Dunstable Road, #Luton. Man jailed after attacking two police officers with noxious spray causing temporary blindness and breathing difficulties. An attacker sprayed two police officers when they were called to reports of a domestic assault. 31-year-old Ionut Spanache (Romanian) opened the door and assaulted the officers with a PAVA-like spray, a synthetic pepper spray substitute, causing them to run from the property. He was sentenced at Luton Crown Court on July 17 to two years’ imprisonment.
