Some might think that it is not a big deal because language develops, and that it is normal for novelty to enter through time. But novelty is only praiseworthy when it brings in a required word or expression that clarifies new concepts, and there are a number of good examples of this in Arabic that follow the language's rules. The issue however, is that MSA effortlessly copies expressions from western languages while there are already suitable equivalents in Arabic. It is critiqued for making the language very unintuitive, breaking the rules of التعريب, and contributing to the sense of strangeness Fushā has among the laity. There are even many matters where dialectal nouns and idioms are more in line with the nature of Arabic than MSA ones. There is much more to say but the book deals with it thoroughly. It may not be possible to uproot the problem seeing as it is everywhere, but we can at least make an effort to recognize that there is an existant problem and we can work towards minimizing its damage, spreading awareness, and avoiding the more major errors

A greatly beneficial book on the topic of nouns and idioms that have entered arabic through (mostly) European influence. This is an especially important read when you are around intermediate level in your arabic journey before modern faults corrupt your ذوق as habits are hard to break
