[Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) – Saraca Hall] Hi Saracies! Saraca Hall Council will be holding an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) to present and vote on proposed changes to the Saraca JCRC portfolio structure. The proposed restructuring aims to create a more sustainable JCRC structure such that future JCRC members are better able to manage their council-related responsibilities alongside their academic and personal commitments. The proposed changes can only be implemented if they are approved through a majority vote by our residents. Proposed Changes: 1. Restructuring of the Special Projects Officer (SPO, 9 points) role into two separate roles: - Orientation Chairperson (7 points) - Community Involvement Project (CIP) Leader (7 points) 2. Addition of a new subcommittee role under the Welfare Portfolio: - Assistant Welfare Director (7 points) If you are a current Saraca resident, we strongly encourage you to attend the EGM to: - Understand the proposed changes - Hear the rationale behind them - Raise any questions or concerns - Cast your vote This is an opportunity for you to have a direct say in the future structure of Saraca JCRC.
