THE PRODIGAL SON - Part 1 Then He said: “A certain man had two sons. And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.’ So he divided to them his livelihood. And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living.” Luke 15:11–13

This Sunday, on August 23 at 9:30am, you will have a chance to experience the Family Healing that these two families experienced. Invite your family members and relatives, and believe God is still capable to restore families through Jesus Christ.

“Then he fell on his brother Benjamin’s neck and wept, and Benjamin wept on his neck. Moreover, he kissed all his brothers and wept over them, and after that his brothers talked with him.” Genesis 45:14-15 (NKJV)

2. Joseph and his brothers – Jacob, the father, loved Joseph best and gave him a special coat of many colours. This made his older brothers very jealous. Then, they sold him as a slave and lied to their father saying he had been killed by a ferocious animal. There was much grief in heart of Jacob. But after 22 years, Joseph forgave his brothers and the family was restored again.

“But Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck and kissed him, and they wept.” Genesis 33:4 (NKJV)

1. Jacob and Esau – Esau hated Jacob for having received the Abrahamic Blessing ahead of him and planned to kill his twin brother Jacob (Genesis 27:41). But God healed that broken relationship, and they met each other after 20 years in good terms.

The Family Healing is a Journey of Forgiveness and Restoration of Trust, Love and Reciprocity. In the Bible we find many examples, and we can highlight two of them:

HOW TO FORGIVE AND LOVE WITHOUT FEELING LOVE?… If you love Me, keep My commandments. John 14:15 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him. John 14:21

LOVE, BLESS, DO GOOD, AND PRAY… THAT YOU MAY BE SONS OF YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER… But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect. Matthew 5:44-48
