Hello everyone, The recent happenings in ORN has shook the Nation to the core. It's deeply disturbing to see so many deaths, helplessness of the aspirants community and plight of their loved ones searching for their children in flooded conditions. Our heart goes out to the ones who lost their lives💔, to those who faced such a dreaded situation and also to the ones who are in ORN and nearby areas and couldn't go home due to various reasons including the upcoming mains. I request everyone of you to show solidarity in these tough times. For those writing mains, kindly do not take extreme stress about the examinations. Also, if facing any kind of security issues can shift to their homes( if possible) or stay at their rooms for preparation or writing the mains tests. Remember, जान है तो जहां है. Take care, everyone.🙏

Strategy I followed for GS-3 paper- Indian Economy and related topics, Inclusive growth and Issues, Government budgeting- Made basic understanding from Mrunal Sir's notes, supplemented the dynamic knowledge with Newspapers, Mains 365 notes, Yojana, Economic Survey and Budget( covered by Mrunal Sir) Cropping pattern and related topics along with subsidies,PDS, etc- Vision's value added material( will upload on the channel itself)- Mrunal Sir's notes, Mains 365, Geography NCERTs, Selective topics under Yojana and Kurukshetra. Food processing and related topics- Vision IAS value added material ( will upload on channel) along with Mains 365, Mrunal Sir's notes. Land reforms- Sociology NCERT class 12th, Current affairs. Effects of liberalisation on Indian Economy, Infra, Investment models- Mrunal Sir's notes, Mains 365, NITI Aayog's document, Various committee reports( Rakesh Mohan committee, etc) Science and Technology- Basic understanding can built through referring the NCERTs, Current affairs through Mains 365, IE articles. Environment related topics- PMF IAS material, Geography NCERTs, Mains 365, IE articles. Disaster and Disaster management - NCERT for disaster management, Mains 365, Geography NCERTs, IE. Internal Security- Build basic concepts through Ashok Kumar Sir's book, then Referred to Vision IAS material, Mains 365, IE. Paper-3 is more about putting in greater arguments along with appropriate usage of data, Case studies, reports recommendations and innovative models to provide dynamicity to the content. Along with this, I found mapping, Flowcharts, diagrams, timeline charts come to my rescue in case I found the shortage of space and Time. Additionally, I used the mention of schemes, initiatives already taken and in conclusion, I usually wrote Way forward so as to provide holistic look to the answer. And lastly, going through PYQs and related themes provides the apt direction to this dynamic paper.

How I managed to boost my GS-II score from 103 in CSE 2020 to 124 in CSE 2023? Identifying most important themes- Federalism, Separation of powers, RPA, Quasi judicial bodies and others that are mentioned in the Syllabus. I prepared static part from NCERTs, Polity and then supplemented it with the contemporary issues from Mains 365, Sunya IAS, Newspapers. Comprehensive use of Constitutional Articles, Committee reports( ARC, Punchhi, Sarkaria, NCRWC, NITI Aayog etc) to provide credibility to my arguments. I used SUNYA IAS material for complementing the traditional sources ( Lakshmikanth, Atish Mathur Sir's Polity and Governance notes) Use of Data where needed- In Polity and Governance qs majorly. Extensive use of Current affairs- Through IE Explained section( To the point and unbiased) Interlinked Governance, Civil services etc part with Ethics( through case studies, quotes, theories, stakeholders approach) Welfare schemes, institutions and bodies- Write the prevailing schemes, associated loopholes, way forward. Also wrt Poverty, Hunger, Human resources qs- I connected the dots with GS-3 material ( Mrunal Sir's notes, Social issues section from Mains 365) IR related questions- PYQs and associated questions. Made a framework for institutions such as UN, WHO, UNHRC, etc and more specifically from those in news. Then supplemented it with Mains 365, Newspapers. I tried to keep a note on Bilateral relationships Comprehensively. ( Refer to the Outline for mains file shared on the channel) Answer writing technique- ✍ Keep your intro( Use Constitutional articles, Context, definition, data etc) and conclusion ready( SDG, Ethics theory, Committee recommendations, Case study etc) ✍ Body part- Keep it dynamic through writing in point, tabular format ( where needed), Flowcharts or timelines( where possible) ✍In IR related questions- Take a balanced point of view, Give data to provide authenticity, can link the historical and contemporary scenario.
