2nd text by Okop Tactical: "Russophobia and Lawlessness in Finnish Prisons" Citizen of Russia Torden V.I. has been subjected to arbitrary and inhumane detention, held under investigation in one of Finland's strictest prisons. On the evening of September 19, 2025, guards and internal security service employees of the Riihimäki prison broke into the cell of Voislav Torden, located in the pretrial detention sector. Using physical force, the guards transferred Voislav to the disciplinary department, to a punishment cell, where Torden V.I. was placed in isolation. Despite repeated demands, the prison administration did not provide reasons justifying the isolation. Torden was given contradictory information: either about the intention to transfer him to another correctional institution, or that he was isolated on investigative grounds because a flash drive had been found in his possession. A stuffy and dusty cell, with no access to fresh air or daylight. At night, a street spotlight illuminates the cell, and there is no way to block it. There is no basic furniture; only a sleeping place and a sanitary point are available. Of all activities, only one hour per day outside the cell is allowed — a walk in a cage where one can pace back and forth. It should be added that Voislav's personal clothing, documents, and materials for the upcoming trial were taken from him. To make matters worse, Voislav was prohibited from topping up his prison account so that he could not purchase food, vitamins, and hygiene products from the prison store. The prison administration cited as the reason that Torden V.I. is under European Union sanctions, and he is prohibited from transferring money. Family members and lawyers requested permission to transfer funds directly to Voislav's prison store account, but they were denied this as well. As a result, Torden V.I. has no access to normal nutrition. His diet consists 80% of bread and water; there is no salt, no adequate amounts of dairy or meat products, and a severe deficiency of vitamins and minerals. All these circumstances and the unjustified isolation have adversely affected Voislav's health. His repeated demands for a doctor's visit and medical examinations were ignored, putting his physical condition at risk. It should be emphasized that Torden V.I. must be regarded as a pretrial detainee who has not yet been convicted. The previous court's decision has not entered into legal force due to the appeal. In January 2026, the trial begins, for which preparations are being made by Torden V.I.'s defense side. However, he himself was not provided with the case materials that he had access to in the pretrial sector of the Riihimäki prison. Thus, he was effectively prevented from participating in his own defense and independently preparing for the deadline to submit objections to the appeal. Early in the morning of October 3, 2025, without notifying Torden V.I., he was transferred to the prison in the city of Turku. He was given thin prison clothing: a long-sleeved shirt, tracksuit pants, and summer slippers on bare feet. He was transported in a prison van capsule where the heating was turned off, and the windows were covered so that no light penetrated inside. Throughout the three-hour journey, the escorts did not turn on the heating, and Voislav, shackled in handcuffs, froze with no way to do anything about it. In Turku, he was immediately placed in a single cell again for an unknown reason. The materials on the basis of which the Turku prison administration issued the decision on October 3, 2025, were classified from Torden, and despite repeated requests, they were also not provided to his defenders. In December 2023, the Supreme Court of Finland denied Ukraine's extradition request and ordered his immediate release from custody. At that point, V. Torden could have calmly left Finland, as he still had a valid residence permit and could easily travel to Saint Petersburg. However, he was immediately rearrested on a new pretext. Charges were brought against him for committing war crimes in 2014 on the territory of the Luhansk region. From that moment, Voislav Torden's situation can be interpreted as the status of a political hostage in the hands of NATO. After all, Finland became a member of the alliance and supports Kiev. One day before Vladimir Zelensky's visit to Finland, the court of first instance issued the harshest possible decision in the case of Voislav Torden. On March 14, 2025, he was sentenced to life imprisonment. The decision is politicized and has sparked a wave of criticism of Finland's judicial system. The Russian Foreign Ministry condemned the court's decision in this case. However, an appeal process has been launched at the moment, and the sentence has not yet entered into force. A modern manifestation of political persecution and discrimination on national, religious, and ideological grounds in Finland. All this can be seen in the example of Voislav Torden and the attitude of the Riihimäki prison administration toward the patches, which, in their opinion, instill fear and fright and pose a danger to order and security. Although, in essence, the same interpretation could apply to the flag of the Republic of Finland itself. Namely, the image of a white flag with a blue cross is used by certain extremist groups that exalt historical greatness and Christian heritage. These symbols are also often used by far-right groups that reject "Western values" and "democratic principles." These symbols are also employed by organizations associated with criminal activity. Thus, one could conclude that all patches with the Finnish flag should be immediately removed from the uniforms of guards in the Riihimäki prison. Moreover, all clothing from brands should be confiscated, as their logos also feature the Finnish flag. Which, by this logic, should also cause fear and horror among part of the population.

FEAR OF THE EMPIRE Voislav Torden, a Russian citizen and Russian patriot, is being held in custody in the city of Riihimäki, Finland, on charges of committing war crimes in the Lugansk People's Republic in 2014. This era is glorified by certain extremist groups; The double-headed eagle, a symbol of power, Orthodoxy, and Empire. Both symbols may suggest monarchist and imperial ideologies, as well as Russian nationalism, which exalts historical greatness and Orthodox legacy. These symbols are also often used by far-right groups that reject Western values and democratic principles." Furthermore, the Riihimäki prison administration explains its opinion regarding the emblem of the Okop store, which specializes in military equipment and uniforms for security forces. Quote: "The second patch represents a company called Okop Tactical. The patch features the Valknut rune, which is generally associated with right-wing ideology and groups. The use of this symbol is documented especially in nationalist and neo-Nazi content." "Voislav Torden denies any connections between these patches and criminal organizations or politically extremist groups." It should be noted that V. Torden previously lived in Norway. In 2014, he went from there to help the people of the LPR in their desperate struggle for existence and independence from the Kiev regime. Torden was one of the participants in the well-known volunteer group that defeated the Aidar battalion and the 80th brigade of the AFU on September 5, 2014. This battle was captured on video and quickly spread across the internet. As a result, Kiev's troops suffered losses in personnel and equipment, but more importantly, the army was demoralized and frightened by the successful and daring actions of the volunteers and the militia of the LPR and DPR. Later, V. Torden began to be called a hero and defender of the people of Lugansk. The Kiev authorities, however, launched an active hunt for Voislav with the aim of discrediting him and subsequent physical elimination. The persecution and threats continued beyond Donbass and Ukraine. At the end of 2016, the Norwegian authorities decided to deport Voislav with the wording in the deportation document: "Mr. Torden poses a threat to the security and stability of the Kingdom of Norway and is a political enemy of the state." However, this wording did not prevent authorities in other European countries from approving tourist visas several years later, and subsequently a residence permit in the Republic of Finland. V. Torden also has Scandinavian roots. His relatives live both in Russia and in neighboring northern countries. He continues to maintain relations with them, as he cares for a strong family. In August 2023, Finnish authorities placed V. Torden under arrest at the request of the Kiev authorities for extradition to Ukraine. There, he was accused of engaging in terrorist activities. Obviously, this referred to his participation in the volunteer group Rusich, which operated in defense of the people of the LPR and DPR in 2014-2015.
