Background: Deloitte+SBI+ESIC Currently working as ESIC SSO, 10th to go Seating arrangement: F1+Singhal Sir+Chairman+M1+M2+M3 Soon as I entered Singhal Sir started bombarding me with questions Your career graph is confusing, why leave Deloitte and join SBI, you were working in Deloitte as a Data Analyst, that is an upcoming field? Difference between Data Analyst and Business Analyst, comparison of scope of work Why leave Deloitte for SBI? What does Public Sector Have that Private Sector doesn’t? Is profitability bad? Does a private worker not contribute to social change? What is a Bank? What relation does RBI have with Banks? Under what statute is it mentioned that RBI is regulator of Banks? Is being the regulator the core function of RBI? When did BR Act come into the picture? If RBI was established in 1935 and the power to regulate was given to it in 1949, would you still say Regulation of Banks is the core function? What functions did RBI have when it was established in 1935? Who was performing these functions before RBI? Why were these functions taken from Imperial Bank, was the Imperial Bank not performing its functions properly? What experience have you gained in all these years which will be helpful in RBI? Shift to M3: Across the spectrum, which sector is more efficient, Public or Private? Which sector do external investors look at before investing in the country? Why do we need external investments? What is the drawback of public sector? Compare promotional aspects of Public Sector vs Private Sector? Are employees fired for not working in PSBs, what about Private Sector? Do you now realize you’re contradicting your initial statement, do you still believe Public Sector Enterprises are more important? (don’t remember the exact question, but he was trying to get into my head that in answering all these questions, I had contradicted my earlier opinion of the critical role of PSEs) Why do you still believe PSEs are required? Who owns Rupay? What about NPCI? What does minimum government maximum governance mean to you, I don’t want the Government’s version, what does it mean to you? What are Labour Law Reforms? Why are they required? Is it only about what you said or is it more than that? Shift to M2: (I had mentioned Chess as my interest) 44th Chess Olympiad took place recently, what was India’s position in Mens and Womens Section? What is the King’s Gambit? In all your work experience, what is the most challenging thing that you’ve done? (Some further questions on this) Shift to M1: Have you heard about Market Risk that Banks face? What is it? Is it only related to a Bank’s interest in Capital Market or more than that? Singhal Sir intervening: Do you think Bank’s should invest in capital market? What are your opinions on the same? Does ESIC invest its fund in capital market? Shift to M1 once again: You’ve worked in SBI, recently there was a report which mentioned that SBI should be the only PSB in the country. In case that is implemented, tell me two positives and two negatives from SBI’s perspective? Shift to F1: What was your work in Deloitte? What is the Mahanet project? (related to my work in Deloitte) What is the Bharatnet project? (related to my work in Deloitte) Confidentiality is an important aspect of these projects, what measures to ensure data confidentiality were you following? What was your work in SBI? What is the PIDF Scheme? Why has RBI all of a sudden gotten interested in subsidizing this? What is the reason? Shift to Chairman Sir: I’ll ask only one question; it has to be a concise answer in just 3 points: Monetary Policy and Fiscal Policy, their correlation and their role in India’s growth (Don’t remember the exact question but something along these lines) Okay you can leave.
