📖 It Is Permissible to Recite the Qur’an Quickly to Gain Reward — Even Without Reflection (Tadabbur) Imām ʿAlam al-Dīn al-Sakhāwī said: “The Noble Qur’an is recited for [different purposes]. It is recited for learning; in this case, one should focus on smaller portions and repeat [to memorise]. It is also recited for reflection and contemplation; in this case, one should recite with a slow and measured recitation (tartīl) and pause [to ponder the meanings]. It is also recited to attain reward through abundant recitation; in this case, one may recite as much as possible, and he is not blameworthy if he chooses to recite quickly.” Then al-Sakhāwī mentioned the practice of the Salaf of frequently completing the Qur’an, especially during seasons of goodness such as Ramaḍān. 📚 Jamāl al-Qurrāʾ, p. 665

They Taught you How to Worry! There was a time when you didn't worry about rizq at all. No job, no money, no plan - and yet you were fed, sheltered, and sustained without lifting a finger. That time was before you were even born. Makḥūl reminds us of something we've simply forgotten: the same Allah who provided for you in your mother's womb, when you couldn't ask for anything, is still providing for you now. The only thing that's changed is that you learned how to worry. https://x.com/salahiranee/status/2068738568290254868 https://www.linktr.ee/SalafiPosts A Reminder Benefits the Believers.

Your smile is being recorded In an age where many enjoy using the smiling emoji to mock their brothers and sisters, you should understand your smile is being recorded. Ibn Abī al-Dunyā, narrated in, The Condemnation of Backbiting, and Ibn Abī Ḥātim narrated from Ibn Abbās regarding the statement of Allah: مَالِ هَـٰذَا ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ لَا يُغَادِرُ صَغِيرَةًۭ وَلَا كَبِيرَةً إِلَّآ أَحْصَىٰهَا “What is with this Book?! It leaves neither a minor sin nor a major sin except that it has recorded it.” (Sura al-Kahf 18:49) Ibn Abbās said: “The minor sin is smiling when a believer is mocked, and the major sin is laughing aloud at them.” Translated by Rasheed Barbee https://x.com/mtwsnc/status/2074578662221820322 https://www.linktr.ee/SalafiPosts A Reminder Benefits the Believers.

