Hey, everyone. I would like to introduce you to Axmadjon Teacher, one of the most tech-savvy teachers I've met. 👨🏻‍💻 He has recently launched a study app called Kaizen to help you focus better. You can create goals, study sessions, and track your progress on the app. Watch this video instruction to find out more. 📺 I've been following his Telegram channel, too, where you can find movie recommendations, vocabulary explanations, video lessons, and more! I especially liked his article videos on reading articles. 🖥 AxmadjonTeacher 👈

Exam story – how I scored 8.5 in Writing 👈

STUDYING IELTS THROUGH HOBBIES 🥾 Not long ago I was introduced to the wonderful world of hiking, and I loved it. I went ahead and watched some hiking-related YouTube videos, as is my habit with just about any new hobby I take up – I bought myself darts 🎯 a few months ago and I made sure to watch YouTube tutorials so I can finally learn how to hit the bullseye. Now you will notice that I don’t do any of this for the sake of improving my IELTS score whatsoever, but without even realizing it I pick up both new ideas and language (I just used this incredible phrase “hit the bullseye”, which I also learned from YouTube, of course😉) Such exposure to English stands me in good stead for when I need to talk about a variety of different topics in IELTS. For example, when I was watching this hiking video by a professional hiker, I stumbled upon a useful expression – runner’s high or “hiker’s high” as she put it– and I thought to myself, “Oh, cool! I’m going to use it if I need to talk about running”, a topic that is not uncommon in IELTS Speaking Part 1. Mind you, I had already come across this phrase at some point before, but that didn’t mean that I could simply wrote it off – something that most students are guilty of doing much too often. On the ideation front, I could even talk about my first hike in Speaking Part 2; there are plenty of cue cards where I could use my story – describe something you did that was challenging, describe a new skill you learned, describe an unusual hobby, and so much more. No speaking marathon, book, or IELTS-related channels can give you this all! Long story short, dear children – consume a LOT of English across a wide range of themes, and Bob’s your uncle. The key thing is that you pay attention to concepts/ideas and language and relate them to IELTS topics. That’s all I’m asking you to do: watch and read stuff, record useful sentences from it, and recycle it by talking/writing about it. And remember, volume is another key – hundreds of hours of exposure to the language, not just doing it for a week and giving up. @ulugbekspeaks
