Long time no see! Maybe for a good. My thoughts of today about how we (creative people) find each other and communicate and making something together. That's why I decided to finally mention Newgrounds here. For those of you who experienced this website in the past and have opinion... Maybe I should made a remark - I only found this in 2020 for the first time and was stunned how cool it looks and how it shows everything that is on the site. For the time there were 4 huge sections of Art, Games, Animations and Audio. And basically this was my dream website where I could find everything I looking on other websites all the time - awesome art and animations (that rarely catches me on YouTube), also find game Devs to collaborate as sound designer/musician. Newgrounds have a huge audio portal but it's not like Spotify or something like that, all audios from voice actors, musicians and artists blended together and have ... Lets say "human scale" not corpo style releases with professionally designed pages and everything, most of the time you see collaborations from several talented people, maybe solo enthusiasts... and know what? I really like that, especially in times when everyone could fake that "professional" look using some ai assistant. Nowadays it's more like "soulless" than "professional". And that's why I think Newgrounds is worth not only checking out as time-wastin-blackhole (maybe sometimes) but also as a great source of new meetings. I've been there for a long time and have few contacts though... you know me, I am really bad at this, making new contacts. But for you this could be a great base-camp, as I know almost everyone who makes sound-things struggle to find other creative persons to collab with.

Размышлял о том, как можно ввести сюда регулярную рубрику, ничего лучше не придумал чем делится первыми шагами в полевой записи, фото первого оборудования приобретённого для выхода в поле (пусть будет #firstfield ). Не знаю насколько это будет популярно среди нас, но мне кажется это отличный способ показать новеньким, что можно буквально с одним недорогим рекордером и электретным микрофоном делать вполне удачные вылазки. На фото я показываю конечно вообще не первый свой набор, а вперемешку разных лет, но для наглядности - как могут выглядеть и ваши посты, кто захочет присоединиться. Для примера тут видно мой DR100mk3, купленный уже году в 2017, а вот на фото у моря в руках у меня один из первых рекордеров Tascam DR44wl с микрофоном Rode NTG3 (вообще не самым дешевым да и не самым лучшим для начала записи в поле), рекордер же не самый дорогой и не самый лучший из всех что я держал, но в то же время на него сделано много запоминающихся записей. LOM Usi я приобрел в 2020 году, уже намного позже многих рекордеров, но считаю, что это идеальный микрофон для полевых экспериментов, небольшой и достаточно нешумный качественный микрофончик. На фото с рюкзаком уже мой нынешний можно сказать набор, где видно кастомную вертозащиту для LCT440, сделанную моим хорошим другом Эндрю, он про себя если захочет и сам расскажет, ему уж точно есть что рассказать. Как-то так. =)

Hey. Few important thoughts. 1. Don't know why this channel need comments/chat, there's no activities. My intention was to give sound fans place to discuss their hobbies and collaborate, but instead - just another dead place of internet. 2. I continue my very very very old project (first mention was years ago in this post). But since then I re-evaluated my inner energy I could invest into creative activities and decided to focus on lil cozy blog I could tell people about my sound recording experience and mix with stories about great people I found in world wide web who just like me passionately dedicated to sound and world around us, also I really really wanna to spark fire for those ppl who not making any sound activities right now but would like to try and learn more about mics, recorders and stuff we use... still looking like very ambitious project but I still must take in count my limits and health issues so that's what in few words my Sound of Russia (i.e. SoR ) project about. Little and cozy. And not only about Russia just about people who live or lived here a while, migrated somewhere or planning to move, that also would be ok. If you are interested in being part of this highly experimental and passionate blog (in both cases if you sound enthusiast or just wondering about recording things), I am asking you to tell me, I swear to not to cancel it after a few posts, my intentions about it are serious! 3. I'm not into music but I love collecting soundscapes and memories. Here I combined some of the sounds that were memorable for me. P.s. some backstory, I made accidental recording of piano that just been placed on hill near the Azov seaside. Day was beautiful, I had right mood to play this instrument and enjoyed it. Now I could only remember those feelings of peaceful harmony inside my head as there's nothing left. It disappeared like the instrument disposed to harsh erosion by moisture and winter freeze.

Tough day. It's hard to loose something dear, especially when it's living creature. Sleep well my fluffy angel

3 years have passed. Even more chaos, no hope for a better life, only fear. At least we are still living. I guess.

Coming 1Q 2025... Probably.

Every year I make special post at the end of October, as I feel this time as End of the year actually. I think this Celtic tradition is much more relevant to my life than "new year" at the middle of snowing drizzly cold winter. Time to celebrate and make promises to yourself. But this year I feel like I made everything that I could, devastated my whole body, purged energy and that's the final point of my career. Everything that I try to start takes me too long to finish, everything I did previously is not satisfying anymore. Maybe it's just time that I need to withstand and maybe there'll be some that will cheer me up and help to solve health and motivational problems... Hope you are doing well folks, I feel like the world is falling apart and we need to stand no matter how hard it will be. Or maybe surrender, I'm not sure.
