NEW Kulture Dads — Hip-hop Album Trade 👉 Get it HERE OG Kulture Dads will remember the "Old School Hip-hop" episode. Now, 180 or so episodes later, we do a hip-hop album trade. And it was a pretty interesting choice: two records at the hinge of old school vs. the future of the genre. It was also a bit of a reversal: Dave threw Mike a weird curveball, whereas Mike chose a stone-cold classic.

NEW Kulture Dads — Memento 👉 Get it HERE This one has been on the docket since the very beginning of Kulture Dads. One of Mike's top movies, Memento is a revenge thriller with a cerebral twist: the character has amnesia and so the movie is told in reverse order. It's one of those rare movies that gets right both masculine vitalist violence and deep philosophical nuance. An absolute masterpiece, and it was a blast to discuss.

🎬 RoboCop — FULL EPISODE ON YOUTUBE Mike and Dave pull out an 80s classic, break it open, and apply our usual KDAD analytical method. For as much as it's a roller-coaster ride, the movie is hard to pin down—we ended up with some different interpretations. NEW Kulture Dads — Lord of the Flies 👉 Get it HERE Lord of the Flies is the "return to monke" meme before the meme. Built atop a foundation of the "state of nature"—a 17th century meme—the book follows a group of schoolboys stranded on a tropical island as they revert to savagery. The KDADS take a different angle on it, as you might imagine. This was one of our best episodes, as Mike and Dave went back and forth on which character was the proper sovereign or the most based: civilized Ralph, tribal Jack, or technocrat Piggy.
