  • 🗓 The Day of 'Ashura Ashura is the tenth day of the blessed month of Muharram, which falls on June 25 or June 26, 2026 (depending on the lunar sighting and regional authorities). Ibn Abbas narrates: The Prophet (ﷺ) came to Medina and saw the Jews fasting on the day of Ashura. He asked them about that. They replied, "This is a good day, the day on which Allah rescued the Children of Israel from their enemy. So, Moses fasted this day." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "We have more claim over Moses than you." So, the Prophet fasted on that day and ordered (the Muslims) to fast (on that day). (Al-Bukhari, Muslim) The Prophet (ﷺ) also said: "Fast the day of 'Ashura, and be different from the Jews with regard to it; fast the day before it or the day after it." (Ahmad) To summarize, it is recommended to fast the day of Ashura. It also recommended to fast a day before or after it.

  • 🔵 Remember to recite Takbir Tashriq during these 5 days 🔵 Takbir Tashriq consists of several phrases declaring the greatness of Allah, that He alone is worthy of worship, and that all praise belongs to Him alone. During five days of Dhul-Hijjah from 9th to 13th, reciting Takbir Tashriq is wajib after every fard prayer. The recitation begins after the Fajr prayer on the 9th of Dhul-Hijjah and ends after the Asr prayer on the 13th of Dhul-Hijjah. Text of Takbir Tashriq: اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ لَا إلَهَ إلَّا اللَّهُ وَاَللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَلِلَّهِ الْحَمْد Transliteration: Allaahu akbar, Allaahu akbar, laa ilaaha illallaahu, wallaahu akbar, Allaahu akbar, wa lillaahil-hamd. Rules related to this takbir: - Takbir Tashriq is obligatory (wajib) for both men and women. - It is wajib to recite it once after every obligatory prayer during the specified period. - The takbir should be recited immediately after the salam.

  • Alhamdulillah! 🗓 The ten days of Dhul-Hijjah are upon us! May 18th is the first day of the blessed month. May 26th is the day of Arafah (day 9).🔝 May 27th is Eid al-Adha (day 10)! 🎉 It's a very special time, let's use it to turn back to Allah and remember the eternal life ahead of us. The Prophet ﷺ is reported to say: “There are no days in which righteous acts are more beloved to Allah than in these days" [Bukhari] 'Arafah is a great day to fast and make lots of dua: “Fasting the Day of `Arafah expiates for two years, one prior and one forthcoming.” [Muslim] Finally, Eid is the day of celebration. It is also the day of sacrificing an animal if you can afford it. Please read about it here or inside the app in the Learn tab.

May Allah sustain us with the blessings of Ramadan throughout this year, enable us to keep the good habits and attitudes we've established, and bring us all to the next one in wellness, ease, and a state pleasing to Him! This morning mosques will be performing Eid Prayer, here is a guide on how it's done.

  • ❗️Remember to pay Sadaqat ul-Fitr before Eid Prayer Ramadan is almost over, inshaAllah we'll celebrate Eid very soon! ❤️ There is a special type of charity, we observe at the end of Ramadan. Ibn Abbas said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) enjoined Zakatul-Fitr as a purification for the fasting person from idle talk and obscenities, and to feed the poor. Whoever pays it before the (Eid) prayer, it is an accepted Zakah, and whoever pays it after the prayer, it is (ordinary) charity.” [Ibn Majah, 1827] Please read more about it here: https://www.namaz.live/fitr

  • Imam al-Tirmidhi narrates that ‘Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, if I know which night is Laylat al-Qadr, what should I say on that night?’ He said, ‘Say: اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي Allaahumma innaka عafuwwun tuhibbul-عafwa faعfu عannee. O Allah, You are forgiving and You love forgiveness, so forgive me.

  • Mercy, Forgiveness, and Salvation.

  • Here is an article on fasting, with the most frequently-asked questions. Please give it a read.

  • 🗓️ When Does Ramadan Begin? Assalamu alaikum! Depending on the sighting of the moon in your region, the first day of fasting may be tomorrow (February 18) or the following day (February 19). The general rule is that you begin and end your fast together with the Muslims of your locality. 🌙 Ramadan is the most blessed month of the year. It is the month of mercy, forgiveness, and the Qur’an. It is a time to increase in ‘ibadah, change our lives for better, and seek the pleasure of Allah. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: When Ramadan begins, the gates of Jannah are opened, the gates of Jahannam are closed, and the shayateen are chained. — Al-Bukhari and Muslim May Allah bless this Ramadan for all of us, enable us to fast it with sincerity, and accept it from us. Ameen.

  • as-salaamu 3alaikum! Ramadan is very close, it's only about two weeks away! In preparation, we are updating the Android version to make it catch up with iOS. For a long time, it was lagging behind as we didn't have a full-time Android developer. Alhamdulillah, most things are there now, only the Listen tab is left among the major features.

  • 🗓 The Day of 'Ashura | День Ашура Ashura is the tenth day of the blessed month of Muharram, which falls on July 5th this year. (Al-Bukhari, Muslim) The Prophet (ﷺ) also said: "Fast the day of 'Ashura, and be different from the Jews with regard to it; fast the day before it or the day after it." (Ahmad) To summarize, it is recommended to fast on the day of Ashura. It also a day before or after it. This means we can fast July 4th & 5th OR July 5th & 6th.
