  • ◾️Knowledge Is What Makes 'Ibaadah (Worship) Correct◾️ بســـم اللــه الرحــمــن الـرحـــيــم 📤 Benefit from the Shaykh Abu Ibraaheem Muhammad Ibnu Maani 'Al-Aanisi - may Allaah preserve him:  Knowledge Is What Makes 'Ibaadah (Worship) Correct or Valid 1 - Al-Qurtubi said, commenting on the saying of Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic: فَخَلَفَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ أَضَاعُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَاتَّبَعُوا الشَّهَوَاتِ “Then there has succeeded them a posterity who have given up As-Salaah (the prayers) [i.e., made their Salaah (prayers) to be lost, either by not offering them or by not offering them perfectly or by not offering them in their proper fixed times] and have followed lusts.” — Surah Maryam (19:59). "By the life of Allaah, one may indeed witness in reality a person who is pointed to [as a person of knowledge] and thought to possess 'ilm (knowledge), and is honored as such — yet in truth he pecks at his prayer like the pecking of a rooster [i.e., prays hastily and without tranquility], due to his ignorance of the hadeeth. So how, then, is the case with the ignorant masses who know nothing at all?" (1) 2 - Qaadi 'Iyaad said, in his commentary on the hadeeth of al-musee' salaatah (the man who prayed badly): "In it is [evidence] that the deeds of the ignorant person, performed in worship without knowledge, are not accepted [i.e. do not suffice/has not discharged the obligation]." (2) 3 - Al-Khateeb al-Baghdaadi commented on the statement of ar-Rabee' ibn Khaytham: "Attain fiqh (understanding of the religion), then withdraw [into seclusionn in worship]." He said: "[This is] because 'ibaadah (worship) is not valid except after tafaqquh (attaining understanding of the religion)." (3) Footnotes (1) Al-Jaami' li-Ahkaam al-Qur'aan (6/114), Daar al-Hadeeth edition. (2) Al-Fath (2/360), Daar as-Salaam edition. (3) Al-Faqeeh wal-Mutafaqqih (p. 111). A benefit: this is corroborated from the Sunnah by the statement of the Prophet ﷺ: عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ: مَنْ عَمِلَ عَمَلًا لَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ أَمْرُنَا فَهُوَ رَدٌّ "Whoever does a deed which is not in accordance with our affair [i.e. our religion] will have it rejected." They are a sect that follows the same course as the Jews in falsehood and kufr [disbelief]." — End of quote from Al-Fisal fi al-Milal wa al-Nihal. And 'Abdul-Qaahir al-Baghdaadi said: "We have not seen nor heard of any type of kufr [disbelief] except that we found a branch of it in the madhhab [methodology/doctrine] of the Raafidhah." — End of quote from Al-Farq bayna al-Firaq. He also said in the same source: "And this firqah [sect] is not from the sects of Islaam." — End of quote. And the Qaadhi [judge] Abu Bakr ibn al-'Arabi said: "Whoever declares the entirety of the Sahaabah [Companions] to be disbelievers, then he is a kaafir [disbeliever], because declaring them to be disbelievers necessitates the nullification of the Shari'ah [Islamic Law], since they are its foundation and from them it was taken." — Al-Furooq by al-Qaraafi, Volume 1, Page 246. Ibnu al-Qayyim - may Allaah have mercy on him - said: "If the deeds of the people of the Sunnah fall short, their 'aqaa'id [beliefs/creed] lifts them up. Whereas if the deeds of the people of bid'ah [innovation in the deen] try to raise them up, their 'aqaa'id [beliefs/creed] drags them down." Al-Ilaam Al-Muwaqi'in (5/595) by Ibnu al-Jawzee. 