- 16 июл.Coal Exchange Platform It is an online platform where buyers and sellers of coal and its processed forms can transact, trade and enter into delivery-based coal contracts as approved by the Authority. It enables transparent market-based price discovery, assured quality through the Authority-approved coal sampling agencies. The setting up of Coal Exchanges has been made possible through the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Amendment Act, 2025, which introduced the concept of Mineral Exchanges. In pursuance of this reform, the Ministry of Coal has notified the Coal Exchange Rules, 2026, providing the regulatory framework for establishing and operating Coal Exchanges. The Coal Controller Organisation (CCO) has been designated as the regulatory authority responsible for registering and overseeing Coal Exchanges. Eligible entities will be authorised to establish and operate exchanges, formulate market rules and facilitate coal trading with the prior approval of the Authority. Unlike conventional diesel locomotives that burn fuel to generate mechanical power , a hydrogen train carries a small power plant onboard in the form of a Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cell. Hydrogen stored in the train's cylinders combines with oxygen from the surrounding air inside the fuel cell, producing electricity that powers the traction motors and turns the wheels. The only direct by-products of this electrochemical reaction are water vapour and heat. There is no combustion, no smoke and no tailpipe carbon emissions. The Hydrogen train consists of two Hydrogen Driving Power Cars (DPCs) and eight Trailer Coaches (TCs). Each DPC houses fuel cells, lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries and hydrogen storage cylinders that work together to provide traction power while ensuring reliable operation under varying operating conditions.0,61%
- 16 июл.India's First Hydrogen Fuel Cell Train Indian Railways is set to flag off India's first Hydrogen Fuel Cell Trainset, a train that generates its own electricity onboard using hydrogen, the cleanest fuel known. Train will initially operate on the Jind–Sonipat section of Northern Railway connecting Jind Junction, Gohana Junction and Sonipat while serving intermediate stations . Trainset has been developed under the leadership of Indian Railways with Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO) formulating the technical specifications. The trainset has been integrated by M/s Medha Servo Drives, while Integral Coach Factory (ICF) contributed to the train’s theme and exterior design. Indian Railways has established India's largest railway hydrogen refuelling facility for this purpose at Jind in Haryana.0,50%
