  • ﷽ ・✦・ As-Sayf wal-Qalam ・✦・ This is different to what Ittibā' al-Wahy usually posts, but strategy & leadership is part of the Deen of Allāh. And this is an exceptional build... ・・・ This is an ultrarealistic grand strategy built on a single idea, authentic Islamic knowledge paired with historic realism. Every report you receive rode the roads to reach you, age-stamped and carried by a man whose word is weighed by Sharʿi rules, a trusted ʿAdl, a Fāsiq, or even a Dhimmi. War is resolved by numbers, morale, terrain, weather, the Qāʾid's strategy and religious valour, and the spoils are divided as the Sharī'ah commands. There are no images of living beings anywhere in it, and it is the most realistic and authentic Sharī'ah based game yet. Govern through Bayʿah and oaths, a living Bayt al-Māl, officials who may obey or rebel, realistic relay of information, and the old loyalties of 'Arab, Berber and Andalusians that decide who answers your call. You have a hundred years to hold the Khilāfah together or watch it shatter into the Ṭāʾifah states. Built slowly and precisely outside the studios, with every Sharʿi detail researched by students of the Deen. Join the Majlis, follow updates, and reserve your place: ・・・ https://assayfwalqalam.com

  • ﷽ ・✦・ The Correct Understanding of the Deen has Always Remained ・✦・ A reminder and warning to those who deify the understanding of the Salaf A false belief has become widespread nowadays, especially among the Madhāhib, the Bāṭil 'Aqā'id, and even the Salafiyyah may Allāh guide them. This belief is propagated in various ways, I will mention a few statements that are commonly stated. They say, "The Salaf understood the Qur'ān and Sunnah the best" And they say, "No one can differ with the understanding of an Imām among the Salaf because they understood the religion better" And they say, "No one understands the religion better than the Atbā' al-Tābi'ūn, and no one understands the religion better than them except the Tābi'ūn, and no one understands the religion better than them except the Ṣahāba" And other statements of these likes. We respond to this, by the will of Allāh, by saying that these are statements of falsehood in totality. By Allāh there is not a single truth in them at all. The Wahy that Allāh revealed was promised to be preserved, as Allāh said: إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا الذِّكْرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُ لَحَافِظُونَ "Verily we have sent down the Dhikr and we will surely guard/preserve it." [Surah al-Hijr ayah 15:9] It being preserved necessarily means that its correct understanding is also preserved. If it is just as preserved like the texts themselves, then a person today can seek knowledge and have the same amount of understanding as Abu Bakr, 'Umar, Uthman, 'Ali, Ibn 'Abbas, Ibn 'Umar, and all the other 'Ulama of the Ṣahāba and Salaf. That this is seen as almost a heretical statements by the abovementioned sects is among the strangest of things, by Allāh. They have, unknowingly, deified the status of the Salaf and Ṣahāba to such an extent where they believe they possessed knowledge and understanding that is hidden from us today. Allāhu akbar, have these sects become equal in methodology to the Shirki religion of the Rawāfiḍ? If they say, "How will we understand this Deen without the explanations and guidance of the Salaf and Ṣahāba?" We say to them, we do not deny nor reject that we learn from the Salaf and Ṣahāba, in fact no one abandons them in totality except a Kāfir. There is no way to escape the Salaf when it comes to learning the religion of Allāh. We take from them the Arabic language, history, criticism and praise of Hadīth narrators, transmissions of various Qur'ānic recitations, and much more. We do not deny that for a person to learn this, they must study the works of the first and foremost teachers in Islām. What we reject however is when it is said that the Salaf's own words, actions, and beliefs are a proof even if there is no Naṣṣ from the Wahy to back any of it up. And that the absence of this Naṣṣ means that they knew it but we do not anymore, and therefore it is obligatory to blindly follow their words, actions, or beliefs. Allāh