2. Imam Abu Bakrin al-Aajurree (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: "The scholars, past and present, have never differed that the Khawaarij are an evil people, disobedient to Allaah the Exalted and to His Messenger ﷺ. Even if they pray, fast, and strive hard in worship, that will not benefit them. And even if they manifest the enjoining of good and the forbidding of evil, that will not benefit them..." • ◾️Knowledge is the path to salvation◾️ بســـم اللــه الرحــمــن الـرحـــيــم 📤 Benefit from the Shaykh Abu Ibraaheem Muhammad Ibnu Maani 'Al-Aanisi - may Allaah preserve him: Knowledge is the path to salvation. For whoever wants to free himself from this innovation. He must follow the path of the Salaf. And he must turn toward beneficial knowledge. For knowledge is the cause by which a person distances himself from these innovations, newly introduced matters, and doubts. And the one who seeks knowledge is not like the one who turns away from seeking it. Whoever seeks knowledge, the doubts vanish from him. In contrast to the one who turns away from seeking knowledge. For he remains in ignorance until he meets Allaah, Glorified is He. So it is obligatory upon the Muslims to beware of ignorance. And to beware of innovations and newly introduced matters. _ Translated by : Abu Juwayriyah Nūruddīn ibn Sulaymān _ Source https://t.me/ShAbuIbrahimMuhammadManiAlAnisi/33

Abu Al-‘Abbaas Ahmad Ibnu Idrees, known as Al-Qirāfi رحمه الله said: (وَأَصْلُ كُلِّ فَسَادٍ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ إِنَّمَا هُوَ الجَهْلُ، فَاجْتَهِدْ فِي إِزَالَتِهِ عَنْكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتَ؛ كَمَا أَنَّ أَصْلَ كُلِّ خَيْرٍ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ إِنَّمَا هُوَ العِلْمُ، فَاجْتَهِدْ فِي تَحْصِيلِهِ مَا اسْتَطَعْتَ، وَاللهُ تَعَالَى هُوَ المُعِينُ عَلَى الخَيْرِ كُلِّهِ) “The root of every corruption in this world and the Hereafter is ignorance, so strive to remove it from yourself as much as you can. Just as the root of every good in this world and the Hereafter is knowledge, so strive to attain it as much as you can. And Allaah, the Most High, is the One who aids in all good.” Al-Furūq (4/1410). 7. “As it is known that knowledge is light, and Iblees beautifies for a person the extinguishing of the light so that he may overpower him in the darkness, and there is no darkness like the darkness of ignorance." Talbīs Iblees (289). 8. Ibnu Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah رحمه الله said: (فَمَنْ طَلَبَ العِلْمَ لِيُحْيِيَ بِهِ الإِسْلَامَ فَهُوَ مِنَ الصِّدِّيقِينَ، وَدَرَجَتُهُ بَعْدَ دَرَجَةِ النُّبُوَّةِ) “Whoever seeks knowledge in order to revive Islaam is among the most truthful (as-siddeeqīn), and his rank is after the rank of prophethood.” Miftaah Dār as-Sa‘ādah (1/396). 9. He رحمه الله also said: (وَالمَقْصُودُ أَنَّ اللهَ سُبْحَانَهُ يُحِبُّ أَنْ تُعْرَفَ سَبِيلُ أَعْدَائِهِ لِتُجْتَنَبَ وَتُبْغَضَ، كَمَا يُحِبُّ أَنْ تُعْرَفَ سَبِيلُ أَوْلِيَائِهِ لِتُحَبَّ وَتُسْلَكَ). “The intent is that Allaah, Glorified is He, loves that the path of His enemies be known so that it may be avoided and hated, just as He loves that the path of His allies be known so that it may be loved and followed.” Al-Fawā’id (p. 135). 10. Some of them said in poetry: مَــنْ حَازَ العِلْمَ وَذَاكَرَهُ صَلَحَتْ دُنْيَاهُ وَآخِرَتُهُ فَأَدِمْ لِلْعِلْمِ مُذَاكَرَةً فَحَيَاةُ العِلْمِ مُذَاكَرَتُهُ “Whoever acquires knowledge and reviews it, his worldly life and Hereafter are set right; So persist in reviewing knowledge, for the life of knowledge lies in its review.” Fat-ḥu Al-Mughīth by Ash-Sakhaawī. 