- 19 февр.Okay, I've called the explanatory team :) As you know, encrypted voice signals are not played back on Uniden scanners. Ever. You can only hear it in rare cases when the scanner fails to recognize that the voice is encrypted. Sometimes this is inconvenient, sometimes you want to hear the encrypted voice so that you can at least get the signal parameters (frequency, group, color code, protocol) because when scanning, the scanner will simply skip this signal and continue scanning. In my case, this is critical, because I need the scanner to voice the voice so that I can intercept and decrypt voice packets before sending it to AMBE/IMBE codec. As you remember, my main goal is to decrypt encrypted voice packets. Whistler has a special option where encrypted voice can be passed through, voiced, or replaced with periodic tone signals. This is a very good and correct option for the user. I don't know why Uniden didn't use it. Perhaps there are some patent restrictions, perhaps it somehow affects trunk scanning, perhaps something else. I want to make it in the user firmware like Whistler's. I'm not sure about the periodic tone signal, or rather, I want to implement it too, but later. But this only applies to signals for which no key and encryption algorithm are set. If the key and algorithm are set, then the signal is always decrypted and played back. In firmware versions 1.99.XX, I hard-coded the values in the firmware, and encrypted signals were ALWAYS played. Now I am changing the architecture so that it can be configured. This requires a complete overhaul of the architecture of the patches applied to the official firmware. In addition, this complicates the patches and increases their size, but what wouldn't you do to make everything beautiful and convenient? I am still at the very beginning of the road with the new architecture, as was the case with BCD436HP two years ago, but I have a lot of drafts and I hope that the new user firmware will take into account many of the points that you requested, but I did not have the opportunity to implement. For now, these will be experiments on the SDS150, as it interests me the most, but in the future I will transfer the innovations to older scanner models as well. The video shows three separate transmissions of an encrypted Hytera BP signal. In the first two cases, the scanner is silent and shows that the signal is encrypted. In the last case, I used a debug command to make the scanner play the encrypted voice. There is one note: the playback of the encrypted voice and the display of ENCRY are linked; if the voice is played and it is encrypted, ENCRY is not displayed.
