Junior Quantity Surveyor (Junior QS) – Job Description Female / Male 5 Post Job Responsibilities Assist in preparing BOQ, quantity take-off and cost estimates for construction projects. Take measurements from drawings and site works and calculate quantities for different work items. Assist Senior QS / QS Manager in preparing client quotations and subcontractor quotations. Assist in preparing tender documents, tender comparison and cost breakdowns. Monitor and record material quantities, usage and costs. Conduct site visits to check and verify actual work progress and measurements. Assist in preparing progress claims, payment certificates and invoices. Assist in checking and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotations. Assist in preparing and tracking Variation Orders (VO). Maintain proper records of contracts, measurements, quotations, invoices and payment documents. Coordinate with Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Design Team, Suppliers and Subcontractors. Assist the Senior QS / QS Manager with cost control and project commercial matters. Prepare regular cost and progress reports as required. Ensure all measurements and cost calculations are accurate and properly documented. Job Requirements Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field. 0–2 years of relevant experience; fresh graduates may also be considered. Basic knowledge of BOQ, Quantity Take-off, Measurement and Cost Estimation. Basic understanding of construction drawings and specifications. Good Microsoft Excel skills; AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage. Willing to conduct site visits when required. Good communication, teamwork and coordination skills. Careful with numbers and able to work accurately under deadlines.