tells us about the best understanding in his religion, he said: فَإِن تَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي شَيْءٍ فَرُدُّوهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَالرَّسُولِ إِن كُنتُمْ تُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ وَأَحْسَنُ تَأْوِيلًا “...And if you disagree over anything, refer back to Allāh and the Rasul, if you truly believe in Allah and the last day, that is better and the best understanding...” [Surah al-Nisa Ayah 4:59] We have only ever been ordered to return back to the Wahy, to the methodology of Rasulallāh ﷺ. We were never ordered to use the statements of others as equal Hujjah to the Qur'ān and Sunnah, and we were especially not ordered to believe that the understanding of this religion decreased or got lost after the time of the Salaf, may Allāh guide these sects and turn them to the truth. والحمد لله رب العالمين... ・✦・

  • ﷽ ・✦・ Was Imām Mālik truly mentioned by Rasulallāh ﷺ? ・✦・ Refuting a common argument stated by the Muqallidūn by which they go as far as to justify their Taqlīd They mention the Hadīth attributed to Rasulallāh ﷺ: "A time will come when they will beat the flanks of their riding animals but will not find a scholar more knowledgable than the scholar of Madinah" Reported in the Sunan al-Kubra of al-Nasā'i and the Musnad of al-Bazzār. It is reported from Sufyān ibn 'Uyaynah that they used to think that this Hadīth refered to Imām Mālik. It is claimed about Sufyān that when he said "they", he meant the Tabi'ūn. These are, Wallāhul Musta'ān, mere claims about the religion of Allāh without proof. ✦ The Hadīth As for the Hadīth, it is weak since it goes trough a person named Abu al-Zubayr who is a Mudallis from whom we do not take, unless he clarifies that he heard the Hadīth from his teacher. In this Hadīth he did not do that. There is no authenticity in this Hadīth at all. Even if it was authentic, what makes these people think that Mālik fit this description when many other great A'immah existed in his time? People did not "find no scholar greater than the scholar of Madinah", rather they had Al-Awzā'i, al-Layth ibn Sa'd, al-Thawri, and many other great scholars from the Salaf that were spread over the land and to whom people travelled to seek knowledge. And even if we put this argument aside, what is the matter with them that they claim this Hadīth is about Mālik, but not about a scholar far greater than him who was actually one of the greatest 'Ulamā the Ummah has ever seen, 'Umar ibn Khaṭṭāb عليه السلام. We know that 'Umar stayed in Madīnah when he ruled, and people from all over the newly conquered lands flocked to Madīnah to learn from him and from those he appointed as scholars. Subhanallāh, if the Hadīth was authentic, who would be more befitting (by their own assumptions) of its description than 'Umar? Especially when Rasulallāh ﷺ testified to his knowledge. ✦ The Statements of Sufyān As for the statements of Sufyān, these are mere thoughts, there is absolutely no proof in them at all. Thousands of the Salaf had opinions, thoughts, doubts about certain issues of dispute, and their own Ijtihād, this is in no way a Hujjah upon us. There is no Muslim with a shred of intellect, honor, dignity, and love for the relgion of Allāh who will speak so hastily about the prophet and attribute to him a statement simply by going off the thought of Sufyān ibn 'Uyaynah. A man who is not infallible, can make mistakes, and to whom a mere thought is attributed to without prophetic affirmation. As for those who say "it is said he meant the Tabi'ūn thought so". We say, where is the proof he truly thought that? And where is the proof the Tabi'ūn all believed this when it is known that among them were scholars greater than Mālik and also those who were before Mālik. Allāhul Musta'ān. Fear Allāh oh believers, do not be easy in attributing to Rasulallāh ﷺ what he did not affirm. Rasulallāh ﷺ said: إِنَّ كَذِبًا عَلَىَّ لَيْسَ كَكَذِبٍ عَلَى أَحَدٍ مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَىَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ "Indeed a lie about me is not like a lie against anyone else, whoever intentionally lies about me then let him take his seat in the fire" [Bukhāri 1291, Ṣahīh] والحمد لله رب العالمين... ・✦・

