Our entire election apparatus is a conglomerate mashup of 1,000s of smaller levers of orchestration. Registration forms. Attestation forms. Certifications. Primaries at various levels. Voting in different ways all over. The whole thing is based on honor system. Even the fake “controls and oversight” are just some guy or gal signing a form saying “trust me bro”.
