To add to our previous post - https://t.me/UKWayfarerchannel/547 Pikmin Bloom, Pokémon GO and Monster Hunter Now have had app updates in the last week changing the startup screen to show Scopely Explore. Campfire and Wayfarer (including the Wayfarer Community forums) have yet to change.

🆕 NIANTIC LABS IS NOW SCOPELY EXPLORE 🆕 Following Pokémon GO, Pikmin Bloom, Monster Hunter Now, Wayfarer and Campfire being sold to Scopely, they now operate under the banner of Scopely Explore, finally dropping the Niantic name. They note that over the coming weeks, you will see the Niantic name begin to evolve across platforms to Scopely Explore. ✍️ CODENAMES NianticTintino has announced there are some changes to how your Pokémon GO username is displayed on your nominations. tl;dr your username will now show on Wayspots on Pokémon GO and the Wayfarer Map. This included ones submitted through Wayfarer Web Submit which previously did not show your username.

🗺️ WAYFARER MAP UPDATE NianticTintino shared an update to the Wayfarer Map that you see upon logging in to Wayfarer. The main update is regarding Zoom levels and you can see details here below. One interesting comment we wanted to pull out on the thread was a user asking for a grid of S2 cells to be added. NianticTintino responded to this. Wayspot placement should not depend on other tools than what Wayfarer hasn’t already provided. Wayspots should be placed at the accurate location where they exist in the real world. 🆙 UPGRADED UPGRADES! NianticTintino shared in the forums that Upgrades will soon change. You will now be able to apply an Upgrade only after 24 hours have passed since your submission. This brief, 24-hour buffer allows our internal system, eMiLy, to properly process the nomination before an Upgrade is applied

🧑‍⚖️ NIANTIC SETTLE LAWSUIT This isn’t really Ingress/Recon/Wayfarer related but we wanted to share just for awareness Niantic Inc. agreed to pay $8 million to settle a class action lawsuit alleging sex and gender discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation and related workplace violations involving current and former female employees. Current and former female employees who worked for Niantic in California at any time between July 7, 2019, and Dec. 10, 2025, may qualify to receive a cash payment.
