Key to mastering consistency is also knowing when NOT to trade. For example DXY right now, we have CPI today and trading right now is just asking to give your money away to the market makers. Make sure to have a proper daily direction and you're not rangebound.

When you have a large range previous day or even large range previous session, it's always a good choice to let price develop a bit. We always try to work with market cycles. The cycles: Expansion - Reversal - Consoldation - Retracement So massive expansion yesterday has a high chance of consolidation or retracement. These are these you want to sit still until information is provided.
