnad Ahmad; authenticated as Ṣaḥīḥ by Shaykh al-Albānī رحمه الله).» Al-Minnāwī رحمه الله said: «“That is, those who memorise the Qur’an and act in accordance with it are the people of Allah, who are as close to Allah as a person’s family is to him. They are called thus by way of honouring them, just as the Ka‘bah is called the House of Allah.”» It is not sufficient for a person to merely recite the Qur'an in order to be among the people of the Qur'an. Rather, he should strive to understand it, act upon it, adhere to its commands and prohibitions, and follow its guidance. Many of the scholars encouraged having a regular daily portion, and for many people, reciting approximately one juz' each day is a good goal. More importantly, we should reflect upon its meanings and strive to implement its teachings in our lives. May Allah make us from Ahl al-Qur’an. His special people and those who are closest to Him. آمین.

Allah says in surah Aal 'Imran [03]: [إِنَّمَا ذَٰلِكُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ يُخَوِّفُ أَوْلِيَاءَهُ فَلَا تَخَافُوهُمْ وَخَافُونِ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ] It is only the shaytaan who instills in you fear of his allies, so do not fear them but fear Me in you are truly believers. [175] In part of his commentary on this ayah, al-Qurtubi wrote: One who fears Allah is he who fears that Allah will punish Him either in this life or the next. That is why some say, "The fearing person isn't the one who cries and wipes his eyes; the fearful person is the one who stops doing what he fears he would be punished for." So Allah requires His worshipers to fear Him, for He said: [وَخَافُونِ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ] ... but fear Me if you are truly believers [Aal 'Imran 175] and He said: [وَإِيَّايَ فَارْهَبُونِ] ... and fear none but Me [al-Baqarah 40] and He commended the believers for fearing Him when He said: [يَخَافُونَ رَبَّهُم مِّن فَوْقِهِمْ] They fear their Lord above them ... In surah al-Ahzab [33], Allah lists a number of praiseworthy qualities, concluding with: [وَالذَّاكِرِينَ اللَّـهَ كَثِيرًا وَالذَّاكِرَاتِ أَعَدَّ اللَّـهُ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةً وَأَجْرًا عَظِيمًا ] "... and those men and women who remember Allah abundantly - Allah has promised them forgiveness and a great reward." [35] In his book al-Adhkar, Imam al-Nawawi discusses the meaning of "remembering Allah abundantly" and begins his explanation of this with the following narration: [ قال ابن عباس : المراد يذكرون الله في أدبار الصلوات ، وغدوا وعشيا ، وفي المضاجع ، وكلما استيقظ من نومه ، وكلما غدا أو راح من منزله ذكر الله تعالى.] Ibn 'Abbaas said: The intended meaning is that they remember Allah after their prayers, in the mornings and the evenings, when laying on their beds, whenever he awakes from sleep, and whenever he sets out in the morning or leaves his home he remembers Allah. [al-Adhkar 1/10] Sheikh 'Abd al-Razzaq al-Badr mentioned this narration in his explanation of the book Tuhfah al-Akhyar [class 2] and mentioned that "If nothing else had reached us regarding this subject, this statement would be enough" for this statement includes:  -the adhkar of the prayer and following the prayer -the adhkar of the morning and evening -the adhkar of sleep and when one stirs in their sleep -the adhkar related to leaving the home and being outside such as when one mounts his riding animal, when he enters and leaves the masjid, when he returns home, when he eats, etc.

Authentic Dua's for Knowledge & Success in Studies 1. Increase Me in Knowledge رَبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا "My Lord, increase me in knowledge." Qur'an 20:114 2. Grant Me Wisdom رَبِّ هَبْ لِي حُكْمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ "My Lord, grant me wisdom and join me with the righteous." Qur'an 26:83 3. Ask for Beneficial Knowledge اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا "O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good lawful provision, and accepted deeds." Sunan Ibn Mājah (925) — Sahih 4. Teach Me What Benefits Me اللَّهُمَّ انْفَعْنِي بِمَا عَلَّمْتَنِي، وَعَلِّمْنِي مَا يَنْفَعُنِي، وَزِدْنِي عِلْمًا "O Allah, benefit me with what You have taught me, teach me what benefits me, and increase me in knowledge." Jāmiʿ at-Tirmidhī (3599) — Hasan 5. Seek Refuge from Knowledge That Does Not Benefit اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ لَا يَنْفَعُ "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from knowledge that does not benefit." Sahih Muslim (2722) — Sahih 6. Ask Allah to Make Things Easy اللَّهُمَّ لَا سَهْلَ إِلَّا مَا جَعَلْتَهُ سَهْلًا، وَأَنْتَ تَجْعَلُ الْحَزْنَ إِذَا شِئْتَ سَهْلًا "O Allah, nothing is easy except what You make easy, and You make difficulty easy if You will." Sahih Ibn Hibban (2427) — Sahih 7. Pray for Firmness & Mercy رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْوَهَّابُ "Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from Yourself. Indeed, You are the Bestower." Qur'an 3:8 8. Pray for Patience رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ "Our Lord, pour upon us patience, make our feet firm, and grant us victory over the disbelieving people." Qur'an 2:250 📌 Important Note: There is no authentic dua specifically for increasing memory reported from the Prophet ﷺ. Instead, the Sunnah teaches us to ask Allah for beneficial knowledge, understanding, wisdom, and barakah, which naturally strengthen learning and retention. I've also made a poster of these Du'as. Allah commands in surah al-Nur [24]: [قُل لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَغُضُّوا مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِمْ وَيَحْفَظُوا فُرُوجَهُمْ] Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and to guard their private parts. [30] In one of his writings, ibn Rajab wrote: [وسئل الجنيد بم يستعان على غض البصر ، قال بعلمك أن نظر الله إليك أسبق من نظرك إلى ما تنظره] Someone asked al-Junayd about what can help someone to lower their gaze. He replied, "Knowing that Allah is already looking at you before you looking at whatever you are looking at." [Jaami' al-'Uloom wa'l-Hikam 1/410]

