#Benefits Al-Ḥāfiẓ Abū Zurʿah Ad-Dimashqī said in his Tārīkh (p. 423): Abū Mus-hir narrated to us, saying: “I asked Mālik Ibn Anas about a certain matter, whereupon he said to me: ‘Do not ask about that which you do not seek [or truly need], for indeed you will forget that which you do seek.’ Then Mālik struck a parable for me and said: ‘Whoever purchases that which he does not need will eventually have to sell that which he does need.’”
They deceived you and said: [[ They deceived you and said: "You are too young to marry." They deceived you and said: "Get a Occupation and get yourself married." They deceived you and said: "Maturity is a prerequisite for marriage." They deceived you and said: "The only problem with marriage is the cost; otherwise, the timing is perfect." They deceived you and said: "Both genders will remain chaste for 15 years between puberty and marriage." They deceived you and said: "Fasting is the solution for unmarried people for 15 years." ]] ~ Hani Al-Abd Al-Qader (with modifications)

O Student of Knowledge.. You Are the Standard Some students of knowledge assume that the abundance of those appearing before the people on social media, from the Mashāyikh, scholars, and doctors who speak on the Sharīʿah, leaves him after all of this with no role in his community, and that the means and alternatives besides him are many, and that there are those whom millions follow, whose words the people hear and repeat in their gatherings. So how would his words be heard, and how would anyone return to his advice and guidance? Have glad tidings, O student of knowledge, for you are the standard for the people of your neighborhood, your community, your relatives, and your kin in distinguishing truth from falsehood. This is because the habit of people is to suffice with asking the people of knowledge rather than reviewing the books, tracing these issues, and knowing what is correct and incorrect in them. And the people of knowledge, in their view, are those whom they personally know of the Mashāyikh, scholars, and callers around them. Indeed, this small community surrounding you, even if it follows, watches, and repeats the words of those famous figures, will return to you to know the truth regarding what they say. And this has happened to us many times: the words of senior people of knowledge and others are presented to us, then you are asked (while you are the junior student in both knowledge and age): "Have you not heard the words of so-and-so? What is your view? Is this true? This is the first time we hear of it!" and similar expressions by which your opinion is sought, so that it may be known whether this is truth or falsehood. That is because you are present before them; they see you, know you, and are acquainted with your state. So what is obligatory upon you, O student of knowledge, is two matters: 1. The first matter: increasing in Sharʿī knowledge, so that when these questions are referred to you, you are qualified to answer them, and that you know the truth before being a standard for others in knowing the truth, and that you strive in learning and understanding Sharʿī knowledge. 2. The second matter: and it is of great importance: that you be a righteous example, so that you do not fall from their esteem. Beware of suspicion, of what stirs doubts, and of entering into things which, even if permissible, may diminish a person's Murūʾah, his worth, and his Sharʿī standing. May Allāh grant you success and protect you, guide you and aid you, and rectify your intention. Source Shaykh Fahd al-Lāḥiqī https://t.me/ibnthagiel/677
Today, there was a terrorist attack carried out by two Christians at an Islamic Center. The security guard was martyred defending the Masjid after the attackers even attempted to target Muslim children. He helped mitigate the attack and gave his life in the process. Police said more people would have died without his actions. Shaykh Uthman Farooq, who knew him, said he was a good brother and that they had even taught him how to make Wudu there. I attached a screenshot of something the brother previously posted on his page. The two terrorist Christian shooters died from self inflicted gunshot wounds. {And never think that Allah is unaware of what the wrongdoers do. He only delays them [i.e., their account] for a Day when eyes will stare [in horror]} [14:42]. {Surely! Those who disbelieved in Our Ayat, We shall burn them in Fire. As often as their skins are roasted through, We shall change them for other skins that they may taste the punishment. Truly, Allah is Ever Most Powerful, All-Wise} [4:56].