11. And another said: يَا جَامِعَ العِلْمِ نِعْمَ النُّخْرُ تَجْمَعُهُ لَا تُعَدِّلَنَّ بِهِ دُرًّا وَلَا ذَهَبًا “O collector of knowledge! • ◾️The Virtues of Knowledge◾️ بســـم اللــه الرحــمــن الـرحـــيــم 📤 Benefit from the Shaykh Abu Ibraaheem Muhammad Ibnu Maani 'Al-Aanisi - may Allaah preserve him:  The Virtue of Knowledge: 1. Shaykh Al-Islaam رحمه الله, said, regarding the hadeeth: «مَنْ يُرِدِ اللهُ بِهِ خَيْرًا يُفَقِّهْهُ فِي الدِّينِ» :- “Whomever Allaah intends good for, He grants him understanding of the religion”: The necessary implication of this is that whoever Allaah does not grant understanding in the religion, He did not intend good for him. Thus, gaining understanding in the religion is an obligation. And understanding in the religion means knowing the legal rulings through their revealed evidences. So whoever does not know that, is not one who understands. Majmū‘ Al-Fatāwā (3/198). 2. Ibnu Mas‘ood رضي الله عنه said: (عَلَيْكُمْ بِالعِلْمِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُقْبَضَ، وَقَبْضُهُ أَنْ يُذْهَبَ بِأَصْحَابِهِ). “Adhere to knowledge before it is taken away, and its being taken away is that its people are taken (i.e. they die).” Al-Faqeeh wa Al-Mutafaqqih (156) with a sound chain. 3. Sufyaan Ibnu ‘Uyaynah رحمه الله said: (إِنْ تَرَكَ النَّاسُ العِلْمَ صَارَ النَّاسُ جُهَّالًا) “If people abandon knowledge, they will become ignorant.” Al-Faqeeh wa Al-Mutafaqqih, (133) with a sound chain. 4. AbdurRahmaan Ibnu ‘Umar Al-Asbahaani wrote in a letter to Abu Zur‘ah: (وَلَا يَزَالُ النَّاسُ بِخَيْرٍ مَا بَقِيَ مَنْ يَعْرِفُ العِلْمَ وَحَقَّهُ مِنْ بَاطِلِهِ، وَلَوْلَا ذَلِكَ لَذَهَبَ العِلْمُ وَصَارَ النَّاسُ إِلَى الجَهْلِ) “People will remain upon goodness as long as there remains one who knows knowledge and distinguishes its truth from its falsehood. Were it not for that, knowledge would vanish, and the people would fall into ignorance.” Al-Jarh wa At-Ta‘deel by Ibnu Abi Haatim (1/278). 5. Ibnu Al-Wazīr رحمه الله said regarding beneficial knowledge: (هُوَ أَصْلُ النَّجَاةِ وَالسَّعَادَةِ، إِذْ هُوَ الدَّاعِي إِلَى أَسْبَابِ الخَيْرِ، الصَّارِفُ عَنْ أَسْبَابِ الشَّرِّ). “It is the foundation of salvation and happiness, for it calls to the causes of good and turns away from the causes of evil." Īthār Al-Ḥaqq ‘ala Al-Khalq (1/95). _ Translated by : Abu Juwayriyah Nūruddīn ibn Sulaymān _ Source t.me/ShAbuIbrahimMuhammadManiAlAnisi/7

  • ◾️The Mubtadi' (Innovator), Rarely Returns To The Truth◾️ بســـم اللــه الرحــمــن الـرحـــيــم 📤 Benefit from the Shaykh Abu Ibraaheem Muhammad Ibnu Maani 'Al-Aanisi - may Allaah preserve him:  Shaykh Al-Islām Ibnu Taymiyyah رحمه الله said, as is mentioned in Dar’ Taʿāruḍ: “Everyone who turns away from the Salafī, Sharʿī, Divine way, will inevitably go astray and fall into contradiction, and will remain in either compounded ignorance or simple ignorance. So whoever turns away from the Salafī, Sharʿī, Divine way, there is no escape for him - he must deviate from the creed of the Salaf. He has deviated from the way of the righteous predecessors رضي الله عنهم in understanding the religion and acting upon it. Thus, he must fall into misguidance, contradiction, and remain in either compounded ignorance or simple ignorance.” So what is the difference between simple ignorance (Al-Jahl Al-Basīṭ) and compounded ignorance (Al-Jahl Al-Murakkab)? In the book Al-Fawāʾid, Ibnu Al-Qayyim رحمه الله said: “Simple ignorance is merely the absence of knowledge - he does not know. As for