📢 #SupremeCourt Announcement The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia has declared that Today, Tuesday June 16th, 2026, is the 1st of Muharram, 1448 AH. Official Announcement: #المحكمة_العليا: يوم غدٍ الثلاثاء الموافق 16 يونيو 2026م هو غُرّة شهر محرم لعام 1448هـ. spa.gov.sa/N2613175 #واس https://x.com/sparegions/status/2066561844378997216 In the name of Allah, the most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy 𝒜𝓈𝒶𝓁𝒶𝒶𝓂𝓊-‘𝒶𝓁𝒶𝒾𝓀𝓊𝓂 𝓌𝒶 𝓇𝒶𝒽𝓂𝓊𝓉 𝓊𝓁𝓁𝒶𝒽𝒾 𝓌𝒶 𝒷𝒶𝓇𝒶𝓀𝒶𝓉𝓊𝒽𝓊 🕋 Virtue of Muharram Muharram is the first month of the Islamic lunar calendar and one of the four sacred months in Islam. It is known as the Month of Allah (Shahrullah). Allah says: إِنَّ عِدَّةَ الشُّهُورِ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًۭا فِى كِتَـٰبِ ٱللَّهِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ مِنْهَآ أَرْبَعَةٌ حُرُمٌۭ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلدِّينُ ٱلْقَيِّمُ ۚ فَلَا تَظْلِمُوا۟ فِيهِنَّ أَنفُسَكُمْ ۚ “Indeed, the number of months with Allah is twelve [lunar] months in the register of Allah from the day He created the heavens and the earth; of these, four are sacred. That is the correct religion, so do not wrong yourselves during them…” (Surah At-Tawbah 9:36) 🕋 Virtue of Fasting in Muharram The Prophet ﷺ said: “The best fasting after the month of Ramadan is in the month of Allah, Muharram.” (Sahih Muslim 1163) Muharram is especially known for the reward of voluntary fasting, so it is highly recommended to increase in voluntary fasting during this month. 🌙 Fasting on the Day of Ashura – 10th Muharram The Prophet ﷺ said: “Fasting the day of Ashura expiates the sins of the past year.” (Sahih Muslim 1162) 📜 Why Ashura is Special When the Prophet ﷺ arrived in Madinah, he found the Jews fasting on the 10th of Muharram. They said: “This is the day Allah saved Musa (Moses) and the Children of Israel from Pharaoh.” The Prophet ﷺ responded: “We are more entitled to Musa than they are,” and he fasted on that day and encouraged the Muslims to fast. (Sahih al-Bukhari 2004, Sahih Muslim 1130) 📅 Key Dates • 1st Day of Muharram: Tuesday, 16th June 2026 • 9th Muharram — Day Before Ashura (Tasua): Wednesday, 24th June 2026 • Day of Ashura (10th Muharram): Thursday, 25th June 2026 • 11th Muharram — Day After Ashura: Friday, 26th June 2026 ✅ Ways to Fast During Ashura 1. Fasting the 9th & 10th or the 10th & 11th Fasting the 9th & 10th. This is what the Prophet ﷺ intended when he said: “If I live till next year, I will certainly fast the 9th [along with the 10th].” (Muslim 1134) In Another Narration: “Fast a day before it or a day after it.” (Reported by Al-Haithami in Majma’ az-Zawaa’id, no. 4315) This scholars have explained that fasting the 9th or 11th alongside the 10th (the Day of Ashura) distinguishes from the Jewish practice of fasting only the 10th. 2. Permissible: Fasting Ashura (10th) alone. 3. Recommended by Some Scholars: Fasting all three days — 9th, 10th, and 11th Muharram. Imām Ibn al-Qayyim* (رحمه الله) said in Zād al-Maʿād that the fasting of ʿĀshūrāʾ can be observed in three ways: 1. The most complete way is to fast three days: the 9th, 10th, and 11th of Muharram — before, on, and after the day of ʿĀshūrāʾ. 2. One may also fast two days — the 10th along with either the 9th or the 11th. 3. It is also valid to fast only the 10th, which is the day of ʿĀshūrāʾ. May Allah grant us a year filled with His barakah, guidance, forgiveness, and steadfastness upon His obedience. Aameen. https://www.linktr.ee/SalafiPosts A Reminder Benefits the Believers.
What Is Better: Memorising the Qur’an or Reading it and Reflecting Over It? — Shaykh Sulaymān al-Ruḥaylī (ḥafiẓahullāh) https://www.linktr.ee/SalafiPosts A Reminder Benefits the Believers.
Reciting the Qur’an Directly from the Mushaf is Better than Reciting from Memory Shaykh 'Abdulaziz ibn Rayyis al-Rayyis حفظه الله
And He Placed Between You Affection and Mercy Allah says: {وجعل بينكم مودة ورحمة} “And He placed between you affection and mercy.” (Qur’an 30:21) Ibn ’Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) said: “Affection (mawaddah) is a man’s love for his wife, and mercy (rahmah) is his compassion towards her, such that he does not wish any harm to befall her.” 📚Tafsir al-Qurtubi, vol. 14, p. 17. https://www.linktr.ee/SalafiPosts A Reminder Benefits the Believers.
By Allah, I challenge any Muslim to sit for five minutes, open the Qur’an and read just one page, and then I ask him to count the good deeds he has earned from that page! A great excerpt from Sheikh Prof. Dr. Hasan Bukharī حفظه الله
Read This Verse, Then Supplicate for Whatever You Wish Saʿīd ibn Jubayr رحمه الله said: “Indeed, I know of a verse that no one has ever recited and then asked Allah for something except that He granted it to him.” Allah, Most High, says: ﴿قُلِ ٱللَّهُمَّ فَاطِرَ ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ عَالِمَ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَادَةِ أَنتَ تَحْكُمُ بَيْنَ عِبَادِكَ فِي مَا كَانُوا فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ﴾ “Say: O Allah, Originator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen, You will judge between Your servants concerning that over which they used to differ.” (Qur’an 39:46) The Prophet ﷺ, when he would rise for the night prayer, would begin his prayer by saying: Allāhumma Rabba Jibrīla wa Mīkāʾīla wa Isrāfīla, Fāṭira as-samāwāti wal-arḍ, ʿĀlima al-ghaybi wash-shahādah, Anta taḥkumu bayna ʿibādika fīmā kānū fīhi yakhtalifūn. Ihdinī limā ukhtulifa fīhi mina al-ḥaqqi bi-idhnik, innaka tahdī man tashāʾu ilā ṣirāṭin mustaqīm. “O Allah, Lord of Jibrīl, Mīkāʾīl, and; Originator of the heavens and the earth; Knower of the unseen and the seen: You judge between Your servants concerning that over which they differ. Guide me, by Your permission, to the truth regarding that over which people differ. Indeed, You guide whom You will to a straight path.” 📚Tafsīr al-Qurṭubī; and the supplication is authentically reported from the Prophet ﷺ in Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim. https://www.linktr.ee/SalafiPosts A Reminder Benefits the Believers.
The Complete and Correct Meaning of “Lā Ilāha Illā Allāh” Shaykh Abd al-Rahman ibn Hasan (rahimahullah) said: “The meaning of Lā ilāha illā Allāh is: ‘There is no deity truly worthy of worship except Allah.’” Allah, Most High, said: “That is because Allah is the Truth, and what they invoke besides Him is falsehood, and because Allah is the Most High, the Most Great.” (Qur’an 22:62) 📚 Al-Durar al-Saniyyah, 9/249. https://www.linktr.ee/SalafiPosts A Reminder Benefits the Believers.
