🌒 SOLAR ECLIPSE TOMORROW — ECLIPSE TIMINGS, AND A REMINDER FOR THE MUSLIMS In the name of Allah. All praise is due to Allah, and may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. Tomorrow, Wednesday 12th August 2026, a significant partial solar eclipse will be visible across the UK and much of Europe. For London and surrounding areas, the partial solar eclipse is expected to be visible tomorrow evening, at the following times in shāʾ Allāh: 🌒 Eclipse begins: approximately 6:17 pm 🌑 Maximum eclipse: approximately 7:13 pm — around 91% of the Sun will be obscured 🌒 Eclipse ends: approximately 8:06 pm Therefore, the time for Ṣalāt al-Kusūf in these regions will be from approximately 6:17 pm until 8:06 pm, in shāʾ Allāh. 🌒 Eclipses Are Signs From Allah The Prophet ﷺ said: “The sun and the moon are two signs from the signs of Allah. They are not eclipsed because of the death or birth of anyone. When you see that, call upon Allah and pray until it is over.” [Al-Bukhārī & Muslim] Therefore an eclipse is not merely an astronomical event for the Muslim. It is a sign and reminder from Allah, through which His servants are reminded to fear Him, return to Him and remember His greatness. 🕌 Ṣalāt al-Kusūf — The Eclipse Prayer Ṣalāt al-Kusūf is a confirmed Sunnah. When an eclipse occurs, Muslims should hasten to prayer, duʿāʾ, remembrance of Allah, seeking His forgiveness, giving charity and other righteous deeds. It is Sunnah to pray it in congregation, as the Prophet ﷺ did, although it is also permissible to pray it individually. 📖 HOW TO PERFORM ṢALĀT AL-KUSŪF Ṣalāt al-Kusūf consists of two rakʿahs. However, unlike an ordinary two-rakʿah prayer, each rakʿah contains two Qurʾān recitations and two rukūʿs (bowings). FIRST RAKʿAH: Begin the prayer with the takbīr — Allāhu Akbar. Recite Sūrat al-Fātiḥah, followed by a long recitation from the Qurʾān. Say Allāhu Akbar and perform a long rukūʿ. Rise from rukūʿ, saying: سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ، رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ Samīʿa-Allāhu liman ḥamidah, Rabbanā wa laka al-ḥamd. While still standing, recite Sūrat al-Fātiḥah again, followed by another long Qurʾān recitation, but shorter than the first. Say *Allāhu Akbar and perform a second long rukūʿ, shorter than the first rukūʿ. Rise again, saying: سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ، رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ Samīʿa-Allāhu liman ḥamidah, Rabbanā wa laka al-ḥamd. Then perform two lengthy sujūd (prostrations) in the normal manner. SECOND RAKʿAH: Stand for the second rakʿah and recite Sūrat al-Fātiḥah followed by a long Qurʾān recitation, but shorter than the recitations of the first rakʿah. Perform a long rukūʿ. Rise from rukūʿ and say: سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ، رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ Samīʿa-Allāhu liman ḥamidah, Rabbanā wa laka al-ḥamd. While standing, recite Sūrat al-Fātiḥah again, followed by another Qurʾān recitation, shorter than the previous one. Perform a second rukūʿ, shorter than the first rukūʿ of this rakʿah. Rise from rukūʿ and then perform two lengthy sujūd. Sit and recite the tashahhud, then finish the prayer with the salām. Therefore, across the whole prayer there are: 2 rakʿahs • 4 recitations of al-Fātiḥah • 4 rukūʿs • 4 sujūd The Qurʾān is recited aloud in the solar eclipse prayer according to the stronger scholarly opinion. This is the manner in which the eclipse prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has been authentically described in the ḥadīth of ʿĀʾishah رضي الله عنها. [Al-Bukhārī & Muslim] ⏰ WHEN SHOULD IT BE PRAYED? The time for Ṣalāt al-Kusūf begins when the eclipse begins and continues until the eclipse ends. The Prophet ﷺ said: “If you see anything of that, then pray until it is over.” [Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim] If the prayer finishes while the eclipse is still occurring, one should continue with duʿāʾ, dhikr and seeking Allah’s forgiveness until it ends. The prayer itself does not need to be repeated.

