Both these guys were on C-Wing in Armley at the same time as me, I had no idea what they were in for. When making friends with someone the first question is always "what are you in for" to avoid any contact with people like this. I only spoke briefly with them in my capacity as the stores manager, they were liked and well-respected by the Muslim contingent on the wing, even getting the prestigious role of handing out the Ramadan meals. Equivalent offenders among Whites were beaten, food spat in, and would be chased onto the 'vulnerable prisoners' wing. For those that read my book; the nonce on the right was the one who attempted to attack someone in the shower, and ended up on his back, getting punched, with his would-be victim's balls in his face. Karma.

Speaking to this Indian woman across the road from the house I'm working in. I'd noticed they appeared to have 3 generations in 3 houses next to each other. I was interested in how it'd happened? Bulk of three or over a course of years etc. Anyway, she expressed concern that Leeds City Council were changing the rules for the area by not allowing anymore HMO permits for students in the hopes of having more permanent residents and push the transitory students into the new high-rise blocks in the city centre. Apparently the new plan from landlords is to still treat the properties as multiple occupancy but do it all under the table. A single renter on the books, but that rent is compiled from the 4-9 different occupants. If asked, all the occupants will just be 'family members living together'. The woman was worried that without any official records of occupants the area would be further blighted with rubbish and vandalism than it already is, and, of course, these occupants would now be migrant workers doing Deliveroo, rather than pleasant middle-class White students.