  • ﷽ ・✦・ A mistake in understanding the Hadīth in Bukhāri 5590 ・✦・ One of the most clearest examples of scholars erring in the simplest of issues, is with the famously quoted Hadīth in al-Bukhāri 5590, where it is claimed that Rasulallāh ﷺ supposedly said that there will be people from his Ummah making musical instruments Halāl. Aside from there being clear proof from Bukhāri himself that he did not consider the Hadīth as fulfilling the criteria of his Jāmi' (the book we know as Ṣahīh al-Bukhāri), and that he only put it in to show what Hishām bin 'Ammār said. And that the narrator Aṭiyyah bin Qays is not Thiqah and he is an issue in the Isnād. And aside from the Muhadithūn stating that al-Bukhāri's methodology in his Jāmi' is a unique matter to study on its own and that it is not just a simple book containing thousands of Ṣahīh Ahādīth, rather it contains quotes, attributions, Hadīth issues, and even hints of al-Bukhāri's own Ijtihād. We will be focussing on a different matter, namely the Matn (wording) of the Hadīth. Many scholars who falsely claim Ijmā' on things on which there is in reality no Ijmā' will say that the people who will make musical instruments lawful, as in the Hadīth, will be the ones who will turn into apes and pigs as the ending of the Hadīth says. This is a grave error and a sign of their faulty methodology in this matter, may Allāh rectify them. The part where it speaks about the people being turned into apes and pigs is a separate story that is not connected to the first supposed prophecy. The Hadīth begins by stating that there will be people who will make certain things Halāl, then it starts a new sentence and speaks of other Aqwām (people) in a separate situation of which there is no proof nor any indication that it is connected to the first. There is no Lughawi (linguistic) 'Ālim who will say that the wording of the Hadīth states that the people who make musical instruments Halāl are the same people who will be at the side of the mountain being turned into apes and pigs. Read it for yourselves to see, and do not stick to reckless claims of Ijmā' that have no proof. والحمد لله رب العالمين... ・✦・

It is the month where we review our Ikhlāṣ, and the best way to do this is to return to the book of Allāh, the Qur'ān and Sunnah. Rasulallāh ﷺ said: خَيْرُكُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ وَعَلَّمَهُ "The best of you are those who learn the Qur'ān and teach it" [Bukhāri 5027] ・How to correctly read/listen to Qur'an ・An example on how the differences of the Qirā'āt are a miracle ・The method that will make you start memorizing the Qur'ān by the will of Allāh ・Qur'ān memorization tip والحمد لله رب العالمين... ・✦・

  • And in Abū Dawūd 2385 it is stated that 'Umar kissed whilst fasting, and he said to Rasūlallāh ﷺ, "Ya Rasūlallāh today I commited a grave act". Rasūlallāh ﷺ taught him that there was nothing wrong with his act and he gave an example for 'Umar to understand the matter, invalidating therewith 'Umar's Qiyās since he only saw it as a grave act due to the known prohibition of having intercourse whilst fasting. Rasūlallāh ﷺ made him remain upon the permissibility of kissing, and invalidated applying the ruling of intercourse to the matter of kissing. In Bukhāri 6311, Rasūlallāh ﷺ taught al-Barā ibn 'Āzib the Duā before going to sleep, the ending of the Duā says: "I have believed in the book that you revealed, and in your prophet that you have sent" Al-Barā ibn 'Āzib, whilst memorizing it, said, "and in your messenger that you sent", and even though the two are correct to say about Rasūlallāh ﷺ, he corrected him and told him to say "prophet", thus obliging him to stick to what the Dhāhir of revelation says, the way it was revealed by Allāh and spoken by his Rasūl ﷺ, and to not transgress beyond that. This also invalidates Qiyās since the two words are exactly the same yet Rasūlallāh prohibited saying "messenger" in this Duā. Allāhu akbar. These are but a few examples that show that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ did not speak from Qiyās, nor did he transgress beyond the Wahy that was revealed to him from