This book is the first revised permanent exhibition since the Manhyia Palace Museum was set up in 1995, and it commemorates Asante's historical adversities: the 150th anniversary of the 1874 British invasion, the centenary of the return of Prempeh I as well as the celebration of the silver Jubilee of Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
