Fun fact: In Russia, Christmas is NOT celebrated on December 25. In fact, Christmas is celebrated on January 7. It is because Russia follows a different calendar. In Russia we have дед мороз (father frost) who gives presents to everyone. He is accompanied by his granddaughter Снегурочка (snow maiden) ! I used to call her Elsa before I got to know her real name. Today, we had Christmas celebrations. 🎉 Счастливого Рождества ))
Merry Christmas
January 1, 2024 I remember the last time I did this, it was in 2020 and we all remember how that went ( Anyway, there’s always hope till there is hope. My emojis do not have the eyes -semicolon, colon etc- anymore because that is how people text in Russia. I asked a few friends and they said that Russians prefer this because there is no fear of it becoming an actual emoticon face -picture- . Russians do not believe in showing emotions outwardly. It makes them uncomfortable. They usually don’t smile, even in photographs ! It is strange because once I interact with them, they are the warmest people. Anyway, I hope to go on with these more in 2024. Do not let my stories interfere with your studies in any way or form. I encourage people who feel disturbed to exit, I would have done the same ! Happy new year again ! С Новым годом))

LBSNAA and beyond I am happy to inform you all that tomorrow I will be reaching mussoorie and reporting at LBSNAA. I invite all of you to be a part of my journey and will be sharing snippets of how everything unfolds. The schedule for the next 4 days is tight. The days include Unpacking luggage Document submission Fitness and medical test Laptop check up Orientation Various interactions Given the schedule, I have reason to believe that I might not be able to attend to your queries as efficiently as before. I would try my best to attend to the relevant queries as time permits. Therefore, I encourage all of you to interact and help each other as much as possible for you. Use the channel to engage with each other. Create synergy without getting distracted. Chat away the worries. We're all in this together ❤️ I advice you to refer to stories only as a means of break/ motivation for 10 to 20 minutes. Stay focused. I wish you all immense strength and peace. All the best 💗
Hello everyone! If there are any Mains specific doubts then you can ask them. I will try to answer the relevant ones. In terms of do s and don't s, I do not feel I have any novel ideas. It's pretty much the same things that everyone else talks about. I would be okay to repeat the same if required, let me know. All the best, keep studying 🧐👍
🇮🇳🇮🇳 Happy Independence Day 🇮🇳🇮🇳

Mental health and UPSC UPSC is a hard journey in different ways for different people. It tests your fortitude and pushes you to work on good days, bad days and some unbearable days too. Almost everyone feels emotions that are hard to feel, at some point in their UPSC journey. There is uncertainty, loneliness, fear of failure, emotional vaccum, stress, self doubt and what not. With Mains approaching, these emotions get heightened. Many people feel that if only they could clear the exam, get their first preference, get their home cadre, get this or that... they might be happy again. There's different levels to what people want for their happiness. To some extent, the day you achieve some of your goals, there is a relief. There is some security. You might even confuse this relief for happiness for a few days. There is a lot of noise, sweets and calls. When the crowd disperses, on introspection, some might find a certain guilt. Clearing UPSC does NOT solve all your problems. That is almost a no brainer. You feel guilt about not feeling happy because what more could you want. Nobody wants to be ungrateful and complaining. If you are brave enough, you might mention that you don't actually feel happy but more than often these feelings get invalidated. There's scores of people telling you that you should just try to be more positive. It is made to be a "YOU" problem. Maybe that is true, maybe it is not. It is important to be grateful in life. It is equally important to look at problems and work towards finding a solution. Positivity is a great virtue, it keeps you going even when the going gets hard. However, this is not about a probable solution that I might have for this problem. I am not here to tell you that it will get better. I am not even here to scare you that it will not get better. This is not a justification nor a denial of any behaviour. Neither is this an encouragement to argue that your happiness is a choice that you can make. It is none of these things. This is just an acknowledgement that all these emotions that you are feeling are fine. It's okay to be sad. Don't feel sad about feeling sad. Your emotions are valid and even if you feel like you have nobody, YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

Good morning all, Here is the questionnaire for all those who needed it.
Feel the need to look at the questionnaire?
Hello all, if there are some of you who feel they need the questionnaire for the above tasks. I would be glad to share. However, I do feel that I should make sure it would be okay to share it. Although, prima facie I do not see any issues with sharing the questions but I would still ask some competent authority. All of you can let me know if you feel interested. If only a handful are interested then perhaps I can send it to them separately. As Mains are approaching, I would be making posts regarding how to tackle various things : stress, time, pen pencils, desks etc. You all can ask your queries (if any) and I would compile a basic summary of what to expect answering those. Lastly, if someone feels they can answer the queries of another person, your unique experience will be helpful and your help is appreciated, go ahead. Always use caution when taking any advice and do what works best for you.