⚠️ Beware of Innovations (Bidʿah) in ʿĀshūrāʾ Two misguided groups went astray on this day: One group imitated the Jews and made it a festival of joy, beautifying, wearing kohl, and cooking special dishes. Another group made it a day of mourning over the killing of al-Ḥusayn (may Allah be pleased with him), beating themselves, crying, and spreading false tales, thus combining ignorance, innovation, and division. But Ahl al-Sunnah remained firm, fasting as commanded by the Prophet ﷺ, avoiding innovation, and rejecting both excesses. Many acts are done by some ignorant people which have no evidence from the Qur'an and the Sunnah. These acts include: • Celebrating this day as a festival. • Slapping one's face. • Tearing one's clothes. • Using swords and blood-shedding. Indeed, none of these acts have any authentic relevance to ʿĀshūrāʾ. Rather, they are pure innovations and evil deeds. The enemies of Islam use them to misrepresent Islam. No acts of worship are authentically established for ʿĀshūrāʾ except fasting. There is no sound evidence for special night prayers, kohl, perfume, bathing, giving gifts, extra spending on the family, or any other special rituals connected to this day. All acts of worship are based on proof. So fast this day with sincerity, revive the Sunnah, and stay far from innovation. May Allah make us of those who preserve His sacred limits and follow His Messenger ﷺ in truth. ✨ MUHARRAM Arabic root: H-R-M (ح ر م) Meaning: forbidden, sacred, honored Jama': محرمات ، محارم ➤ Sacred Month • Allah says [Quran 9:36] Indeed, the number of months ordained by Allah is twelve—in Allah’s Record1 since the day He created the heavens and the earth—of which four are sacred. That is the Right Way. So do not wrong one another during these months. And fight the polytheists together as they fight together against you. And know that Allah is with those mindful ˹of Him˺. • Sahih al-Bukhari 4662, 3197 - Muharram is one of these four sacred months. Prohibition of fighting in Muharram: There is a great difference of opinion among the scholars about whether the prohibition of fighting in the sacred months was abrogated or not. Some said it was abrogated due to the command to fight the polytheists, while others said the prohibition remains unless one is attacked. [See Tafsīr Ibn Kathīr, 2/468] (Copied) Fasting in Muharram: • The Prophet ﷺ said: the most excellent fast after (fasting) in the month of Ramadan is the fast in God's month al-Muharram. [Sahih Muslim 1163 b] Prophet ﷺ called it: شَهْرِ اللَّهِ الْمُحَرَّمِ ‏ The month of Allah- Muharram This shows its great status and how honored this month is. Note: Muharram and Shahadat of Hazrat Husayn رضي الله عنه Yes. The Shahadat of Husayn رضي الله عنه occurred in this month but Muharram is not legislated as a month of mourning. Fabricated hadiths and misconceptions which lead to bid'ah Some fabricated hadiths and acts of worship done by Ahlul Bid'ah for this specific month without any evidence are: • Believing Muharram is unlucky and cursed month. Nauzubillah. • Avoiding marriage or buying new clothes • Believing some normal activities as Haram • Visiting graves and specifying grave related rituals for this specific month and specific day (bid'ah) • Not wearing new clothes • Feeding people on the 10th of Muharram (Feeding people is good but specifying it to Ashura for specific reward is bid'ah) • "Whoever fasts on the first 10 days of Muharram, he will inherit the Jannah al-Firdaus" (Mawdu' or Da'if hadith) Fasting on Muharram is a highly recommended act of worship and one should fast as much as possible in this month but connecting it to a specific reward? There's no sahih Hadith related to this. • Specifying certain duas for the 1st of Muharram (mawdu' hadith and bid'ah) And many more... What should we do? • Fast as much as possible in Muharram (Muslim 1163 b) • Fast on 'Ashura as it expiate the sins of the previous year (Muslim 1162 b) • It is recommended to fast on: 9th and 10th (best) or 10th and 11th or 10th of Muharram I will post about Ashura soon.