The Sunnah Was Preserved by the Same People Who Brought Us the Qur’an All praise and thanks belong to Allah. The authentic Sunnah and ahādīth were preserved & transmitted by the same trustworthy generations who transmitted the Qur’an. ʿAbbād ibn al-ʿAwwām (d. 185 After the Year of the Hijrah) رحمه الله said: “About fifty years ago, Shurayk ibn ʿAbdullāh al-Nakhaʿī, the judge, came to us. I said to him: ‘O Abū ʿAbdullāh, we have some people among us from the Muʿtazilah who reject these narrations.’ So he narrated to me around ten hadiths concerning this matter, then said: ‘As for us, we took our religion from the Tābiʿīn (the generation who learned directly from the Companions), who took it from the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. So from whom did they take it from?’ In another wording, he said: “Indeed, those who brought these hadiths are the very same people who brought us the Qur’an, informed us that the prayers are five, taught us the pilgrimage to the House, and the fasting of Ramaḍān. We do not know Allah except through these hadiths.” These narrations remind us that the Qur’an and the Sunnah reached us through the same trustworthy generations that brought us the Qur’an. The Companions conveyed both the Book of Allah and the explanation of His Messenger ﷺ, and the Tābiʿīn faithfully preserved and transmitted that knowledge. Therefore it refutes those who reject the authentic Sunnah and Ahadeeth, while claiming they follow only the Qur’an. They are in reality from a sect called the Qur’aniyyoon—meaning they claim to follow only the Qur’an and they reject the authentic Sunnah and Ahadeeth. What such people fail to realise is that the very people who brought the Qur’an to this Ummah are the same people who brought the Sunnah. Through it they informed us of the five daily prayers, taught us how to perform them, conveyed the details of Zakāh, how to make wudhu, the rites of Ḥajj, the fast of Ramaḍān, and countless other aspects of Islam. All these details are not mentioned in the Qur’an alone. Therefore rejecting the authentic Ahadeeth and the Sunnah is a rejection of the divinely preserved explanation of the Qur’an, and therefore can never be a defence of the Qur’an. However Ahl al-Sunnah (the People of Sunnah) take their religion from the Qur’an and the authentic Sunnah upon the understanding of the Companions and those who followed them in righteousness—not from desires, speculation, or newly introduced methodologies. So by the Lord of the Kaʿbah, this is the true religion. So reflect and take heed, O people of understanding! Protect Yourself from the Fire Even with Half of a Date Fruit Given in Charity All praise and thanks belong to Allah. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Protect yourself from the Fire, even by giving half a date in charity.” 📚 Sahih al-Bukhari (1417); Sahih Muslim (1016) Reflect on this Dear Muslims: • If half a date can be a means of protection, then how about a whole date? • How about a handful? • And how about a whole box of dates given sincerely for the sake of Allah? Therefore don’t delay acting upon this hadeeth—buy a box, give some to your family members, share some with your neighbours, and leave some in the masjid for others. The Believer Falls Into Mistakes — But Always Returns to Allah The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “No believing servant is without a sin which he commits from time to time, or a sin that he continues to struggle with until he leaves this world. When the Qur’an Becomes Dearer Than Voluntary Fasting ʿAbdullāh ibn Masʿūd (رضي الله عنه) said: “When I fast, I become weaker in reciting the Qur’an. Therefore, reciting the Qur’an is more beloved to me than fasting.” Reference: Al-Muṣannaf of ʿAbd al-Razzāq (7903) and others. Reflection: This shows how much Ibn Masʿūd (رضي الله عنه) loved the Qur’an. The Strength of the Īmān of the Ṣaḥābah: 12,000 Daily Istighfārs Abū Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) said: “Indeed, I seek Allah’s forgiveness and repent to Him twelve thousand times every day.” إني لأستغفر الله وأتوب إليه كل يوم اثنتي عشر ألف مرة Reference: Ḥilyat al-Awliyāʾ wa Ṭabaqāt al-Aṣfiyāʾ by Imām Abū Nuʿaym al-Iṣfahānī (d. 430 AH), vol. 1, p. 458. Grade: Hasan (Good). Reflection: This report shows how devoted Abū Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) was to seeking Allah’s forgiveness. Reaching 12,000 istighfārs would likely have meant spending several hours each day in remembrance of Allah. 