- 5 авг.I'm sitting in one of well-known public hospitals in Addis, waiting with my mother for her turn. The waiting room is full. The queue is too long. And everyone here knows this isn't an unusual day.. this is simply how it is, every single day. As I looked around, one thought kept coming to my mind: ጥቁር አንበሳ has much more visitors than ቀበና ፓርክ imagine, If this is the situation in the capital city, what are people in smaller cities and rural areas going through? Healthcare shouldn't feel like winning a lottery for real. A person shouldn't have to wait for months just to receive a diagnosis or spend an entire day in a queue hoping their name will finally be called. When we talk about sustainable development, we often celebrate new parks, beautiful public squares, and impressive infrastructure. Those things might have value. But what is the benefit of driving on a wide road if your mother cannot receive timely medical care? What is the value of another decorative/continues fountain when hospitals are overwhelmed and patients are waiting for hours, or even months for basic services? A country's greatest investment is not concrete. It's its people. That's why I believe health and education should always be the highest priorities. A healthy and educated population creates economic growth, innovation, and stability. The reverse is much harder to achieve.9,26%

- 10 авг.A friend of mine got his phone stolen, and apparently that wasn’t a good enough excuse to stop replying to my Telegram messages So I built TeleLite , a small, self-hosted Telegram client for feature phones. The problem is that just telling someone to “use Telegram Web” doesn’t really work on these phones. Modern Telegram Web relies heavily on JavaScript and a pretty heavy web app, which is a lot to ask from an old Java phone or a low-power device. You can access Telegram through: A lightweight web client A J2ME .jar app for old Java phones A KaiOS app(not tested because the emulator didnt work well) It’s text-only, lightweight, and designed for those “my smartphone is lost/stolen/broken” situations god forbid 😭 It might actually come in handy someday, so take it, self-host it, break it, improve it, whatever.
