[Modern] vs [Golden Age] Cartoons Basically everything is reduced to numbers, Humans included. They see us as flesh and bone outside, chemical reactions inside. The focus changed from letting passionate writers and artists do their thing to letting focus groups and analytics decide what gets the best numbers and engagement. They went from art to imposed formula, then chasing trends to maximize numbers. They also have check-boxes of racial and so-called gender diversity to add, dumbing down plots and making characters ugly. There were diverse characters in the Classics (different animals for instance), but they weren't check-boxes.
