Оказывается в английском есть такое же слово для коликов, как в русском языке, только здесь оно является прилагательным 📌colicky /ˈkɑː.lɪ.ki/ - suffering from or relating to a severe but not continuous pain in the bottom part of the stomach or bowels, that mainly affects babies 🟢 a colicky baby 🟢 She was admitted to hospital suffering from a sudden colicky pain. Существительное же будет colic and it's uncountable btw🟢 Всем желаю not suffer from a colicky pain, и наслаждаться жизнью!! 🤔Buddy reading📕 Good morning, my dear friends! Делюсь своими последними мини-blessings⬇️ ✴️Чтение с моей bookish bestie всегда было right up my alley. Thrillers, romances, fiction, and all that jazz. Just two peas in a pod🪼 🙂Но с недавнего времени в мою жизнь вошла моя ученица Настя. Мы занимались чуть больше месяца, когда узнали, что у нас абсолютно одинаковые вкусы на книги. Хорошо, что на занятиях есть такие тривиальные вопросы как "Home many books do you read?", чтобы узнать всю подноготную учеников🙂 😎As it turned out, Настя - avid reader, и у нее больше 400 physical books. It's just mind-blowing!!! Любая книга в жанре фэнтези - you name it, she has it. Поэтому недолго думая, я решила взять паузу перед последней частью игры престолов и вместе почитать Fourth Wing. (Настя перечитывала третий раз!!) 🍿To say it was a blast would be an understatement. За четыре дня была прочитана первая часть. Когда в режиме реального времени хоть и в разных городах (что разбивает нам сердечко), мы вместе плачем над всем, что там происходит - unmatched experience. Книга кстати восторг, я даже не рассказывала Егору сюжет, чтобы мы хоть сериал вместе посмотрели😂 Сегодня еду за второй частью и мы приступаем right off the bat🕺 PS на видео literally us iykyk💅 What are you reading rn, guys? 🌟Series🌟 Good afternoon, my dear friends! So, I fell off the face of the earth (=пропала), but I'm finally in Moscow and ready to share what I've been up to and my recent obsessions🐚 ✴️In between reading GoT books and some chick-lit literature, I decided to mellow out (=relax) and shift my focus to the tv series and movies. 1⃣I watched "Legally Blonde" and it came as a complete revelation (=приятно удивил) and won me over cuz I'd always been biased against this movie, but having watched it, I finally saw what all the fuss was about (=почему он так популярен)🥰 Not wanting to part with Elle Woods, I decided to check out a new tv series-prequel "Elle", and it has me in a chokehold (=I'm obsessed), guys😎 2⃣Aside from that, being a die-hard Gravity Falls fan, I embarked on watching the cartoon "Amphibia" (kudos to my sister who had actually found this absolute gem)🐸 It was created by the same creator and there are even some Gravity Falls references, so I don't know how it flew under my radar (=как он прошел мимо меня), but now I can't help but share🐸❤ What about you, guys? 🌻Home🥰 Good morning, my amazing friends! We finally made it to Yeisk, our annual trip to my hometown to see my nearest and dearest (=родных), bask in the sun, and relish the weather outside (btw, it's pretty balmy here, not scorching hot as we'd thought it would be)😊 🌞We continue working, but the change of scenery (=смена обстановки) and the peace and quiet of the rural-ish atmosphere work wonders and are conducive to (=благоприятные для) our productivity. I brought three books (the fifth GoT book, Happy Place and my Kindle) and try to alternate (=варьировать) different genres📖 🍓My parents and grandparents pamper us with (=балуют) finger-licking homemade food that we'd been yearning for (=давно хотели), and we treat ourselves to fresh produce (=свежие продукты) and home-grown raspberries/gooseberries/tomatoes and all that jazz🍒 🌻This year there's also a huge sunflower field behind our property, so we also enjoy that picturesque quintessential summer view (=классическим живописным летним пейзажем) 🐱 🐈Last, but not least, we're so elated that we finally reunited with our cat and chinchilla (both safe and sound), caressing them whenever the opportunity presents itself (=когда предоставляется возможность). ✴️Check out the photos, guys, (including the ones in the comments!!) and don't forget to drop a reaction if you liked the post💛🖼 #personal

😁My students🥰 Good afternoon, my friends!! За последние две недели я развиртуализировалась с двумя своими замечательными ученицами and without further ado делюсь подробностями⬇️ 1⃣С Алиной мы прогулялись по Москве и got our steps in (=находили шаги). Чувствовалось, что мы picked up where we left off (=продолжили, где остановились) и просто обсуждали все подряд и confided in each other🐝 Полностью забыли о телефонах, но Алина взяла с собой полароид и теперь у каждой есть супер милой фотографии на память🩷 2⃣С Олей мы сходили в кино на Майкла на английском и mixed business with pleasure: обсудили акценты, слова с уроков, которые встретились и просто прекрасно провели время! I was delighted, когда услышала, что Оля осталась в бешеном восторге от оригинальной версии и дубляж can't hold a candle to it (=не сравнится с ним). Решили взять за традицию every now and then вместе ходить в кино на английском😊 А еще мы пришли к выводу, что мы даже внешне похожи😊 ✴️By and large (=в общем и целом), очень люблю всех своих учеников и радуюсь, что мы можем дружить IRL и иметь столько общего, помимо английского💛

Сегодня делюсь с вами новыми словами, которые встретила при просмотре сериалов и чтении💓 🐚 purse strings - the spending of money by a family, company, or country (бюджет, финансы) e.g.: A recent survey showed that in 53 percent of families, women hold (= control) the purse strings. 🐚burr/bur - репейник (хотя у него есть много других значений!!) e.g.: The burrs on the carpet were difficult to remove. 🐚obtuse /ɑːbˈtuːs/ - stupid and slow to understand, or unwilling to try to understand (бестолковый) e.g.: The answer's obvious - or are you being deliberately obtuse?
