Prayer pointers week 1 🙏🙏 1. Romans 1:1-17 📖 - Pray that God will humble our hearts ❤️ and help us listen to his word, so that we truly see the gospel as our greatest need! - Ask God to strengthen us by the gospel as we open up the book of Romans together this coming AY, that we may be growing in living out these truths! 2. Regen and NUS 🎓 - Praise God that the harvest in NUS is indeed plentiful! - Pray that in light of ReOrient and what we've seen about advancing the gospel, that we as fellow gospel partners would boldly proclaim it, striving side by side 🤝 and encouraging each other to press on amidst our fears or opposition 3. Regen ISM x Xuesheng Gardens by the Bay Tour 🌿🌿 - Give thanks for new international 🌍friends we made, we had over 10 guests who joined us! - Give thanks that one of us got to share how the gospel has saved us to one of our new friends. - Pray that we will keep welcoming international students, just as Christ welcomed us. - Pray that, as we continue to get to know our new friends, that we may have opportunities to give reasons for the hope that we have. - Pray that we will be intentional in following up with these new friends, and that we be bold to share with them why Jesus matters so much! - Pray that God will use these gospel words to give them new life and trust in Jesus. 4. SMUCF: - Pray for God to continue to send people into SMUCF through their CCA fair and their social media channels! - Pray for Paul to teach from Genesis 12 clearly and that the students would see that they are a ministry that teaches the word that is worth committing to! - Pray for their upcoming FOC (this week Fri-Sat), that attending students will be keen to listen to God's word, and pray for their students to be a big welcome to everyone, especially those who might be newcomers! 5. Singapore 🇸🇬 Thank God for keeping Christians in Singapore safe and free from persecution. - Pray that our government will continue to lead Singapore well and to maintain policies that allow us to live for Jesus and proclaim the gospel freely. - Pray that we will indeed live for Jesus and proclaim the gospel freely and boldly ❤️‍🔥, not being ashamed of it, but making good use of the opportunities in Singapore!

Xue Sheng conducts Bible Studies in Chinese here in NUS for students to learn about the life that Jesus gives, and equips you to do gospel ministry in Chinese! Prayer pointers Reading Week 🙏🙏🙏 Hi friends i hope as yall are studying really hard this week for your exams, to keep fixing your eyes upon Christ Jesus! Do be praying and committing all things to Him amidst the stresses and anxiousness of this period! we are praying alongside yall!!!😁 1. Exams and summer 🧑‍💻🌅 - Pray for grace and strength to push through the last leg of the semester. Pray that we we would rely on his grace that is sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:9), and in him through whom we can do all things (Phil 4:13). - Pray for the Regen summer activities (Regen Camp, book clubs, retreats) that they would be fruitful and restful for organisers and attendees alike. - Pray that we would submit our summer plans to God, making every decision with our time with wisdom under God and for God. - Pray that in the idleness of summer, we do not drift from the faith, but pay much closer attention to the great salvation we have received in the gospel (Heb 2:1-4). Pray that regen members would continue meeting to encourage and stir one another up to love and good works. 2. The Philippines 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭 - The Philippines was the first country in Southeast Asia to declare state of national emergency on 24 Mar after the blocking of the Strait of Hormutz due to the Iran conflict. - They import 95% of their oil from the Gulf, hence their vulnerability. As of Mar 20, the government said the Philippines had around 45 days of fuel supply and is procuring oil barrels to build its buffer stock. - Hundreds of transport workers in Manila went on a two-day strike on Mar 26 over rising fuel costs, with transport coalitions laying out sweeping demands including scrapping fuel taxes and abandoning deregulation. - Pray for wisdom on the part of leaders to find alternative sources of energy to keep their country running. - Pray for civil stability and peace that people would not anxiously stock up for themselves but act with calmness and consideration for others. - Pray for Christians in the Philippines that their hope would not be in their current national circumstances, but in him who created all things and upholds the universe by the word of his power.
