Pattern baldness is so common that some estimates suggest it affects nearly all white men and women. Since defective genes and niche hormonal anomalies can't account for such widespread prevalence — some have suggested that aging is the only legitimate known cause. "...The incidence in caucasians is often quoted as approaching 100%." "As androgenic alopecia is a very common condition and displays a large variety in the rate of progression, apparently normal people may be in fact in the early stages of baldness." "The attempt to combat ageing of scalp hair, and the search for 'anti-hair loss' or 're-growth' treatments are thus challenges with a great deal in common." PMID: 8832948, 7756156

Many are thinking that they will deal with inflation while their assets appreciate and protect them, unaware of a decades-long plan to asset-strip the nation during a crisis.

Ray encouraging a confused person to read books instead of "the great trash heap of the internet" in 2021:
When the thyroid function is low, the pituitary and adrenals rev up to compensate — producing a massive amount of DHEA in the short-term: "Eighteen men aged 18 to 32 with rapidly progressive male pattern baldness had serum DHEAS and testosterone measured..." "DHEAS levels were elevated in all patients..." "This study adds evidence to the possibility that hyperadrenalism may be an important element in the complex biochemistry of male pattern baldness." PMID: 2950147 "Increasingly, in both sexes, it appears that DHEA may rise during stress as a result of a deficiency of thyroid, progesterone, and pregnenolone." — Prostate Cancer by Ray Peat (2013)
Even when someone's posting a wacky diet or supplement strategy for attention, they're almost always chronically ill, desperate, and confused. This phenomenon is commonplace in every internet health modality.
The reason estrogen is difficult to control is that it arises from injury, and there are a million different injurious things in our environment (e.g., EMF, pollution, bad food, blue light, psychosis-inducing culture of survival, etc.).
"During the period of therapy with DES there was decided loss of scalp hair and other hair, and the patient refused to continue longer to take that estrogen." (1945) PMID: 21009660
"That the major emotions have an energizing effect has been commonly recognized. Darwin testified to having heard, 'as a proof of the exciting nature of anger, that a man when excessively jaded will sometimes invent imaginary offences and put himself into a passion, unconsciously for the sake of reinvigorating himself...'" — Walter Cannon (1922)
"...First and foremost, think straight, trust the quiet inner voice that tells you what to do. You hold your life in your hands, don't entrust it to anyone else, least of all to your chosen leaders. BE YOURSELF! Any number of great men have told you that." — Listen, Little Man! by Wilhelm Reich

"...A new hypothesis that sees female pattern hair loss as an estrogenetic alopecia, instead of the always considered hypothesis of female pattern of male androgenetic alopecia. Therefore, the term 'Estrogenic Alopecia'..."

Finasteride may "work" not by lowering DHT, but by increasing nitric oxide — a systemic injury signal — similar to minoxidil. "...Our data clearly indicates that a finasteride-induced DHT deficiency intensifies the constitutive expression of iNOS in most rat testicular and epididymal cells, so it can be expected that the expression of inducible nitric oxide synthase could be regulated by DHT." PMID: 19404589

Castration, used as early proof that androgens caused baldness and shaped decades of baldness research — also practically eliminates estrogen and lowers serotonin, and prolactin. "[Castration] not only depletes androgens in men, but also estrogens. This is because estrogen in males is derived from testosterone." "Castration partially reduced the serotonin/prolactin response…" PMID: 23484454, 23506438
