#Lesson_of_the_day Have you ever noticed how unconsciously we do things? Have you ever paused and saw pattern with your preference? We make choices from what looks familiar. Sometimes what looks familiar isn't healthy. Your body gets used to of things when they are repeated often: the amount of chaos and stress you experience, things you tolerate, amount of love you constantly receive... Unconsciously what is familiar would be interpreted as safe like home. But what if that home was chaos? Then peace would feel like boring, you crave for people or things that put you on edge that trigger you, you would chase for butterflies than peace. Unlearning this system might take time because it became instnict for us, but one way you can be conscious is asking yourself “Am I trusting this person because of what I'm used to and my old patterns, or because they are actually doing the healthy, logically sound things a healthy person would do?” @lidsverse

Most of you ask me how i balance pharmacy and tech. My life is like as you see here. My schedules always conflict and i have to choose which one i have to sacrifice this time. Ngl it is not fun place to be cause you will be candle burning from both sides. One is your passion the other is your career. You will feel sad for both because you can't give them 100%. I have got 3 more years to go idk what will happen after that. Till i graduate my life will require me to be the best secretary for myself and always trying to resolve schedule conflicts @lidsverse

Heaven's case still haunts me. I remember signing a petition back then too. However, our legal system seems to misunderstand that it is only her who had been wronged. This is the least we can do. 👀lesson of the day(of backend guys) The Failure-tolerant systems Let’s say you have a Telegram bot. Telegram sends an event to your server through a webhook, and your worker is responsible for processing that event. Now imagine your worker receives the event, but something fails while processing it. If your system simply tells Telegram, “Yep, I got it ✅” before the processing is actually completed, Telegram assumes everything went fine. Your worker failed, but the event is already considered handled. Now you’ve lost the event 🤧😁 Sure, Telegram may keep updates available for some time, but your application logic shouldn’t depend on that as a recovery mechanism. Your system should be designed so that a temporary worker failure doesn’t mean permanent data loss. That’s where queues come in. Instead of: "Webhook → Worker → if worker fails, event is gone "💀 You can do: "Webhook → Queue → Worker → Process" The queue acts as a buffer between receiving an event and processing it. If the worker crashes, fails, or needs to restart, the event can remain in the queue and be processed again. That’s basically the idea behind building a failure-tolerant system: assume things will fail, and design the system so failures are recoverable. For my current setup, I’m using Supabase for pretty much everything so they have Supabase Queues (via some pg db extension ) As they say pg db for all since supba is on top of it supba for all😁

#Lesson_of_the_day Don't underestimate little things happening in your day. They might look negligible but at some point their pile up affects you more than one huge incident. Let's say you listened bad news, someone spilled coffee on you, long taxi line,... Then when you got home there was no electricity. You will be infuriated and express your anger aggressively. If you ask yourself "was the absence of electricity alone made me this angry?" The answer is no. Sometimes we're not angry about the last thing that happened. We're angry about everything that happened before it, too. Unprocessed emotions always find a way to surface @lidsverse

#Lesson_of_the_day Hyperindependence comes with curse. It makes you think you can hold the whole world on your shoulder. You will do anything and everything by yourself. It makes you distant, convince you that asking for help is a death sentence. You forget the fact that if you want to be giver you need to learn to be a receiver too. Relationship with people needs some level of vulnerability. Like Admiting when you can't hold it together, asking someone to be with you when you are sick, asking for help when you are lost and sharing thoughts that keep you at night. Hyperindependence could make you lonely while surrounded with people. everyone would assume you are strong and have everything figured out. And perhaps that's the cruelest part of the curse: you can spend your whole life being the person who holds everyone else's hands, only to realize that you never learned how to let someone hold yours
