Hope you're all excited that When Furballs Strike 58 is just 2 weeks away! Let's get those pre-registrations in and let's fill as many lanes as we can before pre-reg closes on Tuesday, 8/25! Please refer to the prior message in the Announcements Channel for the registration options and payment links. Also a friendly reminder that there are a lot of you requested to bowl in a group, but aren't pre-registered. All bowlers in a group must pre-register to save the lane spots, so please get your payments in as soon as possible so we can complete your lane reservations. And finally, we are thrilled to announce our WFS 58 DJ: Acronix will be making his WFS debut and spinning a great mix of Tech/Disco House during bowling! He has DJed at several cons including FWA, BLFC and FC, as well as many local events. Welcome, DJ Acronix!

We're 3 weeks away from our summer furbowl! Please RSVP on the Meetup Event Page and continue to get those bowling groups together and pre-registrations in. Attached are the reg options for bowling, please send your pre-reg in via PAYPAL or VENMO with the required info. Update about our Charity Auction: After talking with the charity Dog Gone Seattle, we have decided to postpone the Auction to our next furbowl, WFS 59 in November, due to the anticipated lower turnout for our summer WFS. Everything else will remain the same as far as giveaways: We've had a few people ask how many Ultrasponsor spots are left - the answer is a lot! It's highly unlikely we will sell out of pet bins before the event. If we start running low, we'll post here so nobody misses out! Also we have lots of spots left for the Furry Family Feast Italian Dinner at Vulpine Taproom! Our WFS 58 Group Dinner is all set! The staff at Vulpine Taproom have arranged a delizioso Italian feast, complete with appetizer, choice of Meatball or Eggplant Parmesan and scrumptious Panna Cotta for dessert, all for just $17! As always, drinks may be purchased separately in the taproom and brought into the Burrow to enjoy while dining. Like last time, the dinner will be served in two shifts, 6:15pm and 7pm, due to available seating. When sending in your ticket payment, please indicate your name and what time slot you want in the Notes/Info section of the payment. Please send in both your WFS bowling pre-reg and dinner payments together if you plan on attending both! WFS 58 Updates: Our special custom pawprint pet tags have come in! They come in 5 different colors, and are engraved with “WFS 58: Wags To Riches” on the back to commemorate our event. There are 50 of these, they will be available while supplies last at the Super/Ultrasponsor check in table alongside the usual Stylus ballpoint pens, Coasters and Magnets - we have a new design for the WFS magnet! We are finalizing details with the wonderful staff at Vulpine Taproom for our Group Dinner as well, that will be announced and open up for ticket sales very soon! The Ultrasponsor Gift for WFS 58: Lattice Paw Pet Bin! It will store all your pet toys/supplies, laundry, plushie collection (anything up to 20lbs!) and is fully collapsible for easy storage. They are all individually packaged and will handed out at the Ultrasponsor check-in! There are 84 pet bins reserved for pre-reg Ultrasponsors, if we have any left over, the rest will go to at-event Ultras. The WFS logo Sport Bottle or 5 bonus raffle tickets are alternate gift options - if you want either of those instead of the bin, please mention in your pre-reg notes. In addition, we will have special custom WFS 58: Wags to Riches pawprint pet tags, as well as a new design of WFS logo fridge magnet to choose from as gifts for both our Super and Ultrasponsors! Photos of each will be posted when they come in. When Furballs Strike 58 is all set for Saturday, August 29! The theme will be "Wags to Riches" celebrating dogs, cats and all our 4-legged pet friends who bring love & joy to our lives ❤️ Please RSVP on the Meetup Event page here: WFS 58: Wags to Riches! We will be holding our annual Charity Auction after bowling, and our 2026 beneficiary is Dog Gone Seattle, a local foster-based rescue that has adopted out more than 6,000 at-risk dogs since their founding in 2017. They are entirely volunteer-run and community funded - the money we raise will go towards ensuring that each animal they intake gets proper veterinary care and training so they can find forever homes 🐶🏠 They are planning to have a table set up by the front desk during bowling, so WFS attendees can learn more about their organization (and they may bring a special canine ambassador as well!) Note: We will be returning to The Burrow at Vulpine Taproom for our group dinner! Details are in the works, when everything is set, a separate Event Page will be made for the dinner event. Details about our really cool themed Ultrasponsor and Supersponsor gifts coming soon!

Regardless of records or numbers, just to bring our amazing furry community together like this for a fun time on the lanes is something incredibly special, and our staff and volunteers who work hard to put this on are so grateful for everyone's love and support ❤️ Huge props to our reg team: Hubcap, Conqure and ChaosReign who seamlessly checked in over 200 bowlers, Smiles who took official attendance, MadDog who provided sound for our DJ Braxton Yote who played an awesome set, Arty who helped deliver more than 60 prizes to our attendees in the raffle, and everyone who donated prizes, bought raffle tickets or purchased a high-level reg to support WFS. Also thank you to the Kenmore Lanes staff who treats us like family and truly loves hosting our event! WFS 58 will likely be in late August, to be announced by the end of June. A big, heartfelt thank you to all who attended When Furballs Strike 57 yesterday, from near and far, including Boston and even Singapore! It was another historic day as we welcomed 371 attendees, 184 fursuiters and a world record 276 furry bowlers to our event. The 276 bowlers was not only the largest one-day bowling event (of any kind) in Kenmore Lanes' 68-year history, it was the largest ever held in the ENTIRE Pacific Northwest! 📸 @chaosreign

Lost and found from the furbowl, we have a bone prop and 2 balaclavas (one blank and one with a panda logo), and some fursuit eye blanks that were left in the fursuit changing room. If any of this is yours please DM @kijani_lion and we’ll make arrangements to get it back to you ^^

Looks like Mother Nature wins today 🌧️🌧️🌧️ Reminder if you are fursuit bowling in your footpaws, do not go outside in them (or your bowling shoes!) as this will damage the approach area of the lane and create a safety hazard for others. Shoe rental is free and included with your bowling reg.
