Today marks the 14th anniversary of the Rojava Revolution - a women's revolution, a people's revolution. A spark of hope and a flame of resistance in times of nationalism and war. A people building up their own institutions and defining their own way of a more free life. This spark glims until today and we congratulate all peoples, women and commemorate the martyrs, who payved the way so that we, the ones still struggling, have something to hold on and fight for.

Lêgerîn took part in the @nog7_2026 demonstration and conference held in Geneva this past weekend. As internationalist youth we marched to condemn the imperialist military and economic policy of world powers from all continents. In addition to this and converging with the feminist strike this 14th of June, together with our Kurdish comrades we supported the ongoing campaign #weareallypj defending the women of Rojava’s fundamental right to self-defense. The conference given by our speakers on the 13th, explored the place of democratic Kurdish and internationalist struggle facing what the movement describes as the Third World War, led in part by figures who attended the G7 Summit. War and destruction will not prevail. The task of building a democratic society for all peoples depends on the conscious action of our communities, and especially our youth!

As the women's collective from the Northwest region here in Brazil, and since the meeting in Abya Yala, we know that our struggle is one! We join the struggle of the women of Rojava, we reaffirm that it is our natural right to fight in defense of life, in defense of our bodies, and in defense of our territories. The struggle of the women of Rojava is also the struggle of the women of Abya Yala; it is also the struggle of all women who are in their territories, in the peripheries, fighting for the right to life for themselves, their children, and future generations. Therefore, we reaffirm that it is a natural right for women to fight for their territories and for their bodies. We are all in solidarity with the women of Rojava! 🌹On May 9, 2010, the Iranian regime brutally and unjustly hanged 5 Kurdish politicians and revolutionaries. The stance of the people of Eastern Kurdistan and the Kurdish people in general is important because the Iranian regime resorts to the death penalty is out of its own weakness. The stance of the executed martyr Shirin Alamhouli is influencing, stating that women and the entire Kurdish people must first take the necessary message from her. ✨The kurdish freedom movement names the month of May as the month of martyrs. Many members of the movement lost their lives during this month. Therefore, this month is a spirit of raising the struggle. Remembering the martyrs is for the continuation and victory of the struggle. The struggle has been raised at a high cost in the four parts of Kurdistan. ✊ Şehîd Tîjda Zagros (Kelly Freygang), coming from the German city Hamburg, fell one year ago in the Zagros Mountains because of a turkish airstrike. 🌻 She, Heval Tîjda, the woman that gives the sun, became a symbol of the internationalist struggle and within this a deep search for freedom. 🌹 Today, we remember her struggle, effort and sacrifice that she gave. We will continue her path as a free woman.
