Roger Spurr gave us the term 'Mudfossils' to describe the mind-blowing fact that geology is hardened biological remains 🦶 He hopefully will be joining us here but in the meantime show him support on his YouTube , watch his videos and ask him questions.

  • https://youtu.be/GtMEaHzZ0Ng?si=MA3LGGQnbOVTFFi1 " What do you think created Devils Tower in Wyoming? Look carefully at the blocks and the wrinkle surface that is peeling from the blocks......WHY is that happening? ....also look at the top edge and see a scruffy section at the top edge which is also a wrinkle zone and I can explain Exactly how this formed. Its all about the DETAILS in the DEVILS TOWER......... Geologists say it is Magma that turned into these blocks with this wrinkly looking Scale on it but i disagree. And here is why........ Leave a comment what you think please and please share thumb up etc...Big Love." Roger Spurr

  • https://newatlas.com/biology/worlds-oldest-skin-reptile-dinosaur/ I'll admit my heart leapt when I read this part.. ---‐------ The fossils were discovered in Richards Spur, ***(obviously i thought of Roger Spurr 👀) a limestone cave system in Oklahoma, by fossil hunters Bill and Julie May. This location may have been the key to how the skin was preserved so well for so long. “Animals would have fallen into this cave system during the early Permian and been buried in very fine clay sediments that delayed the decay process,” said Ethan Mooney, first author of the study. “But the kicker is that this cave system was also an active oil seepage site during the Permian, and interactions between hydrocarbons in petroleum and tar are likely what allowed this skin to be preserved.” The specimens will be housed at the Royal Ontario Museum, where further study could reveal more insights into the skin of ancient animals. ‐----- Ethan Mooney isn't the first author but as we know Roger has never wanted accolades just the truth out there being discussed as the WOW it truly is . Would very much like him to have the recognition though as that's fair do's eh !

  • https://t.me/ioanima/37101?single This has 2 shorts showing some glorious Mudfossils ,the description saying it's a tree is unfortunate but nonetheless it's great to see eyes on these phenomenal remains!

  • https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cn44d88gdj3o.amp The Gaping Gill cave system is one of the longest and most complex in the UK, below the moors near Ingleborough. Bradford Pothole Club has set up a winch to allow non-cavers to be taken into the chamber between 25 and 31 May. The main shaft is about 365ft (111m) deep, which is the same height as St Paul's Cathedral.

  • They are slowly catching up to Roger Spurr's awesome findings ! I did chuckle him saying "never been found" and "potentially more". I wonder how long it'll be before they find the big ones 😂 ------------------ “The fossil truly is a hidden gem,” said University College Cork palaeontologist Dr Zixiao Yang. “What is really surprising is the chemistry of the fossil skin. It is composed of silica – the same as glass. This type of preservation has never been found in vertebrate fossils. There are potentially many more fossils with hidden soft tissues awaiting discovery." https://www.iflscience.com/hidden-gem-fossil-of-dinosaur-skin-preserved-like-glass-reveals-it-had-scales-and-feathers-74317