🌙 Reminder: Fasting this Thursday ~ The Day of Ashura 1448H | And Some Practical Advice on Fasting During the Intense Summer Heat In sha Allah In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy… This Thursday, 25th June 2026, is the Day of Ashura (10th Muharram 1448). The Prophet ﷺ said about fasting on this day: “I hope from Allah that it expiates the sins of the previous year.” Ashura is a blessed day. It is the day on which Allah saved Prophet Musa (ʿalayhis-salām) and his people from Pharaoh. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was very keen to fast on this day and encouraged his Ummah to fast it as well. Although the days are long and the weather is hot, remember that many of the early Muslims would bear intense thirst while fasting, hoping for Allah’s reward on the Day of Resurrection. No hardship endured for Allah’s sake is lost with Him. And for those concerned about the heat, here are a few reminders and practical tips to encourage you and make your day a little easier to fast by the permission of Allah: • Make your intention to fast before Fajr. This is a must. • Don’t miss Suhoor. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Take Suhoor, for indeed there is blessing (barakah) in Suhoor.” — Some scholars have mentioned taking the Suhoor (pre-dawn meal) will provide you with strength for your fast, even if just a few sips of water. • Stay out of direct sunlight as much as possible. • Stay in the shade or indoors during the hottest parts of the day if you are able too. • Make use of fans, air conditioning, and other cooling methods where available. • It is permissible for a fasting person to cool themselves by pouring water over the head or body while fasting. • Many schools, workplaces, and institutions are making allowances during periods of extreme heat. Where appropriate, make use of these concessions to help preserve your strength and complete your fast. Allah says: ‎إِنَّ عِدَّةَ الشُّهُورِ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًۭا فِى كِتَـٰبِ ٱللَّهِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ مِنْهَآ أَرْبَعَةٌ حُرُمٌۭ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلدِّينُ ٱلْقَيِّمُ ۚ فَلَا تَظْلِمُوا۟ فِيهِنَّ أَنفُسَكُمْ ۚ “Indeed, the number of months with Allah is twelve [lunar] months in the register of Allah from the day He created the heavens and the earth; of these, four are sacred. That is the correct religion, so do not wrong yourselves during them…” (Surah At-Tawbah 9:36) 🕋 Virtue of Fasting in Muharram The Prophet ﷺ said: “The best fasting after the month of Ramadan is in the month of Allah, Muharram.” (Sahih Muslim 1163) Muharram is especially known for the reward of voluntary fasting, so it is highly recommended to increase in voluntary fasting during this month. 🌙 Fasting on the Day of Ashura – 10th Muharram The Prophet ﷺ said: “Fasting the day of Ashura expiates the sins of the past year.” (Sahih Muslim 1162) 📜 Why Ashura is Special When the Prophet ﷺ arrived in Madinah, he found the Jews fasting on the 10th of Muharram. They said: “This is the day Allah saved Musa (Moses) and the Children of Israel from Pharaoh.” The Prophet ﷺ responded: “We are more entitled to Musa than they are,” and he fasted on that day and encouraged the Muslims to fast. (Sahih al-Bukhari 2004, Sahih Muslim 1130) 📅 Key Dates • 1st Day of Muharram: Tuesday, 16th June 2026 • 9th Muharram — Day Before Ashura (Tasua): Wednesday, 24th June 2026 • Day of Ashura (10th Muharram): Thursday, 25th June 2026 • 11th Muharram — Day After Ashura: Friday, 26th June 2026 ✅ Ways to Fast During Ashura 1. Fasting the 9th & 10th or the 10th & 11th Fasting the 9th & 10th. This is what the Prophet ﷺ intended when he said: “If I live till next year, I will certainly fast the 9th [along with the 10th].” (Muslim 1134) In Another Narration: “Fast a day before it or a day after it.” (Reported by Al-Haithami in Majma’ az-Zawaa’id, no. 4315) This scholars have explained that fasting the 9th or 11th alongside the 10th (the Day of Ashura) distinguishes from the Jewish practice of fasting only the 10th. 2. Permissible: Fasting Ashura (10th) alone. 