compounded ignorance, it is the ignorance of those who hold false beliefs: the ignorance of the people of innovation and misguidance. The first type - the one who has simple ignorance, i.e., merely lacks knowledge - such a person seeks knowledge, and as soon as the truth becomes clear to him, his ignorance is removed and he learns. But the people of false beliefs - they believe they are upon the truth and upon a sound creed, while in reality they are upon ignorance, misguidance, and deviation. They persist upon their misguidance and their false creed. For this reason, the Salaf used to say: ‘He does not return (to the Straight Path) ’ - meaning, most often he will not be granted success to repent. That is, he is not granted tawfīq for repentance.” Our Prophet ﷺ confirmed this, as reported by At-Ṭabarānī from the ḥadīth of Anas رضي الله عنه, that the Prophet ﷺ said: «إِنَّ اللَّهَ حَجَبَ التَّوْبَةَ عَنْ صَاحِبِ كُلِّ بِدْعَةٍ» “Indeed, Allaah has veiled repentance from the companion of every innovation.” Imām Aḥmad رحمه الله said, as is mentioned in Ad-Ādāb Ash-Sharʿiyyah: “That means he is not granted success to repent - he is not granted success. Because he regards his action as religion, he sees his innovation as a form of drawing closer to Allaah. For this reason, he does not return.” When you sit in the masjid of Sunnah, the masjid of Ahl As-Sunnah, you hear an āyah from the Qur’ān, or a prophetic ḥadīth, or a statement from the Salaf. You hear nothing but this - and how noble that is! A Salafī group, treading the clear path of Sunnah and Kitāb. Knowledge is knowing guidance with its proof. That is not the same as blind following - the two are never equal. • the mubtadi, does not return to the truth.

  • And Ibnu Abi Aasim رحمه الله said in the Sunnah, that Abu Bakrin Ibnu Abi Shaybah narrated from Waqi' from Sufyaan from Nusayb Ibnu Da'luq, he heard Ibnu Umar رضي الله عنهما say لا تسبوا أصحاب محمد، فلمقام أحدهم ساعة خير من عمل أحدكم عمره “Do not abuse the Companions of Muhammad ﷺ. For indeed, the standing of one of them for an hour is better than the lifetime of your deeds.” an authentic chain. These evidences establish the great virtue of the Companions (رضي الله عنهم), and that love of the Companions is a sign of Eemaan (faith), while hatred of the Companions is a sign of nifāq (hypocrisy). In the ḥadīth of al-Barā’ (رضي الله عنه): آية الإيمان حب الأنصار، وآية النفاق بغض الأنصار “The sign of faith is love of the Anṣār, and the sign of hypocrisy is hatred of the Anṣār.” ‘Abdullāh ibn Aḥmad said: “I asked my father (Imām Aḥmad): Who are the Rāfiḍah?” He replied: الذي يشتم رجلاً من أصحاب رسول الله ﷺ أو يتعرض لهم، ما أراه على الإسلام “He who reviles a man from the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, or speaks against them, and I do not see him to be upon Islām.” Tārīkh Al-Islām of Adh-Dhahabī. And Imām Aḥmad — he is the one about whom ‘Alī ibn al-Madīnī (رحمه الله) said: إن الله عز هذا الدين بأبي بكر يوم الردة، وبأحمد بن حنبل يوم المحنة “Indeed, Allah honored this religion by Abū Bakrin on the Day of Apostasy, and by Aḥmad Ibnu Ḥanbal on the Day of Trial (of the creation of the Qur'aan).” Tārīkh Al-Islām. And indeed, Ahlus-Sunnah would migrate away from a land in which the Salaf (رضي الله عنهم) were insulted or cursed. Al-Mughīrah Ibnu Muqsim said: خرج حنظلة الكاتب وجرير وعدي بن حاتم من الكوفة، فنزلوا كارتيسيا وقالوا: لا نقيم ببلد يشتم فيه عثمان رضي الله عنه “Ḥanẓalah Al-Kātib, Jarīr, and ‘Adī ibn Ḥātim left Kūfah — all three were Companions (رضي الله عنهم). They settled