Allāh, and this is our exact method which we have been calling to ever since Allāh sent our Imām, Rasūlallāh ﷺ, with the word of truth. Allāh said: إِنْ أَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا يُوحَىٰ إِلَيَّ "...I follow nothing except what is revealed to me..." [Surah al-Ahqāf āyah 46:9] قُلْ إِنَّمَا أَتَّبِعُ مَا يُوحَىٰ إِلَيَّ مِن رَّبِّي "...Say, I follow only what is revealed to me from my lord..." [Surah al-A'rāf āyah 7:203] إِنْ أَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا يُوحَىٰ إِلَيَّ "...I follow nothing except what is revealed to me..." [Surah al-An'ām āyah 6:50] والحمد لله رب العالمين... ・✦・

  • ﷽ ・✦・ Five examples from the Sunnah indicating the methodology of the Ahl al-Dhāhir ・✦・ It should be known that there are countless of Ayāt and Ahādīth that directly prove the methodology of the Ahl al-Dhāhir. And as for the following five, these are clear examples of Rasūlallāh following it and teaching it. When 'Abdullāh ibn Ubay the Munāfiq passed away, his son came to Rasūlallāh ﷺ to request him to pray Janāzah for his father. Rasūlallāh ﷺ got up but 'Umar stopped him and told the Rasūl ﷺ that Allāh had prohibited him from praying over them. Rasūlallāh ﷺ then said: ... "...My lord gave me the choice for he said, "Seek forgiveness for them or don't seek forgiveness for them, if you seek forgiveness for them seventy times... (...then Allāh would not forgive them...)" and I shall increase over seventy..." [Bukhāri 4670, Sūrah al-Tawbah āyah 9:80] This Hadīth shows that Rasūlallāh ﷺ took the Dhāhir of the verse, and he followed the Aṣl of it being permissible to pray for them in general, until this was prohibited later on. And this is our exact method and that of no other Madhab. This invalidates Qiyās, Ta'līl, and other deviant ideas that the Madhāhib would use over this verse if they were given the choice to judge on the matter. And we see in the Hadīth of Abū Sa'īd ibn al-Mu'allā that whilst he was praying, Rasūlallāh ﷺ called him, and Abu Sa'īd did not respond. After his Ṣalāh he came to the Rasūl ﷺ and Rasūlallāh ﷺ said: مَا مَنَعَكَ أَنْ تَأْتِيَ أَلَمْ يَقُلِ اللَّهُ ‏يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَجِيبُوا لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ‏ "What prevented you from coming to me, did Allāh not say, "Oh you who believe answer to Allāh and his Rasūl if they call you" [Bukhāri 4647, Sūrah al-Anfāl āyah 8:24] There is in this proof for our method of Takhṣīṣ (specification) and that the more specific evidence is taken instead of the 'Ām (general). And Rasūlallāh ﷺ, whilst talking about Zakāh regarding treasure, cattle, camels, and horses, was asked about donkeys and he said: لَمْ يُنْزَلْ عَلَىَّ فِيهَا شَىْءٌ إِلاَّ هَذِهِ الآيَةُ الْجَامِعَةُ الْفَاذَّةُ ‌‏فَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَرَهُ * وَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَرَهُ‏ "Nothing was revealed to me regarding it except this general verse, "Whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it. And whoever does an atom's weight of evilness will see it" [Bukhāri 4963, Sūrah al-Zalzalah āyah 99:7-8] We can find in this Hadīth an example of taking orders upon 'Umūm (generality) and to use them for anything that they encompass. And this Hadīth subsequently invalidates all other methods, among which is Qiyās and Ta'līl, because Rasūlallāh ﷺ did not use nor teach it, whilst in this narration there is a clear situation where there is an issue on which nothing was revealed (as Rasūlallāh ﷺ himself said), and Qiyās is only used on issues on which it is said that nothing is revealed regarding it. Rasūlallāh ﷺ did not try to connect it to existing rulings that resemble it whilst horses and donkeys resemble each other, and there are many examples of the Madhāhib where they make Qiyās between the two, anyone who has studied their rulings would know this. In this Hadīth, the absence of Qiyās and the return to the 'Umūm of the Qur'ān is very evident, and it is established that this is the methodology of Rasūlallāh ﷺ. Allāh said: قُلْ إِنَّمَا أَتَّبِعُ مَا يُوحَىٰ إِلَيَّ مِن رَّبِّي "Say, I follow only what is revealed to me from my lord" [Sūrah al-A'rāf āyah 7:203]