3. Recommended by Some Scholars: Fasting all three days — 9th, 10th, and 11th Muharram. Imām Ibn al-Qayyim* (رحمه الله) said in Zād al-Maʿād that the fasting of ʿĀshūrāʾ can be observed in three ways: 1. The most complete way is to fast three days: the 9th, 10th, and 11th of Muharram — before, on, and after the day of ʿĀshūrāʾ. 2. One may also fast two days — the 10th along with either the 9th or the 11th. 3. It is also valid to fast only the 10th, which is the day of ʿĀshūrāʾ. Eating with the Right Hand Is Obligatory In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy… Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Salih Al-ʿUthaymīn (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “Eating with the right hand is obligatory. Whoever eats with his left hand is sinful and disobedient to the Messenger ﷺ. And whoever disobeys the Messenger ﷺ has disobeyed Allah, and whoever obeys the Messenger ﷺ has obeyed Allah.” 📖 Sharḥ Riyāḍ al-Ṣāliḥīn, Vol. 4, p. 189. Benefits: Among the evidences for this ruling are: The Prophet ﷺ said: “None of you should eat with his left hand or drink with his left hand, for Shayṭān eats with his left hand and drinks with his left hand.” — Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim (2020) Allah says: “And do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy.” — Qur’an 2:168 However, Islam is a religion of ease. Therefore, this ruling applies to those who are able to eat and drink with their right hand. The scholars have stated that a person is excused if they have a genuine reason, such as: • Having only one hand or one usable arm. • An injury, illness, or disability affecting the right hand. • Situations where both hands are needed to support food or drink. • Any other case of genuine need or inability. Among the evidences for this are the statements of Allah: “Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship.” — Qur’an 2:185 And: “So fear Allah as much as you are able.” — Qur’an 64:16 Thus, a Muslim should strive to follow the Sunnah and eat with the right hand whenever possible, while remembering that Allah has granted concessions for those who are genuinely unable to do so. Read This Verse, Then Supplicate for Whatever You Wish Saʿīd ibn Jubayr رحمه الله said: “Indeed, I know of a verse that no one has ever recited and then asked Allah for something except that He granted it to him.” Allah, Most High, says: ﴿قُلِ ٱللَّهُمَّ فَاطِرَ ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ عَالِمَ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَادَةِ أَنتَ تَحْكُمُ بَيْنَ عِبَادِكَ فِي مَا كَانُوا فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ﴾ “Say: O Allah, Originator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen, You will judge between Your servants concerning that over which they used to differ.” (Qur’an 39:46) The Prophet ﷺ, when he would rise for the night prayer, would begin his prayer by saying: اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ جِبْرِيلَ وَمِيكَائِيلَ وَإِسْرَافِيلَ، فَاطِرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ، عَالِمَ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ، أَنْتَ تَحْكُمُ بَيْنَ عِبَادِكَ فِيمَا كَانُوا فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ، اهْدِنِي لِمَا اخْتُلِفَ فِيهِ مِنَ الْحَقِّ بِإِذْنِكَ، إِنَّكَ تَهْدِي مَنْ تَشَاءُ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ. Allāhumma Rabba Jibrīla wa Mīkāʾīla wa Isrāfīla, Fāṭira as-samāwāti wal-arḍ, ʿĀlima al-ghaybi wash-shahādah, Anta taḥkumu bayna ʿibādika fīmā kānū fīhi yakhtalifūn. Ihdinī limā ukhtulifa fīhi mina al-ḥaqqi bi-idhnik, innaka tahdī man tashāʾu ilā ṣirāṭin mustaqīm. “O Allah, Lord of Jibrīl, Mīkāʾīl, and; Originator of the heavens and the earth; Knower of the unseen and the seen: You judge between Your servants concerning that over which they differ. Guide me, by Your permission, to the truth regarding that over which people differ. The Complete and Correct Meaning of “Lā Ilāha Illā Allāh” Shaykh Abd al-Rahman ibn Hasan (rahimahullah) said: “The meaning of Lā ilāha illā Allāh is: ‘There is no deity truly worthy of worship except Allah.’” Allah, Most High, said: “That is because Allah is the Truth, and what they invoke besides Him is falsehood, and because Allah is the Most High, the Most Great.” (Qur’an 22:62) 📚 Al-Durar al-Saniyyah, 9/249. https://www.linktr.ee/SalafiPosts A Reminder Benefits the Believers.

