- 3 авг.📊 TRIBE MARKET NOTE Crypto is on the table when Tribe meets on 11 August 🗓️ Ahead of that, a summary of crypto.news reporting on last Wednesday's Fed decision, and what a systematic trader would actually look at. Educational only, no recommendation on anything named. The Fed held at 3.5 to 3.75% on 29 July. Bitcoin moved 0.3%. The headline event did nothing. What's underneath is more interesting 👇 🌏 One price, two markets Bitcoin's Coinbase Premium stayed negative, meaning BTC traded at a discount on Coinbase relative to Binance. US spot demand was the weaker side. You will not find that in a single aggregated price. One reading tells you nothing on its own, but a premium that stays negative across weeks is a real observation about where the buying is coming from. 🧠 Sentiment is not independent confirmation Bitcoin sat around $64,100. Crypto Fear & Greed read 29, in "Fear." Tempting to call that price and positioning disagreeing. It isn't. The index is built largely from price momentum and volatility, so a stalled price after a drawdown produces a Fear reading by construction. Treat both as separate model inputs and you are counting the same information twice. ⛏️ "Crypto exposure" is not one number Strategy was reported up about 2%, while MARA, Riot and CleanSpark each fell about 6%. Worth being precise: crypto.news notes those miner declines began before the announcement, so this is not a clean Fed reaction. The structural point stands anyway. A leveraged treasury vehicle, an operating business carrying energy costs, and the spot asset are three different risk profiles wearing one label. ⚖️ The macro that does matter The rate hold split 9-3, with three regional Fed presidents reported as preferring a hike. The surprise risk cleared but moved to September. Worth tracking as a transmission channel into crypto, not as a crypto signal in itself. 💡 The point is not any single one of these. It is that crypto generates data equities do not: venue-level pricing, on-chain flows, funding rates, a tape that never closes. None of it means anything until you take a claim like the ones above, pull the history, and test whether it survives fees and slippage.
