The Meaning of Taghut (الطَّاغُوت) According to the Salaf مَعْنَى الطَّاغُوتِ عِندَ السَّلَفِ 🌷Taghut refers to anything or anyone that is worshipped, obeyed, or followed in rebellion against Allah ﷻ. The Salaf (early scholars) explained Taghut as: ✔Shaytan The ultimate enemy and caller to falsehood. ✔Soothsayers & Fortune Tellers (الكُهَّان) Those who claim to know the unseen and mislead people. 🌷Magicians (السَّاحِر) Who use jinn, deception, and evil to manipulate creation. ✔Idols (الأَصْنَام) Lifeless objects worshipped besides Allah. ✔Anything Worshipped Besides Allah Whether human, jinn, object, or concept — if it's taken as a deity, it is Taghut. 🌷Anyone Who Transgresses Limits Every tyrant and oppressor who goes beyond the limits set by Allah. 🪶Commentary (قلتُ) - Taghut is anyone who competes with Allah ﷻ in any of the three categories of Tawhid➖ 1️⃣Tawhid ar-Rububiyyah (Lordship) 2️⃣Tawhid al-Uluhiyyah (Worship) 3️⃣Tawhid al-Asma’ wa al-Sifat (Names & Attributes) "Whoever disbelieves in Taghut and believes in Allah has grasped the firmest handhold..." The Five Pillars of Islam مَبَانِي الإِسْلَامِ The Prophet ☁️ said: ⏪Islam is built upon five (pillars).⏩ 🪁Shahadah (Testimony of Faith) - "There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah." The foundation of belief and the key to entering Islam. 🪁Salah (Prayer) - Establishing the five daily prayers. The link between the servant and their Lord, never to be neglected. 🪁Zakah (Charity) - Giving the obligatory alms. Purifies your wealth and supports those in need. 🪁Sawm (Fasting) - Fasting during the month of Ramadan. A time of spiritual cleansing, self-discipline, and nearness to Allah ﷻ. 🪁Hajj (Pilgrimage) - Pilgrimage to the Sacred House (Kaaba)🕋 for those who are able. A once-in-a-lifetime obligation that renews the soul and symbolizes unity.

The Three Levels of the Religion مَرَاتِبُ الدِّينِ الثَّلاَثَةِ 1️⃣Islam الإسلام Submission to the command of Allah ﷻ, surrendering to Him in obedience and accepting His rulings. This is the foundation of faith. 2️⃣Iman الإيمان Faith consists of speech, action, and intention. It increases with obedience and decreases with sin. Practicing obligations and avoiding prohibitions is the level of complete faith (Kamal al-Iman). 3️⃣Ihsan الإحسان To worship Allah ﷻ as if you see Him — and if you cannot see Him, know that He sees you. This is the highest level of spiritual excellence. ✔️

The Two Conditions for the Validity of Righteous Deeds 1️⃣ - Sincerity (Ikhlas) — Worship must be for Allah alone. 2️⃣ - Adherence to the Book, the Sunnah, and the actions and sayings of the Sahaba. 🔴Without both, acts of worship are not accepted. Say: I am only a man like you, to whom it has been revealed that your god is but One God. So whoever hopes for the meeting with his Lord—let him do righteous deeds and not associate anyone in the worship of his Lord." Relationship Between Islam and Iman ♦️When mentioned separately ➡️ Both refer to Tawheed. ♦️When mentioned together⬇️ ⏺️Islam 🟰 Testifying with the tongue (Shahadah) ⏺️Iman 🟰 Acting upon it (deeds of the heart & limbs) Faith Grows and Decreases ➕ Increases with obedience ➖ Decreases with sin — until nothing remains, if unchecked. Two Conditions for the Acceptance of Righteous Deeds شَرطَا صِحَةِ العَمَلِ الصَّالِحِ 🤎Sincerity to Allah ﷻ Alone الإِخْلَاصُ لِلَّهِ ﷻ وَحْدَهُ Every act of worship must be done purely for the sake of Allah, with no desire for praise, fame, or worldly benefit. 🤎Following the Qur'an and the Sunnah الاتِّبَاعُ لِلكِتَابِ والسُّنَّةِ Deeds must be in accordance with the guidance revealed in the Qur'an and taught by the Prophet ﷺ. ♦️Allah ﷻ says: “Say, 'I am only a man like you, to whom has been revealed that your god is but one God. So whoever hopes for the meeting with his Lord – let him do righteous work and not associate in the worship of his Lord anyone.'” [Surah Al-Kahf 18:110]