Daily Tawḥīd Dhikr: Lā ilāha illā Allāh al-Malik al-Ḥaqq al-Mubīn (With Virtues & Conditions) 🌿 It is narrated from ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib (رضي الله عنه), attributed to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, that he said: “Whoever says every day and night: لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ الْمَلِكُ الْحَقُّ الْمُبِينُ (Lā ilāha illā Allāh, al-Malik al-Ḥaqq al-Mubīn) [There is none worthy of worship but Allah, the True King, the Manifest] one hundred times — he will have safety from poverty, comfort from the loneliness of the grave, and it will open for him the door of richness and the gate of Paradise.” 📚 Reported by Abū Nuʿaym, al-Daylamī, al-Khaṭīb, and mentioned by ʿAbd al-Ḥaqq al-Ishbīlī in al-Ṭibb al-Nabawī. 📝 Alhamdulillah this narration is actually weak (ضعيف) as graded by many scholars of ḥadīth, however the words themselves are blessed and carry tremendous weight. Therefore some scholars permitted acting upon weak narrations which mention virtuous deeds when hoping for the reward, but without believing with certainty that it is authentically established from the Prophet ﷺ. Giving Charity upon Completing the Hajj! The Conclusion of These Blessed Days Alhamdulillah. Today, Saturday, 30th May 2026, is the 13th Dhul-Hijjah 1447, and with the sunset of this day, we conclude the season of goodness and worship for this year. So today is: • The last of the Days of Tashreeq. • The last day for offering the sacrificial animal (Udhiyah). • The last day of both the unrestricted and restricted Takbeer. Then we welcome the seasons of goodness in the new (Islamic) year inshallah. Therefore, a Muslim is always moving from one season of goodness to another. We ask Allah to accept our deeds, keep us steadfast in our obedience to Him, and grant us righteousness in our words, deeds, and intentions. Aameen. Seize the Final Moments of Maximising Worship in the Last Hour of Dhul Hijjah. Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh Praise be to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family, his companions, and those who follow him. As for what follows: The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said, "Indeed, deeds are judged by their endings" (narrated by Bukhari). My dear brothers and sisters in faith, we are now in the final hour of the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah, which are blessed days where rewards are multiplied, and blessings are abundant. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "There are no days during which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these days," referring to the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah (narrated by Bukhari). Allah says, "By the dawn, and by the ten nights" (Al-Fajr: 1-2). Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) explained that these ten nights refer to the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah. Furthermore the scholars have also explained that Allah only swears by something great, so this no doubt shows us the significance of these days. Therefore we should seize these blessed moments by increasing our acts of worship, such as seeking forgiveness, dhikr, remembrance of Allah, recitation of the Quran, supplication, and charity. Let us use these last hours to draw closer to Allah, repent, and seek forgiveness, for these might be the good deeds that Allah accepts from us and raises our ranks. We ask Allah to accept our good deeds and yours, and to make us among those who are accepted and forgiven. Celebration and Reflection: These days give us a special opportunity to enjoy the meat from our sacrifices offered during Eid al-Adha, to spend time with friends and family, and show generosity and kindness to others. It is a time to strengthen our faith through acts of worship, showing gratitude to Allah for His favours, keeping of the family ties, and building brotherhood and sisterhood. May Allah accept our deeds, forgive our sins, and grant us the strength to continuously remember Him in all circumstances. Aameen. 