al-Imām Abū Ismāʿīl al-Harawī al-Anṣārī said: And they regarded affirmation as anthropomorphism; thus they found fault with the Qurʾān and deemed the Messenger ﷺ misguided. You will hardly see among them a pious man, nor one who reveres the Sharīʿah, respects the Qurʾān, or honors the Ḥadīth. They have been stripped of piety and softness of heart, the blessing of worship, and the dignity of submissiveness. They sought better than the Messenger [i.e., they sought to surpass him]; so look! For he is neither a seeker of his traces, nor a follower of his narrations, nor a defender of his Sunnah, nor does he desire his example. He parades in the rank of knowledge while not having known a single Ḥadīth. You see him mocking the religion and striking parables for it, toying with the people of the Sunnah and excluding them from knowledge altogether. You do not scrutinize their inner reality except that it betrays you, nor their creed except that it makes you suspicious. They have been clothed in the darkness of desires and stripped of the awe of guidance; so eyes turn away from them, and hearts are disgusted by them. And it has become widespread among the Muslims that their leader, ʿAlī bin Ismāʿīl al-Ashʿarī, used to neither cleanse himself, nor perform ablution, nor pray. Sources Dhamm al-Kalām wa-Ahlihi
The hypocrisy of the Mutakallimīn: they forbid Taqlīd, but then author books of Kalām for laymen to read. al-Imām Abū Naṣr as-Sijzī said: For if the disbeliever, as well as the Muslim child who reaches the age of puberty, are commanded to first observe and reflect using their own intellects, then there is no point to the books compiled by the Mutakallimīn regarding ʿAqlī matters. Nor is there any point to them compelling people to read these books and adopt what they have dictated within them. This is because every person's intellect is inherent to themselves; they do not find it in a book authored by them or by anyone else. Furthermore, doing so amounts to the very Taqlīd that they previously condemned, should someone accept it before its validity is established for them by their own intellect. Therefore, if they claim it is impermissible for anyone to accept a statement except by what is proven in their own mind, then there is no sense in them looking into the intellectual conclusions of someone else. #event@aqeeedah The Isnād of The Creed of al-Bukhārī إِسْنَادُ اعْتِقَادِ البُخَارِيِّ أخبرنا شيخنا محمد بن شمس الدين، أجازة، قال: أخبرنا يحيى المُدَرِّس، أجازة، عن عبدِ الحقِّ الهاشميِّ، عن أحمدَ بنِ سالمٍ البغداديِّ، عن عبدِ الرَّحمنِ بنِ حسنٍ، عن جدِّه مُحَمَّدِ بنِ عبدِ الوهَّابِ، عن عبد الله الشمري، عن ابن مشعاب، عن أحمد النجدي، عن محمد النجدي، عن ابن مشرف، عن ابن يحيى، عن الامام ابن المبرد، عن شهاب الدين ابن زيد الحنبلي، عن عائشة المقدسية، عن الحافظ شمس الدين الذهبي، عن الإمام الفخر ابن البخاري، عن موفق الدين ابن قدامة المقدسي، قال: أخبَرنَا عَبدُ اللهِ بنُ مُحَمَّدِ النقور، قال: حدثنا أبُو بَكْرٍ أحمد بن علي الطُرَيثِيثِيُّ، قال: حدثنا الإمام أبو القاسم هبة الله بن الحسن اللالكائي، قال: أخبرنا أحمد بن محمد بن حفص الهروي، قال: ثنا محمد بن أحمد بن محمد بن سلمة، قال: ثنا أبو الحسين محمد بن عمران بن موسى الجرجاني، قال: سمعت أبا محمد عبد الرحمن بن محمد بن عبد الرحمن البخاري بالشاش، يقول: سمعت أبا عبد الله محمد بن إسماعيل البخاري يقول If you attended the full session live, you can narrate it as Sama’ (سماعاً). For those catching up via recording, please narrate it as Ijazatan (إجازة) as shown in the isnad, as "hearing" only applies to live transmission. If you attended partially, narrate the live portion as Sama’ and the remainder (listened to via recording) as Ijazah. This Ijazah specifically covers the Creed of al-Bukhārī, so just ensure your terminology accurately reflects your method of attendance. I have kept the default as (إجازة) but you are free to change this to what fits your case specifically.

al-Imām Abū Naṣr as-Sijzī said: And it is necessary to contemplate the statements of the Kullābiyyah and the Ashāʿirah regarding the attributes, to know that they are not affirming a God in reality, and that they selectively choose from the texts what they desire, while abandoning the rest and contradicting it. al-Imām Abū Naṣr as-Sijzī said: Chapter: On mentioning the Sūrahs, and that they are revealed Qurʾān, not Muḥdath; and that the Qurʾān has a whole and parts, known divisions, a counted number of verses, words, and letters. All of that is the Speech of Allāh in reality, not metaphorically. And that which is read, memorized, recited, and written are the Sūrahs, the verses, and the words, nothing else. This is contrary to what our opponents say: that the Speech of Allāh cannot have plurality, that it is one indivisible entity, and that sequence/succession does not apply to it. "Indivisible speech" is something incomprehensible to anyone with an intellect, nor is there any evidence for it in the Book (The Qurʾān) or in the Athar. The Ruling on Reading Books That Interpret the Attributes Figuratively Question: Your Eminence, Shaykh, what is the ruling on reading books whose author has been afflicted with this, such as interpreting the Attributes of Allāh contrary to the methodology of the righteous Salaf, especially for one who has not studied ʿAqīdah? May Allāh grant you success. Answer (Ibn Baz): The student should seek out the well-known books, the books of the people of creed who are known for Salafī creed, and care should be given to them, such as the books of the early scholars: the book of ʿAbdullāh bin Aḥmad, ʿUthmān bin Saʿīd ad-Dārimī, and Ibn Khuzaymah, may Allāh have mercy on them, and others from the early Imāms. Likewise, those after them from the people of knowledge and insight, such as Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah, Ibn al-Qayyim, al-Ḥāfiẓ Ibn Kathīr, and the Imāms of the Daʿwah, Shaykh Muḥammad bin ʿAbd al-Wahhāb, may Allāh have mercy on him, and other shaykhs who gave attention to ʿAqīdah and gave attention to calling to it, along with being keen to reflect upon the Qurʾān, for it is the foundation of all foundations, and to give care to the Qurʾān and the Sunnah in ʿAqīdah and other than it. As for the other books, if there is a need for them, then he may look into them and benefit from them, and the mistakes should be pointed out, whether that is in the books of the earlier scholars or the books of the later scholars.
