I posted this message on this more than 40 days ago, in which I mentioned missing running. After thinking about it, I realized that the main reason for not running was a lack of time. Starting a new job made me hesitant to be away from home for too long. However, I discovered that I could run in the morning. I'm a morning person, and my family members are still asleep at that time. Since that decision, I've managed to complete 17 morning workouts. I can confidently say that 5 o'clock in the morning is the best time for running. The weather is delightful, the air carries a refreshing scent, the streets are uncrowded, and you can enjoy the sunrise while listening to the birds' songs. @MyPathToEnglish
In which situation can you understand that you are weak or strong? I don't mean strong physically with a muscular, powerful body; I don't know which word I can use for this instead of strong, but I mean, a strong man can do what he wants. Maybe you think you are strong, but in a specific situation, you realize you are weaker than what you have thought about yourself. I've been in such situations many times, and the most recent one occurred just a few minutes ago. Mansoor, a friend of mine whom I have known since university since 2004. He lives in Canada now and is a citizen there. He told me there is an opportunity for me to immigrate to Canada. Iranians are allowed to work in Canada with a tourist visa. He offered me an invitation that would increase my chances of getting a tourist visa. I can test my chances by applying for jobs in Iran. It means there are no risks. I only need to spend $500 to apply for the visa, and if I can get a job, I'll be able to pay all expenditures because the average salary of an IT job is $100,000. I'm sure I can get a job. I have enough skills; I know it is good for me and my family, but I can't think about immigration seriously. THIS IS MY DEFINITION OF WEAKNESS. @MyPathToEnglish
I want to create a YouTube channel and post tutorial videos there. I mean, I want to solve some simple programming problems and upload videos of them. However, there are a few challenges. First of all, as you know, taking the first step can be very difficult. The second challenge is that I don't know anything about design—absolutely nothing. At the very least, I should create a thumbnail for each video. Lastly, I have a strong accent, so I'm concerned that I won't be able to speak clearly in the videos. @MyPathToEnglish

I've obtained a premium account on Blinkist.com, and I just finished reading the summary of a book named 'Jog On' by Bella Mackie. The book is about the writer who had been suffering from mental health issues for a long time and realized that running can help her. After that, she has been running for at least an hour every morning for the past six years. The rest of the book discusses scientific facts that explain how running or jogging can help people overcome their mental health problems. I like it because I can put myself in the same situation this book describes. In the COVID era, I experienced stress, anxiety, and even panic attacks. The book compares the symptoms of a panic attack and a running exercise and says both cause a racing heart, sweaty palms, and adrenaline release, so a runner is familiar with these symptoms and can handle such situations. Besides that, exercising can reduce the level of cortisol, a stress hormone, in the blood. I recommend this book and running. @MyPathToEnglish
Amir is a friend of mine who wants to immigrate to Australia, and language is a significant challenge for him. It's not just challenging for Amir, but for others who didn't attend English private schools during their childhood. Unfortunately, Iran's public education system is, frankly, ineffective. After 12 years of attending school and studying English there, if you want to learn English, you basically have to start from scratch. Amir has been studying English for a few months, and he often complains about it. He wonders why English is so difficult, why it has so many exceptions, why letters have different sounds in different situations, why English isn't a phonetic language, why there are so many words for the same thing, and why English has so many grammar rules that Persian lacks. It's a series of 'whys.' Today, I was reading about Esperanto, and it reminded me of Amir's complaints. Unlike English, Esperanto is a phonetic language with no exceptions. People can become fluent in Esperanto five times faster than in Spanish, which is much easier than English. But here's the question: Why don't we see authors writing books in Esperanto or traders choosing Esperanto as their primary communication language? What's your opinion on this? @MyPathToEnglish
There are a lot of English words that begin with 're'. In some cases re is a suffix that conveys a sense of repetition to the original word and, in other cases the word without re is meaningless or have completely different meanings. I've thought that relax is in the second group but I've recently seen the word 'lax,' and I realized it relates to 'relax.' It means: not strict or careful enough about standards of behavior, work, safety etc. As you can see, the word 'lax' has a negative meaning, which is the opposite of the word 'relax'. @MyPathToEnglish
Last time Maryam, my wife, saw my writing, she told me that my handwriting is awful. Alongside it, Magoosh in his IELTS Tutorial videos was saying that you should practice to improve your writing speed and your writing should be good enough to be readable. Now I'm worried about it, if I want to write with a better handwriting my speed would decrease meaningfully. In this case, I tried to write better, how is it? @MyPathToEnglish
I've been thinking about the distinctions between language input and output skills in the process of language learning since I saw a word that it's very easy to understand its meaning and very hard to use it in a sentence. The word was "befriending" which I believe everyone even in elementary level can understand but only an advanced level English learner can use it in a sentence like this: she was very persistent about befriending me For example, if I want to say that, I'll say: she was very persistent to stay my friend. What do you think? 🤔 @MyPathToEnglish
There was a comedy TV series, and a character in it always used a strange word. I didn't know the meaning of that word, and I didn't even know if it was in Persian, English, or something else. I saw this word in a text that I was writing in my notebook. That word was "impasse." (آمپاس) The meaning of the word "impasse" is a situation in which it is impossible to continue a discussion or plan because the people involved cannot agree. The text that I found "impasse" in it, describes a real imapasse situation of a poor woman that has a selfish son.
