Floating somewhere between acid, italo and house, he knows how to take the dancefloor on a journey. Berlin’s metaverde, the ‘greenfluenced (tech)house’ alias of Midori, will open in style and Argentinian sensation Desirée Falessi will close the night with chugging electro, progressive house and techno. Over in the Bogen, the night is all about funk, disco and electro boogie. Kicking off with Femdelic and continuing on with Toribio’s jazz and funk influenced selections. Later in the night, Bell Towers brings his quirky combinations of basement house with synthetic pop and chic funk, moving into soulful, groovy house from Philippa. Meriem S opens with a mix of house, jazz, funk, boogie, electro, and Afro-diasporic sounds. FLOWWW and Joe Cleen go b2b as Double Penetration, with a high energy mix of classic house with progressive influences. Then Offenbach-based Luzie brings her minimalistic, groovy selections back to Kater - always a treat! Last but not least, label boss Siggatunez goes b2b with Jan Ketel. Hopper will provide a nice contrast - gritty, industrial sounds inspired by the 80s and 90s. Opening the night will be Jennifer Touch, a multidisciplinary artist whose sound can be described as a post-wave-cold-pop-acid-romance. A lover of old synths, she draws inspiration from PJ Harvey and Depeche Mode. Moroccan-Belgian artist Zaatar then takes over, combining post-punk and EBM influences with the sounds of her home country. We end the night with The Brvtalist, with an innovative mixture of techno, house, groove and body music. We continue through the day on Sunday with 257, with Alfonsvs and Adriana Ruas from Porto-based label Kokölò, as well as Emmanuel K and the one and only Norman Weber.
