Jai hind sabhi ko !! With around 15 days remaining I hope the preparation for mains is going on full throttle. My bit of advice for last 15 days : 1 Do not read any new information or pick a new source. 2 Focus strictly on revision of your short notes. 3 You can stop reading optional 10 days before and shift your focus entirely to Gs and essay. Because you will again get 5 days for full optional preparation. This is an individual choice and also depend on your optional subject. For technical optionals like maths physics it is better to shift to gs in last days. 4 Try to make concise notes of all subjects in these 10-15 days with the purpose of last revision in those 2 hours. It must only include very important information or value added points, short diagrams, things which you tend to forget etc. 5 You can give simulation of final mains exam - 3 days (essay +4 Gs) and in 1 day both the optional papers in exam like setting. This will help you in time management and to build stamina as writing 9 papers in 5 days is tedious and requires a lot of practice. 6.Focus more on your mental and physical well being now. This is the most important thing for now. Those 5 days require you to be in your best mental and physical state. 7 Align your sleep cycle with the exam timings. 8 A little physical exercise is good for remaining active throughout the day. 9 Remain positive and give your best in the upcoming days. Remember those who sweat more in practice bleed less in the final battle. 10 Lastly, I am proud of each one of you who has given their best and has worked tirelessly in last 2.5 months. Just be calm and maintain this attitude for this last 25 days or so and you will be good to go. Till then, Happy studying 😇 All the best comrades.✨ P.s. attaching a small token for you all- my brownie points for mains 😁

More importantly, Those who could not make it to the list. It is very hard to put this feeling into words. I myself failed one prelims and one mains. I know it’s not easy to see all your hard work going to drain. It shakes you from within. Your physical and mental health takes a toll. Trust me they are all genuine feelings and you should own them. But at the same time it is important to learn from it and get up again. This never give up attitude is what defines us(upsc aspirants). Take your own time. Cry , Talk to your friends and family. They love you and are proud of you irrespective of your results. And I for sure , am really really proud of you. Because you had the courage to take this exam and serve the nation when many cannot even think of it. Have faith that if you have right intentions and are ready to improve and work on your mistakes then you will be successful in life. The resilience which failure teaches makes the taste of success sweeter. And this setback is a preparation for your future life. So make the most of it. Just don’t give up because somebody else feels that you are not made for it. You alone can write your happy ending, if not through this exam then with something else. I reiterated these line that I wrote after my failure to myself- Jab aap haarte ho toh wo haar sirf Aapki hoti h Par jab aap Jeet te ho toh wo Jeet Sbki hoti h To is haar ko sabki Jeet me badalne ke liye ye haar jaruri h .. And remember गिरते हैं शहसवार ही मैदान-ए-जंग में, वो तिफ्ल क्या गिरे जो घुटनों के बल चले!! Yours Rochika Garg P.s. feel free to reach out if I could be of some help.

The people who supported you when nobody else could are the biggest gift of your life. Keep them safe. And remember it is just the first step that you crossed. Be humble.Focus on your ‘WHY’ and contribute positively in making our nation a developed one.😇 P.s.Now the real personality test begins 🙌🏻

*Prelims postponed* With prelims postponed by 20 days, don’t loose consistency. Take this as an opportunity to bridge gaps and prepare tough areas better. Solve and analyse PYQs- this is the most important part of prelims preparation. If you are a veteran , you can also give around 10 days to mains - optional / essay etc. But don’t loose track of prelims as it is the most competitive and uncertain stage of exam. All the best everyone. Happy studying ❤️
Thought of the day- You have to ‘grow through’ what you ‘go through’ . This thought has been with me for quite a sometime now so I thought of sharing it with you all too. It is true for both good and bad times in our lives. The bad or difficult times gives you more opportunity to grow, learn and evolve into someone better , stronger and mature. But even in good times you must continue to grow and learn. If you are able to handle both the times with equanimity and remain confident yet humble , you will be truly successful then. This was a small lesson which I learnt from my journey from being an aspirant to an officer. Happy studying ❤️
