It was refreshing to see them step up and showcase what they've learnt. RS Showcase — Open for Registration 📅 Date: 9 August 2026 🕒 Time: 3 PM – 4 PM 📍 Venue: RSL Funan, 107 North Bridge Road, #04-10 Funan, Singapore 179105 This showcase is open to all students. You do not need to be taking Rockschool exams to participate. Whether you're learning for leisure or preparing for grades, everyone is welcome on stage. This is a great opportunity to step out of the classroom and gain real performance experience. It helps build confidence, stage presence, and musical growth in a fun and supportive setting. Performance Guidelines - All pieces should be from the Rockschool (RSL) repertoire ➡️Premiere, Debut, Grades 1–4: Up to 2 songs ➡️Grades 5–8: 1 song How to Register Submit your details via the form: go.mds.sg/rsshow Spots are limited, so secure your slot early. Performing in a live setting makes a big difference in a student’s progress. Don’t miss the chance to be part of it.

Calling all MDS students to showcase their skills and passion this August at our Kallang Wave Mall performance for the National Day celebrations. 🗓 Date: Saturday, 1 August 🕒 Time: 6 PM – 8 PM 📍 Location: Atrium @ Kallang Wave Mall Do take note that this is held at the Atrium of Kallang Wave Mall, rather than the big stage at OCBC Square. You may refer to the image above for an idea of how it looks. It's from one of our previous performances there. Performing in front of an audience is one of the best ways to grow as a musician. It builds confidence, sharpens focus, and gives you something to work towards. Here's how to join: Pick Your Song: This is a solo performance. NDP songs are preferred, but any song you enjoy and feel confident with works. It must be under 4 minutes, free of explicit content, and available on Spotify. A wonderful afternoon at our RS Showcase on 31 May 🎶 It was a pleasure watching our students take the stage and share what they have been working on. From first-time performers to those with more experience, every performance reflected the dedication and effort put in during their lessons. A big thank you to our educators for their guidance and encouragement, and to our parents and students for the continued support and commitment throughout the learning journey. 🥁 ROCKSCHOOL DRUM EXAM: WHAT TO EXPECT 🥁 Here is the official walkthrough for your upcoming RSL drum exam so you know exactly what to expect on the day! @mydrumschool

To Exam Candidates Bring your: 1) Original Rockschool Grade Book 2) Drumsticks 3) Appointment Slip (MDS Room App > Events) 4) Candidate IC / Student Card You will be asked: 1) Title of your 3 pieces you will be performing in order 2) If your playback tracks would include vocals and click (By default, MDS uses both) 3) If you are doing Sight-Reading or Improvisation 4) For Grade 6-8, you will be asked the type of Stylistic Studies The Image is a sample of the Exam Slip you will receive at the Registration Counter. You will pass this slip to the examiner when you enter the examination. All the best! 🫡
