🌟 Invitation to a Grand Legal Debate Forum 🌟 The Law Students Association of Debre Tabor University, in partnership with the United Nations Association (UNA) – Debre Tabor University Chapter 🤝, proudly invites the entire university community 🎓 to a distinguished and engaging legal debate forum centered on the theme “Transitional Justice: Accountability or Forgiveness and Reconciliation?” ⚖️ This event marks a historic milestone as the first-ever legal debate forum 🎉. It aims to create a platform for meaningful dialogue 💬 on one of the most pressing and sensitive issues of our time, where law students will take the stage to critically examine the balance between ensuring accountability and promoting forgiveness and reconciliation in the pursuit of lasting peace 🕊. Through thoughtful arguments and rigorous analysis 🧠, the debate will highlight the significance of accountability as a foundation for sustainable peace, while also exploring the legal and moral dimensions of reconciliation processes. The United Nations Association Ethiopia (UNA-ET) has officially launched its Advocacy and Decision-Making workshop in Addis Ababa. ⚡️ Yeabisra Mekuria president and founder of our chapter grabbed this invaluable opportunity and ensured our chapter could benefit from. The workshop is set to equip 20 youth-led initiatives from all over Ethiopia with enhanced skills in advocacy, policy engagement, and democratic processes. ⚡️Zekarias Nigussie, UNA-ET-DTU Chapter's Membership Coordinator, is currently representing the United Nations Association Ethiopia Debre Tabor University Chapter in the training. This training is part of the WYDE Civic Engagement Project, which focuses on empowering young people to meaningfully contribute to decision-making, governance, and policymaking. UNA-ET is implementing this project locally with collaboration from partners like ALDA, People in Need, and Elbarlament, and is supported by the European Union and European Partnership for Democracy. #UNAET #UNAETDTU
