[PLAY-BUILDING: WAYS TO BEGIN WRITING FOR THE STAGE] What makes a play a play? ✍️ If you've ever wanted to write for the stage but weren't sure where to begin, Play-building: Ways to Begin Writing for the Stage is for you. Led by playwright Michelle Tan, this eight-session course explores the fundamentals of playwriting through a range of exploratory exercises, close reading and discussion of texts, and practical writing activities. Along the way, you'll begin shaping the building blocks of a play while discovering and refining your own writing process, from drafting and crafting to bringing your work off the page and into the world. Who is this for? 🎭 Writers who are beginning to explore playwriting and aspire to tell stories for the stage. [ENGAGE-A-DRAMATURG 2026] From a promising draft to a stronger play: develop your script with a dramaturg. ✍️ 𝙀𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙜𝙚-𝙖-𝘿𝙧𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙜 is Centre 42's initiative for playwrights developing new plays.
