Stephen A. Smith Claps Back at Suns' Kevin Durant For 'Clown' Comment Longtime NBA analyst and personality Stephen A. Smith has never been shy about making his feelings known about anything. He has angered players, fans, coaches, etc. but has never shied away from a fight. This has led some more outspoken athletes to go after him in the media. Most recently, it was Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant. Despite the Suns holding a record of 5-1 on the season, Smith isn't buying them as serious contenders in the NBA this season. Lakers Center Under New Investigation by NBA for Domestic Disturbance The NBA is reopening a 2021 domestic disturbance incident involving now Los Angeles Lakers center Jaxson Hayes. TMZ released a video of the incident which prompted the new investigation from the league to take place. ESPN NBA insider Dave McMenamin reported the news on social media. The NBA released a comment regarding the decision to start up the investigation again. "As a result of the media report and video posted this morning, we are reopening our investigation," NBA spokesman Mike Bass told ESPN in a statement.

Warriors Make NBA History After Just Two Games to Open New Season It has only been a few days since the NBA season started but the Golden State Warriors have already made history just two games in. They have started the year with two wins but they are the first team to open their season with two wins by at least 35 points. The Warriors went through some big changes this offseason which included seeing All-Star guard Klay Thompson leave the organization. Golden State put together a ton of depth around star guard Steph Curry and Draymond Green that they believed would help. So far, it's been a strong start. They have taken down the Portland Trail Blazers and Utah Jazz through the first few games of the season. Both of those teams aren't very good but a win is a win for this Warriors team. They are looking to get back to the postseason after missing it entirely last year.

Clippers 'Insane' Debut of The Wall Made Immediate Impression on Kevin Durant Just when it seemed like the Los Angeles Clippers would grab a win in the official opening game at the Untuit Dome, Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant snatched it away. Durant and the Suns took down Los Angeles by a score of 116-113 in overtime to open their season. The game was a close throughout, with the Clippers battled through the entire night. But in the end, Phoenix was just a little bit better. However, Durant did take notice of the new arena, specifically the innovative "Wall" that the Clipper debuted. He weighed in on the new addition to the NBA. "I absolutely loved 'The Wall' that they've got," Durant said, noting that it reminded him of playing at Oklahoma State during his one college season at the University of Texas. "That's insane. I know in the playoffs and once people get more comfortable with the arena, it's going to be insane here. I was just staring at ['The Wall'] the whole time. You're not used to that. It's going to be a tough road environment for whoever comes in here."