in Qarṭīsiyā and said: ‘We will not remain in a land where ‘Uthmān (رضي الله عنه) is reviled.’”nTahdhīb Tahdhīb al-Kamāl of Al-Ḥāfiẓ Adh-Dhahabī Imām Yaḥyā Ibnu Ma‘īn (رحمه الله) said in Al-Jarḥ wat-Ta‘dīl: وكل من شتم عثمان أو طلحة أو أحداً من أصحاب رسول الله ﷺ دجال، لا يُكتب عنه، وعليه لعنة الله والملائكة والناس أجمعين. “Whoever reviles ‘Uthmān, or Ṭalḥah, or any of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he is a dajjāl (A Big Liar), not to be written from (ie learnt from). Upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all people.” Tārīkh Al-Baghdād Abū Bakrin Al-Khallāl (رحمه الله) said in as-Sunnah that Abu Bakrin Al-Marodi that: سمعت أبا عبد الله يقول: لا نقول في أصحاب رسول الله ﷺ إلا الحسنى، رضي الله عنهم أجمعين “I heard Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imām Aḥmad) say: We do not say regarding the Companions of the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ except good. For the truth is that which the first Jamā‘ah was upon, in the time of the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ and his Companions (رضي الله عنهم). The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ said to us: ‘You are today the best people on the face of the earth.’” Ibnu Ḥazm (رحمه الله) said: “The Companions - all of them are certainly from the people of Paradise.” Allaah the Exalted says: لَا يَسْتَوِي مِنْكُمْ مَنْ أَنْفَقَ مِنْ قَبْلِ الْفَتْحِ وَقَاتَلَ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ أَعْظَمُ دَرَجَةً مِنَ الَّذِينَ أَنْفَقُوا مِنْ بَعْدُ وَقَاتَلُوا ۚ وَكُلًّا وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الْحُسْنَىٰ. For by the One in Whose Hand is my soul, if one of you were to spend the like of Mount Uḥud in gold, it would not equal a mudd (small measure) that one of them spent, nor even half of it.”

  • Fresh Picked Fruits from the Narrations of the Salaf A Foreword by the Esteemed Shaykh Saleem Ibnu Eid Al-Hilali - May Allaah preserve him بســـم اللــه الرحــمــن الـرحـــيــم All praise is due to Allaah, as He truly deserves to be praised. And may peace and blessings be upon His Prophet and servant, and upon his family and companions. To proceed: Indeed, this treatise that is before you contains Salafi gems, meticulously arranged by a knowledgeable hand, bringing forth for us these brilliant jewels. The benefits are so interconnected that one hardly finishes from one benefit except longing eagerly on to its sister (next benefit), until one reaches the end of this blessed treatise. I read the entirety of it during our journey from Sana'a to Dar Al-Hadith in Dammaj Al-Khair (The Blessed Dammaj); to visit our Salafi brothers there, to support them, and to strengthen them upon the Sunnah. And I found this treatise to be even better than I have described, as expression at times falls short of fully conveying the intent— This is especially true since our brother, Shaykh Muhammad Ibnu Mani' - may Allaah preserve him - is among those in whom we witnessed abundant goodness during the time we spent together in blessed Yemen, both on our first and second journeys. Therefore, I ask Allah, the Most High, the Exalted, by His Most Beautiful Names and Lofty Attributes, to make this treatise a beacon of truth for all Salafis. And may He reward our brother, Shaykh Muhammad Ibnu Mani', with abundant goodness, grant him health and well-being, bless his efforts, and rectify his offspring. Indeed, He is the Guardian of that and the One capable of it. And our final prayer is that all praise is due to Allah, Lord of the Worlds.
