One of the greatest blessings Allah has given us is the ability of the heart and mind to adapt to whatever we repeatedly focus on. If a person constantly fills their mind with fear, pressure, problems, anger, and what may go wrong, the heart slowly becomes attached to anxiety and negativity. But if a person trains themselves to remember Allah, reflect on His blessings, and practise gratitude, the heart begins to find peace, contentment, and emotional strength. Allah ﷻ says: “Indeed, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.” — Surah Ar-Ra’d 13:28 Modern neuroscience now confirms something our religion taught us centuries ago: the brain strengthens whatever we repeatedly focus on. The more we dwell on stress and fear, the easier the mind returns to those thoughts. And the more we practise shukr (gratitude), sabr (patience), and dhikr (remembrance of Allah), the more the heart becomes emotionally balanced and resilient. The Prophet ﷺ said: “How amazing is the affair of the believer. Verily, all of his affair is good for him… If something good happens to him, he is grateful and that is good for him. If hardship strikes him, he is patient and that is good for him.” — Sahih Muslim Shaykh Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said: “The heart becomes sick just as the body becomes sick, and its cure is in repentance, protection, remembrance of Allah, and gratitude.” And Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen رحمه الله explained that constantly reflecting upon the blessings of Allah increases both gratitude and emotional tranquility because the servant realizes how much goodness Allah has already given him. Many high-achievers become experts at finding problems, fixing mistakes, and anticipating risks. But sometimes they become so focused on what is missing that they forget to appreciate what Allah has already placed in their lives. The heart grows in the direction it is constantly fed. https://t.me/amcounselor/10109 So feed it with dhikr. Feed it with gratitude. Feed it with tawakkul. Feed it with thoughts that bring you closer to Allah, not further into exhaustion. Because what we repeatedly focus on eventually shapes the state of our hearts.

People fall into two extremes about the evil eye—either denying it or fearing it excessively. The balanced view, explained by Ibn Uthaymeen (رحمه الله), is the true path. The evil eye is real, but it comes from envy (hasad), a disease of the heart, and it only harms by Allah’s permission. Islam does not teach fear of people, but trust in Allah (tawakkul). We protect ourselves through Qur’an, du’a, and remembrance, while purifying our hearts from envy. *The evil eye is real—but Allah is greater. And the one who relies on Him lives with peace and strength*. 🤍 Read: The Difference Between Evil Eye And Envy – Shaikh Ibn Ul-Uthaymeen https://salafidawahmanchester.com/2012/12/16/the-difference-between-evil-eye-and-envy-shaikh-ibn-ul-uthaymeen/ https://www.instagram.com/p/DXBIpjSDCy3/?igsh=MXB0emE0YXM2NXN0dQ==

*❤️🩹A Client’s Poem to her husband* after she took therapy ( *counseling plus psychotherapies plus medication*) ❤️🩹 https://www.instagram.com/p/DO0yZrFjLq6/?img_index=1&igsh=OXFuamE2eGRwa2t6 *💎A Letter of Gratitude, Healing, and Rebirth* 💎 My beloved, This letter is not written from pain alone, nor from gratitude alone— *it is written from evolution*. There were things in you I did not understand, and things that wounded me deeply. You were *present beside me*, yet your heart felt distant— especially before 2020, *when emotional absence spoke louder than silence*. The years before that had already shaped me— *a childhood marked by neglect*, *a family fractured in ways words cannot hold*. *Abandonment settled quietly in my bones*. *Loss followed loss*— even the loss of motherhood, even when I had education, comfort, and health. *I had everything*, *yet felt like nothing*. *I was starving—not for things*, *but for emotional safety*, *for reassurance*, *for someone to see me* without asking me to perform strength. Then came the weight of COVID, and the loneliness grew heavier. Surrounded by emotionally unavailable souls, *my language of love went unheard, misunderstood, dismissed*. *My body shut down*. *My mind froze*. I became *catatonic*— *bedridden*, *trapped between breath and despair*. *Yet Allah never abandons*. لا حول و لا قوة إلا بالله With trembling fingers, I searched— and by His mercy, *I landed where words carried healing*. *A therapist whose compassion reopened my soul*, https://www.instagram.com/p/DTcR0l0iN_h/?igsh=NXMzdXNhcThraTZ4 whose guidance returned my values, my worth, my self. And slowly— through that same mercy— *you changed*. You learned to be emotionally present. You learned to listen, to validate, to protect. You stood with me—not just beside me. *Your understanding became my first medicine*. *Your mindful presence became my first safety*. https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaGebei8KMqqhswbkK1L *That alone healed me* *more than anything else*. When I was at my weakest, when my body had given up— I found my voice with His mercy *For the first time, I spoke for myself*. I said: “*I need help*. This is not negotiable.” Even when *hesitation* (for mental health support) *of world* around me met me, I chose myself. That moment— that yes— was my rebirth. By Allah’s mercy, everything began to fall into place. *What once felt impossible* *now flows with ease*. Indeed There is ease after every hardship .., That was my Rabb’s promise Which I believed wholeheartedly… *What once broke me* *now teaches me*. I am not the woman I was. I am reborn— with self-love, self-worth, self-reassurance, and a heart anchored in tawakkul. And you— you are no longer the man who stood distant. You are the man who stayed, learned, protected, and grew. For that, I thank you. For standing with me in my becoming. *For walking beside my healing*. *For allowing Allah to soften your heart* so mine could finally rest. This is my evolution. This is our testimony. And this— is His mercy unfolding. With gratitude, with truth, and with Allah as Witness. لا حول و لا قوة إلا بالله
Allah does not praise a servant except after testing them. Every person whom Allah honors has first been tried in their faith, patience, and sincerity. Trials are not random or meaningless. They are part of how Allah refines a believer, strengthens reliance upon Him, and separates true patience from mere words. Hardship often comes before elevation, and struggle before recognition. Difficulty is not a sign that Allah has abandoned a person. Rather, it can be a sign that Allah is shaping them, teaching them endurance, humility, and trust. Those who remain steadfast through trials are the ones Allah raises in rank. This reflection reminds us to view our tests with faith and clarity, knowing that Allah’s wisdom is always greater than what we can see. Remember: *Some paths are painful not because we are weak, but because we are being shaped for something deeper.* https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaGebei8KMqqhswbkK1L
When the heart becomes enslaved to people’s praise, it trembles. When it fears people’s blame, it shrinks. Ibn al-Qayyim reminds us of a truth that frees the soul: human praise adds nothing to your worth, and human blame takes nothing away from your honor. People’s words rise and fall with moods, misunderstandings, envy, and limitation. Today they applaud you. Tomorrow they doubt you. None of it truly defines you. So why exhaust your heart chasing what cannot elevate you? Why wound your soul fearing what cannot disgrace you? True dignity lies in seeking the pleasure of Allah alone. When Allah is pleased, even criticism becomes light. When Allah is displeased, even applause turns hollow. Live with sincerity, not performance. Walk with purpose, not approval-seeking. Let your heart be attached to the One whose praise is honor and whose displeasure is the only loss worth fearing. When your intention is for Allah, you become free— free from people’s opinions, free from constant self-doubt, free to be sincere, steady, and at peace. https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaGebei8KMqqhswbkK1L/424 And that freedom… is a mercy.
