Last weekend, I made an intimate public hashira session with dearest Cath After Dark at Shizen Studio, ahead of our inaugural hashira workshop weekend. Given the spicy vibes in our planning sessions, it's no surprise that the session was very hot. Thanks to Vik for the tender photos.

At the end of August, I'll be joining with lovely Ineya to bring an exploration of intimacy and eroticism in shibari to Liminal in Amsterdam. On Friday 28th, we'll perform as part of the "Returning Home" Tea & Shibari event. On the weekend, Ineya and I will teach Aibunawa I, my approach to the style developed by Yukimura Haruki sensei and passed on through his students. In our most recent session, Elodie_Red (fetlife) and I tied something a bit more strenuous for the first time - previous sessions had all explored floor-based sensuality and shame play, the bread and butter of my tying these days. This shift in energy emerged spontaneously - we didn't discuss it or plan in advance, it just felt like a good occasion to try something differently intense. Who knows what the next session will bring?

I'm now open to bookings for international workshops in 2027. For the remainder of 2026, I have some availability for private lessons or sessions (in Barcelona). Two weeks ago, Oki and I shared La Bruja during the weekly shibari night at Dr. Flow. It was a different kind of public session, fusing the intimacy of aibunawa with the intensity of hashira. Thanks to Sara for the photos!

S is in town, and we were finally able to meet again - and what a treat it was 😍 We met, talked and tied once before, almost a year ago, and though we both looked forward to the next time, life hasn't cooperated such that we could meet again until now. I'm so enamored of the way she expresses herself in ropes - writhing and twisting, grasping and straining for contact with fingers and toes, sinking deep into the shared space. Her active engagement gives so much to respond to, bringing an extra spark to patterns and practices that often feel like familiar extensions of myself, imbuing them with a particular essence that comes from each of us giving as much as we can of ourselves. Here's to hoping that it's not another year before we next meet in ropes!
