Hello Network Marketers! A gentleman named Jim posted this in the group: "Tim, getting ready to make cold calls, and before getting started to pick up the heavy phone i came across your post. While i was really just looking to procrastinate, after I read your post, it made me realize, the faster I get the repetitions in, the easier it will get and the better I will feel about myself and my goals. Thank you! Gotta get to work!" I then replied this: My successful actions are: 1hr time blocks + target quantity (number of outreaches), this keeps me from wasting time with long conversations. Also, I know I'm prospecting (booking appointments), not presenting. I keep them separate. Another member of the chat, Carl requested me talk more about this. I decided this would be valuable to all, here's my reply: Time Block 3 sessions - no interruptions; no text msgs, no social media, no knocks on the door. If you can't do 3hrs, do 2, if you can't do 2, do 1, if you can't do 1, do 1/2 of 1. I treat it like I'm sprinting 100 yards on each OUTREACH. I want to find people who are currently dissatisfied with something - their company, income, time, fun, etc. Also, are they looking for something NOW? If they are not dissatisfied or looking now, I'm quick to close the conversation, professionally. I go to the next call immediately. With the prospect I'm not rushing. I'm fully INTERESTED in what the prospects NEEDS or WANTS. So when people ask me what do I say... I "say" very little until I know what they need and/or want. I always use Communication Qualities and the Inviting Formula: 1. Greet (get them to talk openly and freely) 2. Qualify (find out what they need/want) 3. Invite ( video or zoom) 4. Close to Action (video or zoom). 5. Handle any questions/objections when they come up. Then I return to the step (1-4) I was on and continue with that step until I move to the next step. Example: Step 3, I invite to a zoom. The prospect asks, "Is this NWM?" I reply and handle the question. Then I resume to Step 3 and continue to get them on a zoom. Then I move to Step 4: to close to action - confirm that they will meet me on the zoom at the scheduled time. All of the Inviting Formula training is in the recorded Professional Inviter that includes live calls with prospects, Objection handling, Follow-up protocol, Communication Qualities and much more. I most often hear people say, "Yeah, I listened to Pro Inviter." I typically reply, "Did you drill it until you can't do it wrong?" Here's your reference to "Drill it until you can't do it wrong" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-z5ls2XGWY&t you can stop at 25:09 I've only put out a couple of tools. Because I only do a couple of things to earn high-six to seven-figure income for 37 straight years in a row (eighteen of those years I didn't build but still earned high-six to seven-figure income). Why so many people struggle or don't earn what they want, baffles me. But I've learned that people prefer to stop themselves. There's no reason to go into why they prefer to stop themselves; they've simply decided to. They can, whenever they want, change that decision. If you are scared to go outbound, you have decided to stop yourself. It's not the industry, or the company, or your upline or your downline. You are stopping the inflow of money. Every business will remove a sales rep who isn't acquiring customers. Every business will remove an HR person who isn't acquiring new sales reps. You can make it complicated; yet it is simple. PUT A PERSON IN FRONT OF A PRESENTATION. If you think that is hard, it is. If you think that it is easy, it is.
Happy holidays to each and every one of you. The last two days, I’ve been setting my goals, breaking them down into the exact actions required to achieve them, and locking those actions into my calendar. At one point, the list felt heavy. Like, this is going to be a lot of work heavy. And then—about five seconds later—I smiled. Literally smiled. Alone in my office. Because I realized something important. By pushing through that internal resistance, I expanded. Not my body. Me. The part of me that decides. The part that leads. Most people never get past that moment. I’ve heard the average person abandons a goal within two or three weeks. Whether that stat is true or not doesn’t matter. What matters is why it happens. Resistance shows up. The work feels heavy. And instead of expanding… most people retreat. Here’s a simple example. My nine-year-old son recently got a pony. One of his jobs is carrying a five-gallon bucket of water from the spigot to the corral—about 150 yards. He told me he couldn’t do it. “It’s too heavy.” I told him, “It’s heavy now. But if you carry it every day, you’ll get stronger—and one day it won’t be.” I had him fill the bucket about a quarter full. Just heavy enough that he had to work for it. He dragged it. Struggled. Complained. “Dad, it’s too heavy.” I asked him one question: “Does Pablo need water?” “Yes.” I said, “Then that’s all that matters. Keep going.” I also told him something I hope he never forgets: “Struggle isn’t a sign you’re failing. It’s a sign you’re growing.” Did he complain? Of course. Did I feel bad? No. Because growth doesn’t come from comfort. Goals aren’t achieved without growth of the individual. That day, it took him about five trips. Now it only takes two. He didn’t change the goal. He expanded himself to match it. And this isn’t really about physical strength. It’s about this: When you fully confront what’s required—and decide to do it—the work gets lighter because you expanded. When you stay stuck in a mental tug-of-war (do it vs. don’t do it), everything feels heavier than it needs to be. Your body will resist Your mind will negotiate based on prior failures. But once YOU decide, the struggle ends—and growth begins. If what it takes to achieve your goals feel heavy, that’s not a warning sign. That’s you debating whether you want to expand, stay the same or contract. Lean into it. So, when I smiled in my office all alone, it was because I had just embraced the quantity of actions to achieve my goals. Next is building the habits and doing the large quantity of repetitions. Then, it becomes - WHO I AM. P.S. This is a secret, evidently.
