Here is how 2FA works: *The server creates a secret code. *You scan the qr code with Google authenticator(or similar app). *Your phone saves that secret code. *Now both the server and your phone have the same secret. *Every 30 seconds, both use the current time + the secret to generate a new code. *They use hmac-sha1 to generate the code. *When you enter the code, the server generates the code too and compares them. *If they match, you are authenticated. *The phone does not need internet because it only needs the secret and the current time.

I attempted to log in to a platform that requires two factor authentication (2FA). After retrieving the code from the google authenticator, the server taking an extended period to process the request before responding with an "incorrect code" error. Although I initially suspected the 2FA code was incorrect, the issue was caused by the server's slow response time, which resulted in the 2FA code expiring before verification.

have u seen recently webapps , miniapps that look exactly like mobile apps. I used to think they were built with expo , so that they are usable on both mobile and web app but when i read the web bundle turns out most of them are plain react. the "mobile app" feel comes from styling , they use react bottom sheets (those slideup from bottom like native apps) , centered screen (on desktop the app sits in a phone-width column in the middle) , real vibration on actions and smooth native like animation and transitions. i think this are very cool 🔥. they works perfectly on mobile browsers , telegram miniapps and even desktop.