🌟 The Days of Tashreeq are Days for Eating, Drinking, and Remembering Allah 🌟 ‎Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh The Days of Tashreeq are the three days following Eid al-Adha (the 11th, 12th, and 13th of Dhul-Hijjah). These are special days in Islam which are dedicated to the remembrance of Allah, as well as enjoying the blessings of food and drink. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "The days of Tashreeq are days of eating, drinking, and remembering Allah." (Sahih Muslim, Hadith 1141) Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) said in His Book: ‎وَاذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ فِي أَيَّامٍ مَعْدُودَاتٍ "And remember Allah during the appointed days." [Surah Al-Baqarah, 203] Imam al-Qurtubi (may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned in his Tafsir (explantion) of this verse: "The appointed days refer to the days of Tashreeq, which are the three days after the Day of Sacrifice (the day of Eid). The scholars are in agreement about this." Fasting During the Days of Tashreeq: It is not allowed to fast during the days of Tashreeq expect for an obligatory fast. It was narrated by Ibn Umar and Aisha (may Allah be pleased with them): "It was not permitted to fast during the days of Tashreeq except for those (pilgrims on Hajj) who could not find a sacrificial animal." (Sahih al-Bukhari, Book of Fasting (Kitab as-Siyam), Hadith 1997) So the exception is for the pilgrim on Hajj who cannot find a sacrificial animal. Some scholars also held that the missed days of Ramadan can also be fasted, using this narration as an analogy. It was also mentioned other obligatory fasts, such as expiations are included too. However in order to avoid an area of scholarly differing, it would be better to partake in and enjoy the blessings of food and drink with one’s family and the Muslims, since these days are for eating and drinking and are an extension of eid. It was narrated from Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Indeed, the Day of Arafah, the Day of Sacrifice, and the Days of Tashreeq are our Eid (festivals), we the people of Islam, and they are days of eating and drinking." (Sunan an-Nasa'i, Hadith 3004, Classified as Hasan) Gratitude and a Great Reward: The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) also taught that the one who eats and is grateful has a similar reward to the one who fasts and is patient. Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: "The one who eats and is grateful is like the status of the one who fasts and is patient." (Jami` at-Tirmidhi, Hadith 2486, Classified as Hasan Gharīb). Remembrance of Allah: It is highly recommended to recite Takbeer ("Allahu Akbar") after every obligatory prayer from Fajr on the 9th day of Dhul-Hijjah (the day of Arafah) until Asr on the 13th day of Dhul-Hijjah (the last day of Tashreeq). This practice is among the legislated acts during these days and reminds us of the greatness of Allah and His Oneness. The takbeer is said both restrictedly (after the obligatory prayer) and unrestrictedly (at all other times). Shaykh Abdul Azeez Ibn Baz (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Takbeer is prescribed both unrestrictedly and restrictedly during these days. The companions practiced both forms, which is evident in the Quranic verse: "And remember Allah during the appointed days" [Al-Baqarah: 203]. And the saying of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ): "The days of Tashreeq are days of eating, drinking, and remembering Allah." (Majmu' Fatawa wa Maqalat al-Sheikh Ibn Baz 26/89) Mode of Takbeer: The mode of the takbeer can be recited with the first takbeer said twice or three times, and it is verified from Ibn Mas‘ud (may Allah be pleased with him) and others from the Salaf (early generations of Islam).