The key to residual income in network marketing (or any business) is having lots of customers who buy your products month after month. Maybe you got those customers; maybe your downline got those customers… but at the end of the day, you need repeat customers. That means they must LOVE your products, they're seeing actual results, and that they don’t want to be without them. So your goal isn’t to make that first sale to someone. It’s to make the second sale.
Question answered. Hello NWM Power followers: Rudolph's question: In your opinion what is a good ratio in prospecting? How many NOs do you typically work through to get a YES? How many YES's get serious about the journey and turn it into a worthwhile income? My answer: I started with 22 people see the presentation = 1 that joined. I had NO skill, no knowledge, no results, no money. After a few months moving quantity of leads I cut that average in half to about 10-12 people to see presentation 1 joined. Some skill, knowledge, results, a little money (like $1,000). Today I show 6 the presentation, get 1. Because I now have great skill, knowledge and results. Happy Monday everybody! Got a BRAND NEW VIDEO for you that just went live. I want to thank everyone for your comments and feedback on what your biggest lead generation problems are. Today we’re solving them, one by one… LINK: https://youtu.be/Sx1EkNjRwIE
NEW VIDEO - This is the #1 reason people are not generating leads in network marketing. After 34 years in the industry, I can tell you with confidence, you will never build an empire if you don't understand (and execute) this. It comes down to establishing lead generation as a top (vital) priority. No matter what company you’re in - everybody has to generate leads. So how do you do that? What are the steps? I’m going to introduce you to the Eisenhower Matrix - and how it relates to network marketing and generating leads. Click the link below to watch! LINK: https://youtu.be/oiRCvZMUe_I P.S. - There’s a couple of questions at the end of the video that I’d love you to answer in the comments if you would. If we can “unlock” lead gen for people, it could change the entire perception of our industry, and how people go about it. Thanks in advance!
NEW VIDEO - Not generating enough leads in your business? Today I'm going to walk you through 3 reasons why, and how to become aware of what the problem REALLY is (so you can fix it). This can be YOU aren't generating a lead (therefore you're not able to build a team)... … or YOUR TEAM is not able to build a team (because they don't know how to generate leads). Either way, this is one of those fundamentals where you've got to solve the problem yourself, and then you've also got to solve the problem for your representatives -- your teammates. LINK: https://youtu.be/8qJoFgecN8I In the video, I’m asking a couple of questions. Please drop your answers in the comments, because I'm going to come back and help everyone solve ALL these problems in the weeks ahead.
Does the FTC have too much power? They can effectively destroy any company in their crosshairs by simply freezing their accounts. No trial required. What happens when the FTC decides your company is next? Does this ruling mean change is coming? Here’s Part 2 of my interview with MLM attorney James Colvin. 👉 https://youtu.be/zWIUxHYqV3w
NEW VIDEO - Direct Selling News (DSN) sent waves through the industry last month with their article on a recent Supreme Court case, suggesting they have ruled to limit the FTC’s powers. Could that really be true? I paid a lawyer to go through the court docs from "Axon v. FTC" and "SEC v. Cochran" and give us his legal opinion. Many in the network marketing and direct sales industries feel the FTC and SEC have been particularly brutal in how they deal with companies in their crosshairs, penalizing and extracting money from companies such as Herbalife, Vemma, AdvoCare and others... arguing there's no way for them to get a fair trial in the current system. Does this ruling mean change is coming? Watch this👇 https://youtu.be/OterTP2wFD4 (As always, thanks in advance for liking and commenting. I’m sure you guys have an opinion on this one!)
NEW VIDEO - Today I'm going to recap for you 3 things you MUST know in order to generate leads, to build a list/audience, as well as what to present to your prospects for best results. It's not about a magic phrase you always use. It's about knowing your prospect better. This is my “grand finale” summary of the awareness and sophistication levels of your market. If you want to get more customers, close more sales, and recruit more reps in network marketing, these are the foundational skills you need. 👇️️️️️️LINK: https://youtu.be/o2dDaCkqi7s
NEW VIDEO - Today I'm going to take you through an actual prospecting call I had two days ago where the prospect had some big concerns about network marketing. I'm going to show you (1) how I organize and do these calls, (2) how I handle objections, and (3) how I use the awareness level and the sophistication level of the prospect to communicate with them for maximum results. In short, I’m putting it all together for you — everything we’ve been talking about for the past few months. If you want to win in business, to have better phone calls with leads, and ultimately more network marketing success, study this video in detail. This is exactly how I do it, start to finish. ⬇️ LINK: https://youtu.be/vPHltQfP1Dc
NEW VIDEO - How to Stand Out From the Competition (Level 5) The consensus in the Network Marketing industry is for everyone to use the same prospecting tool for every lead. "You're just sifting people to see who shakes out," they say. But I challenge that! And you should too. By analyzing your market, you avoid selling a tired, old message that won’t resonate with your target customers. We can do a much better job, and in tomorrow’s video I'm going to show you how. I'm going to dive in and show you a concept that flat out works (even if you're 5th in the market). This concept, as you will see, works so well that it has lasted now for over 100 years, and I’ve got the data to prove it. https://youtu.be/KH8lzvLCCK0 👆WATCH IT HERE You can go there now and set a reminder for when it comes out tomorrow morning.
