A double-header! Join us on July 5th for two workshops: neck rope safety from 10am to noon, followed by an introduction to scarf play from 1pm - 3pm. Neck Rope: Whilst neck rope is never safe, there is a lot that can be done to make it safer. This workshop has a heavy emphasis on safety, but we will also show you different ways that you can integrate a neck rope into your sessions, and which risks you should consider for each of them. Scarf Play: In this workshop, Miss Katha and Miss Mori present the surprisingly versatile world of scarves, which, despite appearing to be everyday objects, offer enormous potential in play. Bondage, breath play, and sensual play are among their most dominant but by far not the only possibilities and the creative potential is limitless. Scarves come in a variety of colors and patterns and possess different characteristics depending on their size and material, such as cotton, satin, or silk.
Ztella's Intro to Hashira is always a hot ticket, and now we're offering a Level 2! Join us for an immersive two-day workshop where we build upon the foundational skills acquired in the Introduction to Hashira class. This class delves deeper into the art of Hashira, emphasising full suspensions and inversions. While Hashira suspensions often involve fixing someone to a pole, which can seem static, this class will teach you techniques to introduce more movement and fluidity. Participants will explore a variety of shapes and techniques off the ground, enhancing their ability to create dynamic sessions on a hashira. Workshop Two of our weekend with Mie Neko: Predicaments on Sunday, 15 November. A predicament in Shibari describes a situation in which the tied person can choose between several body positions, each of which brings its own challenges or forms of strain. The goal is not necessarily pain, but rather to create a playful balance between different options and their consequences. To maintain this balance, we need to develop a strong sense for the situation and for our model, make regular adjustments, and continuously ensure the model’s safety. In this style of tying, model and rigger work more against each other than with each other. Note: This workshop is intended for people who already have experience with partial suspension. We're excited to welcome Mie Neko for two workshops at Daruma this November! First up: "Turning Point" on Saturday, 14 November: "In this workshop, we will explore concepts that allow for sudden, visually striking transitions from one shape to another. Together, we will look at the turning points that make these movements feel smooth and intentional, how to identify positions that naturally enable dynamic changes, and how to create dramatic visual impact while maintaining safety and body awareness from a rope model perspective." Note: This workshop is intended for people who already have quite some experience with full suspension and transitions. More info and tickets: https://www.daruma.berlin/all-events/turning-point

Our 6-week beginners course Rope for Beginners Step 2 starts again on 12th of May! The goal of these classes is to facilitate regular, structured practice, that aims to go deep rather than broad, helping you to develop a really firm grasp of rope bondage basics, build muscle memory, and get to know other participants. Step 2 builds on the content of the Step 1 course, deepening and expanding on what you’ve already learnt. By the end of the course, participants should have a wider range of technical elements in their rope tool kits, a deeper understanding of common safety issues, and should be able to construct a range of floor ties, and use them in play. Our 6-week beginners course Rope for Beginners Step 1 starts again on 12th of May!
